CLOSED! Check out the new spot at Southcenter(or Westfield for all you new school folks). It’s located on the right side of the entrance if you enter from INSIDE the mall.

Sadly, this shop is now CLOSED. There’s another bake shop in South Center — at the end of Seafood City(to the left of the produce section) right before walking into the mall area.

I can’t believe there’s a Valerios right down the street from my house(well…a few miles away). I used to make the drive to crowded-ass southcenter mall to get my fill of delicious, hearty, filling filipino breads but this is sooo much closer. Diabetes, here I come. PS– CASHONLY. We had $ 2 and a quarter on us, which was enough for four putos, which was enough for two happy bellies.

I always come here for cheese bulilit, ube bulilit, and pan de coco! Only thing is, they just take cash and the ATM machine inside suuuuuuuuuper charges! SOO make sure you come here with cash on deck! They always have something different to sample by the register! I always go home happy and excited to eat my treats! :)

I absolutely love their pan de ube(sweet bread stuffed with sweet purple yam). Soo yummy! I also love that they have whole wheat pan de sal(dinner rolls). It’s always a plus when you can have a healthy version of something you love! Everything here is homemade and freshly baked from scratch everyday. The prices are great too! Less than $ 4 for a dozen pan de sal. Almost everything is under $ 4 it seems like.

Monkey gotta have CHICKENEMPANADA and UBEBREAD. Great location for whenever dropping in on 99 Ranch. Busy location tends to sell out on stuff, so you have to be quick/early on peak days.

This is by far the best place to get fresh and hot pan de sal! Just don’t go at the end of the day because the freshness of the bread will not be hot anymore. But whenever I go get them they still seem to be warm when I pick it up. So they do keep it fresh and warm all day. The prices are so reasonable you can’t go wrong with leaving the store with 3 – 4 bags of bread for like $ 20! They sell other pastries as well. Soooo yummy! One thing to keep in mind is that they only take cash.

I remember when Valerio’s first opened up in the Great Wall Shopping Center. It was the first time that I fell in love, in love with the ube pan del sal that is. OMG, these small breads filled with creamy sweet delicious ube is amazing! Everytime I go home, I always make my brother or parents stop off at Valerios so I can run in to grab a few bags of the ube breads. The breads are made fresh daily and the prices are pretty good. It used to be 8 pieces for $ 1.99 but it recently went up to 2.50 for 6 pieces. They used to be cheaper and you get more per bag but eh it is what it is. I bought two bags on my way home from the airport on friday and by the time I went back to LA on Sunday evening it was all gone. Yeah I’m no piggy, I had lots of help of course. I brought a bag to work today and my boss came back for 3rds and the bag only came with a total of 6. :) I remember buying a couple of bags for my gf in Arizona and til this day, she keeps asking me about the breads. I found a location here in LA, Carson to be exact so my lucky friend will be getting a care package soon! :)

The shop is located inside Great Wall Shopping Mall. Before you walk in you are rushed with the aroma of fresh pan de sal. How I love the smell of fresh bread out of the oven, especially pan de sal. My favorite from Valerio’s is their pineapple cream cheese bread. I got some today along with their cheese pan de sal(regular pan de sal baked with cheese sprinkled on the top) and cheese pimiento bread. I had to stop myself from buying so many other things… siopao, regular pan de sal, ube pan de sal… I can go on and on. Only reason why they get 4 stars is that they take CASHONLY!

Pan de sal is the best. They also have great siopao. They only accept cash, so hit the ATM before stopping in. If you are craving for a taste of home, Valerio’s is the place to go.

Great Filipino baked delights at reasonable prices. Closest Filipino bakery in Kent. My favorite is the bread filled with Ube. Yummy! The only thing I don’t like is they only take cash. Everyone else accepts debit cards if they want same as cash transaction… I think they can get more business if they do.

Valerio’s is the definitive Filipino bakery. Though I am quite surprised at how out of it I must be to have missed this gem for so long after so many visits to Great Wall Mall. To be sure, it is all the way near the front where all the empty storefronts are. Still I can not believe this place has been open since 07. I thought it just opened. Anyway, Valerio’s is a California bakery chain that has opened shop in Kent. The best comparison to the goods found here is Delite Bakery on Beacon Hill. Though Delite seems to have a mix of Western and Filipino baked goods. Whereas Valerio’s specializes in the latter. Tons of baked goods here including pan de sal($ 2.40), pan de leche, ensaymada and numerous items with ube(purple yam). Picked up a pack of egg pan de sal which was delicious. I think these would work well as slider burger buns. They also have steamed humbao called siopao which is like Hawaiian manapua. As well as baked buns which are similar to those found in Chinese bakeries. The chicken deluxe($ 1.60) is a bun with chicken, carrots and mushrooms. Kind of tasted like a pot pie with a Filipino twist. While most of the items looked good, there were some quirky items that seemed sort of out of place to me like spaghetti and tomato sauce and an item called otsy(utsy?) which looked like a fried mess with shrimp on top. The spaghetti seemed odd particularly because I think it would have the appeal of conveyor belt corn sushi. As in who buys it? Getting back to the point, Valerio’s is a great bakery with lots of excellent breads and pastries. Good selection and cheap too. Worth a visit if you are shopping at 99 Ranch or nearby at Ikea which is just three blocks away.

Oh Valerios, thank you for existing to give me my fix on delicious pan de sal!!! We tried getting pan de sal from another bakery in town, but it tasted more like regular rolls, and was not right. Valerios has the BEST pan de sal, hot and fresh and with the right flavor. Did I mention it’s pretty cheap too??? In addition, they have lots of other pastries/desserts/savory breads. Enough to try that you could probably come back every week and try a new one and not run out of things to try after a year. Personally, I’m eyeing up a mocha roll cake… Staff was friendly and fast moving. Only bummer is cash only, but hey go get some groceries at 99 market two steps down, get some cashback and grab some pan de sal on the way out(^_^) Love you Valerios, will be back for sure! Key Points: Staff: friendly, quick, answered questions nicely Food: fresh, hot, delicious authentic filipino breads/pastries Drinks: N /A Atmosphere: Busy, friendly Great for: grabbing getting your filipino pastry fix! yum!

Wow… this place rocks… I’ve never even heard of them before… I didn’t know they are in a lot of places in the California area… why not one in New York… I aways have to go to New Jersey to pick up some really good Filipino Pastries /fresh bread but I am waiting for the opening of Christine’s bakery here in Roosevelt so I do not have to travel there anymore. … I was really delighted to see all these traditional goodies and so much of ube bread versions than in this place… pick up a few Ube bread basket, Ube ensaymada, Ube bread… The Long bread filled with cream cheese and pineapple filling is the best for me I had to go pick up a few and some Baby Ensaymadas to bring home with me in the plane. Whew!!! Aside from the breads they also have Okoy… Spaghetti…Filipino style… and Pancit Palabok …and Oh… their cakes and pastries looks good too. We bought some native ones… Biko, Haleja and Puto… MASARAP…YUM…YUM…

This place is tiny! Came here twice to stock up on the Pan de Sal. Great prices. First time I went, they ran out of a lot of stuff on their counter. Last time I came back was before noon and they had Bitsu Bitsu!!! Not as much variety as the Valerios down in San Diego, but they had your basic needs for a Pilipino bakery. Located in the Great Wall shopping area where Ranch 99 is. Go early if you want the baked and fried goods!

tasty treats for a tasty price. Good baked goods at very reasonable prices. This place is way better than the place on Beacon Hill. If you want a quick snack and some Filipino delights, go here. My favorite so far is bread filled with Ube. Yum. Ok, my mouth is watering just thinking about eating it.

«BREADSOGOOD… IT’S GONE!» THEGOOD: –Owners are really down to earth and dedicated to quality over quantity. –Employees are always friendly, helpful and accommodating. –EVERYTHING is baked fresh DAILY –Amazing hot Pan de Sal fresh from the oven! –Clean and well organized shop. –Great prices THEBAD: –Even though huge batches are made, most items still sell out. (a true sign of quality over quantity and how good everything really is) –Far from where I live (but the trip is worth it) THEDECISION: You can always tell a bakery is good when items sell out. This is one of those places. Must be the best bakery that specializes in Filipino baked delicacies in Washington. They have traditional items but also put their own twist on some or simply innovate new creations. The Parmesan cheese bread is one that’s always sold out before I can ever get to it! Pimento bread roll is my recommendation. Along with their famous Pan de Ube(taro roll) and Pan de Coco(coconut roll) it’s like Nutella on a delicious piece of bread but better because it’s real! Not over processed or chemically induced. Just natural ingredients. Traditional Ensamada is awesome. They strike a great balance between flavors… not too sweet, buttery or rich but just right. The meat filled breads are great too. Like Piroshki but their own version. Pork, Chicken… even a corned beef! Damn! That’s taking it to the next level.

WHATDOYOUKNOWABOUTTHEPANDEUBE?! Valerio’s is all over the bay area. Every saturday I’d go to the Valerio’s in S SF and stock up for the week. Definately beat Goldilocks in many of their goodies. Everytime I’d come to Seattle for a family function one entire suitcase would be packed with pan de ube. When my family in the Seattle area discovered Valerio’s they went on a splurge. I’m glad they’re branching out! Masarap!

It seems like it probably is the bets filipino bakery around Seattle, but that’s kind of unfortunate. I use to live in the bay area(san jose), and Goldilock’s there was much better than Valerio’s, unfortunately no Goldilock’s here(there is one in Vancouver, BC but it’s so-so). It’s still pretty good overall for Ube bread, sapin-sapin, sticky rice, enpenada and things like that. The main issue i have with this place is that it seems inconsistent, one day it’s 5 stars, another it’s barely 3. Not sure whether that is a fact or not, but i seem to always have better luck on saturday’s than sunday’s … maybe a different cook ??

The Best Filipino Bakery ever in WA State !! Located in The Great Wall in Kent/Renton. Now you don’t have to buy a ticket to the Philippines or fly down to Valerio’s in California. Its just like how Grandma LoLa use to make it. Make some Hot Cocoa or Coffee and enjoy the plentiful yummy goodness Valerio’s made with LOVE. ***just so you know they accept CASHONLY !! There are various baked goods like: Pan de Sal –«Hot Pan de Sal» is a big part of the traditional Filipino breakfast that accompanies the morning cup of coffee. It is as good to eat plain as it is with anything you decide to put in it. Pan de Coco — A Filipino roll baked with a sweet coconut filling. Pan de Ube — A soft Filipino bread with a sweet purple yam filling. +Heres a Good Breakfast Idea… buy some Pan de Sal & fry some Eggs and Spam to make one yummy Pan de Spamwich =P
