Pro Tip: Don’t go to this restaurant on a scorching hot day. I’m not gonna ding this restaurant a star for not having air conditioning in Seattle. I have to say this is one of my favorite Vietnamese Noodle Houses in the Seattle Metropolitan Area. If you are wanting to come on the weekend, there might be a little wait but I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes to get seated. Time for the good part… The food! One of the must haves is their butter fried chicken. I’ve seen this restaurant mentioned in numerous articles about fried chicken and they definitely do it right here. The chicken is crispy and savory and you just want more after each bite. It is served with fried garlic, shallots, and onions on top with sweet chili sauce on the side. It is so good you’ll want another order. They have an expansive noodle menu which is a given. Anything from soup noodles to dry stir fried noodles. My favorite here is the M4 which is a combination of pork liver, shrimp, BBQ pork, and spareribs. If you like your noodles spicy they have hot chili sauce and pickled jalapeños on every table. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant so if you’re ever down south and craving noodles, check this place out! Bön Appetite.

I freakin love duck noodle. Aka mi vit tiem which is a braised duck soup with egg noodles. It also has baby bok choy and shiitake mushrooms. I’m salivating just writing this review, despite having had dinner already. Service is quick and the waiters are friendly. I don’t often dine in, but my dad often buys the duck noodle dish to-go. They give the same portion and all the«extras» like pickled radish/carrots and jalapeños. I’ve also tried their calamari which was not too bad. There were a lot of French onions in this appetizer dish which is what I liked about it, though I can go without the dipping sauce it came with.

Very QUICK service. However the quality of food is not authentic. It’s very Americanized and I was a bit disappointed.

Tucked inside the Ranch 99 market. This spot offer variations of Chinese noodle dishes. The broth is very soothing and a perfect compliment to their egg noodles. Service was prompt and the waitress was very informative on their array of dishes. This place is a must to cure a common hangover The broth alone is what made their soups sooo delicious! Will definitely return

This is my #1 spot in the Great Wall Shopping Mall. I love their fried butter chicken wings. an awesome combination of tastes for fried chicken. crispy, garlicky, and mildly buttery, but not too fatty or greasy. Really just a perfect culmination of tastes for wings. In fact, if I was on death row, I might just order these wings for my last meal. that’s how much I love these wings. Also I like their combination chow mien(crispy), and combination chow fun. If you like noodle soup, I’d recommend M5(braised duck with Chinese herbs and spices) egg noodle soup– it comes with a full duck thigh and leg as one piece… just let it all soak in for the soup flavor to build up. This place is a solid addition to Great Wall, and I can’t stop raving about the wings. It’s A6 off their menu. Try them at least once.

The food is good, especially the deep fried chicken wings and deep fried shrimp. The service is a little slow, as the staff are under extreme stress of taking other people’s orders and serving others.

The nice and flavorful. I typically come here to get plates that have intestines. I know weird right? But this is the only place I would eat. This time when I came here, I grabbed a vegetarian dish and my god! FOODGASM. I especially love the tofu. The tofu is soft on the inside and slightly, very slightly crispy on the outside and it actually have seasoning, giving it flavor. The other plate I got was a flat rice seafood steer fried noodles. This plate was okay to me. I personally believe it is mainly scallops, I wish there was more variety to it. But still it was really good. I would highly recommend getting the fried chicken for that is one of the dishes they are known for. Service wasn’t the best. I suggest they should have a cashier, buser, and one or two servers each doing their part but they had 4 people and no one came to refill my water. In fact it seems like they might be butting heads. But overall, I would recommend this place. P. s. Grab a bubble tea before you enter! Or drink your beverage slowly

This place is one of the top 5 best noodle house in the Seattle metropolitan area in my opinion. I always come here super hungry and leave super full haha. This place doesn’t ever disappoint me, I always know what I’m getting!

I frequent here, one of my favorite local noodle houses. May be one of the best in the greater Seattle area for wonton noodle soup style. They also have a Seattle location. Any who I usually come here on weekends with friends. Good hangover food. To start that fried chicken is superb. The crispness is insane. I’ve never gotten anything that was not soup. My friend had and he hated it. So I strongly advise to stick with the soup only. There’s 3 different styles of soup. Most of then all have the same toppings. Main difference is the type of noodles. There’s egg noodles, vermicelli noodles, skinny rice noodles(phở style) and fat rice noodles(chow fun style). My favorite is the phở noodle style. I vary from either the BBQ pork and wonton, to the combination which has liver, shrimp, free range chicken and BBQ pork. Another thing I love about this place is the pickled jalapeños. Some days it’s super spicy some days it’s not. It’s pretty hit or miss. Service is above average for an authentic Asian restaurant so can’t complain.

Had gone to Great Wall to eat somewhere else, but decided to try something new, so we gave this place a try. There were a lot of things on the menu that sounded good to me, but decided to go with the stir-fried vermicelli noodles with seafood. I really enjoyed my noodles, and hadn’t expected to eat the whole thing. I tried some of my cousin’s egg noodle soup broth, and I thought it had a good taste to it. My 5-year-old nephew ordered the gyozas, and he actually ate all of it. He said it was better than the gyozas he had at some other restaurant. The staff was friendly. I definitely wouldn’t mind trying something else off of their menu.

I like the Hue Ky Mi Gia location in Seattle better due to customer service. They need to fire that waiter who has the bad habit of not writing things down here. We had 5 people ordering and he was just standing there like he would remember all the orders. I knew for sure he would screw it up. Well, he did mess up. He forgot the appetizer but luckily it wasn’t included in the bill so we let it go. But we asked to replace one meat item for tofu. He said he cannot replace, only can add into it. We were fine. But then the noodle came out, there was no meat. I mean WTH. The bill was adding tofu too. Anyways, it was a small issue but telling me they need to up their game on services here. The food quality is pretty much the same as Seattle location.

This place has a huge collection of noodle dishes, soupy, dry, vermicelli, rice noodles, egg noodles, anything you can think of I’m sure they can whip it up. I have the braised duck egg noodles. The duck meat was delicious, tender and juicy! The The soup base for the noodles tasted like a vegetable base with lots of MSG and chicken powder though. We also ordered a side of fried Chinese donuts. They were not fresh out of the frier and was cold and dry, not crunchy at all. We also ordered a side of duck meat, came with some breast meat and a drumstick. Overall, the experience was okay for an Asian noodle place. The service was quick, too quick in fact that make me doubt the quality of their food just a little bit.

Like the Korean place in the same mall, this is another restaurant that always seems to be packed. So we decided to choose it for lunch one day. I can see why it is crowded. Very good prices for a large portion of food. The food isn’t the best quality, but it is satisfying and hearty. We all ordered noodle soups of one sort or the other, except my husband who ordered his dry. I could tell they used cheap noodles in their dishes, but otherwise we were pleased with the flavor of the broth. The broth is meat based. I ordered the seafood noodle soup, but I still think they may have started with the same broth. So be aware of that if you are vegetarian(which is why my husband didn’t go for a soup dish).

Came before 11 am last Saturday and was seated immediately. My first complaint is they don’t have Diet Coke, that is what i asked for and they brought me a regular Coke — sent it back. Came for the butter garlic chicken so ordered it and some chicken fried rice. Both were tasty, even if the chicken did not have much garlic flavor. My second complaint, which i have not heard anyone mention, is that whatever spices they used for the chicken included SUGAR. It was very noticeable to me, and distracted from the dish. Took leftovers home and enjoyed them for dinner.

Had lunch here on a Sunday and of course they were super busy. There was about few people ahead of me on the waiting list, and I was seated in no time. Service is quick, pricing is great, and the food is deliciously flavored. Only downfall is that there was something floating in my water. Just a heads up, for non pork eaters, all of their broths consist of pork! Other then that, definitely come here to satisfy your noodle and fried food cravings!

First time eating at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken egg noodles with the broth on the side. I have had egg noodles before and it has always been a good experience, but this restaurant makes it close to perfection! I asked for the broth on the side because it gives me control of how much broth I want on my noodles, lettuce, green onions and chicken. It keeps the food fresh, and not soggy if it’s sitting in the broth. I would add a little broth each time I would take a couple bites, and this is the way to go! It give you the broth flavoring with the right amount of fresh egg noodles and a crispy crunchy bite into the chicken(skin and meat). To add a nice little taste to the meal, grab a small sauce plate and put about 8 – 10 of their jalepenos on the table for a sweet and spicy zing with each bite. Overall, this was a refreshing meal that include some meat(chicken), vegetables and a flavorful broth! I am leaning towards eating this over phở any day! I highly recommend this restaurant for noodle soup.

Well, this is an overdue review — we were here about three weeks ago and am just getting to reviewing now. Pros: — Employees were very friendly and accommodating — Food: we ordered special combination fried rice, fried butter garlic chicken, and honey walnut shrimp. Food was great! My special favorite is the fried butter garlic chicken — not too garlicky, crunchy, and very tasty. — Overall, yummy food and can be our go to place when we crave Chinese/Cantonese food. Cons: My reason for two stars? Towards the end of our meal and as we were waiting for our payment to be processed, I guess someone went to the bathroom. Looks like the bathroom was nearly in the back, through a hallway. BUT, we smelled the bathroom –_-. Good thing we were done eating and we were on our way out… not sure if anyone complained afterwards. Need better ventilation, please.

My family and I have been coming to Hue Ky Mi Gia at both locations Seattle and Renton since they opened their door but we like the Renton location close to home and it’s inside Ranch 99 plaza and there are plenty of parking. You need to come before 11am or you will have to wait in line. This is a family owned and operated restaurant so they really care about the quality and service that they provide. If we craving for Mi‘ we always go here. They are famous for their duck and wonton noodles. I love the broth that comes with their noodle dishes. it’s sweet and flavorful. you don’t need to flavor it with any hoisin or soy sauce. it’s perfect as is! i add chili oil and sriracha because i love spicy. noodle bowls are big and come with lots of meat. You must try these dishes: Duck noodle Wonton soup or Sui kao soup The house combination noodle Chicken wings Deep fried tofu Crispy noodle seafood Chicken noodle soup This place is a must try if you’re craving a delicious bowl of egg noodle from an authentic restaurant.

Noodles, noodles, and more noodles! Overall, Hue Ky is an average Asian noodle place, with nothing particularly special that stood out. Though they have noodles galore on their menu, there’s better tasting food in Seattle’s International District. Additionally, the customer service was lacking quite a bit. The waiters weren’t terribly mean; they just didn’t seem like they cared at all. There were long periods of time where no one stopped by to ask for our order, refill our tea pot or even offer ice water. The restaurant was practically empty and we still had to flag down a waiter several times, and even then, there was a delay. If you’re closeby and not too picky, Hue Ky is an okay option in a bind. However, there are different options/restaurants within the Great Wall complex that might be better.

Took the hubby for a late lunch/early dinner at 3:30 on a weekday and the place was jam-packed. Rather than clean a booth for us, we sat at the long table where the employees were also seated having lunch, it was kind of odd. It’s not the cleanest place in the world so put on some rose-colored glasses and don’t pay too much attention. Service was good. Food was ok, again, I thought it could be hotter– temp-wise. Proteins were sparse and my shrimp weren’t very well cleaned. My husband enjoyed his crispy noodles and veggies and I enjoyed the soup I chose. The noodles were certainly the high point.
