Service was Excellent but food was Mediocre. The Crab Dip appetizer was Poor for me and the manager let me exchange it for another app. There was lots of crab but it was more of a salsa type than Creamy dip style. Very Bland! But, kids eat free on Tuesdays so I went to try that out. The kids meals and the steak my kid ordered were ok. The other plates were ok too. I would try them again but they are not cheap.

Our waitress, Charity was terrific(35% tip) as was the $ 7.50 Margarita but then my Birthday meals for me and my wife may have lost points to a $ 1 Banquet TV dinner. I asked before going if they had the advertised soft-shell crab dinner and was told it was available and was their current special. Sure enough, there was no such dinner or lunch but for twice the $ 16 price of the appetizer I could get 2 crabs.(Boy am I glad I didn’t get 2 as I couldn’t finish the first)! The $ 8 onion strings were soft and under cooked but the ketchup was okay. My wife’s 2 pm fried buffet shrimp and fish(?) were so over done they broke when she tried to cut them. The sweet waitress said they had new heating burners and maybe they were too high. Perhaps those were shrimp from 11am and we didn’t get there until 2 or they could have been yesterday’s. This is sad because being from Louisiana, I have had many prior great experiences at Landry’s and still recommend their Westheimer and Galveston restaurants. Try Babins or Rainforest if you want to support the chain. BTW, this was a $ 54 lunch before tip…(I have done over 50 reviews, and this is only my 2nd or 3rd1 star…)

I was brought here for my birthday. The wait staff was excellent. I had your shrimp scampi and it was very good. And I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes good seafood.

I can say that my experience here was stellar! My server was very attentive and the food was on point! Everything was fresh! The drinks we ordered from the bar were perfect! I liked the Blood Orange Mule :) I enjoyed the fried pickles and jalapeño cornbread! I will definitely be back to try other dishes. The only thing I didn’t like, were the salad dressings they had to offer… other then that, my dining experience at this location was great. Good job guys

Just went for Easter Dinner. TERRIBLE. it was $ 30 a person for food that literally tasted worse than food that I could have gotten at Popeyes for $ 4. The buffet only consisted of fried shrimp, fried chicken and rice and variations of those. The restaurant itself was grungy. The worse part was they sat us and BEFORE eating I wanted to wait for our waitress to see how much it was, after 5 minutes, they never came so I gave in. Huge mistake.

Food was decent and the service was kinda slow. I’ve been to Landrys in other states and this didn’t leave a lasting impression. It wasn’t bad it wasn’t great but very lackluster. It’s very small too.

Wish I could put Zero Stars! We were seated by a hostess who could not decide where to seat us in an almost empty restaurant. We started talking and soon realized after about ten minutes and several waiters walking by that we had not even helped with drinks. We looked around, making it obvious we were looking for a waiter, and no one took the effort to come check on us. We got up to leave and not one employee tried to stop us including the hostess who knew she had just seated us. We had a bad experience at another Landry’s concept recently. Starting to think we should avoid anything owned by Landry’s. We ended up with better food and a cheaper meal down the street at Orlean’s which is a great restaurant!

Really enjoyed the buffet on our last visit, specifically the delicious salmon. The sauce was almost gone and when I asked, the manager brought over a fresh bowl. The fried shrimp and catfish had gone cold but I’m sure they would have replenished the fried foods(which I didn’t really need) if we wanted. Everything else was fresh and delicious. So much better than the overpriced, dried-out salmon and seafood I get in most upscale restaurants. What I really like about their buffet is they don’t whisk it away at 2:00 pm on the dot, but wait until the diners are finished. A nice, friendly waiter added to the overall excellent experience!

For the same money there are way better places to go. Service like molasses. We asked for bread twice and tarter twice finally got the bread never got the tarter. Food okay taste except Microwaved rice and fishy crab orzo. Waitress wiping sweat off in bathroom not washing hands afterward. Waiter outside leaning against building smoking. Won’t be back.

Incredible service, amazing food, fantastic prices. The staff here are amazing. Everyone was warm, welcoming, friendly, and prompt. Shout out to our server Josh, he recommended the mahi and it was to die for. He also provided some of the best service I’ve seen in a long time.

Ok… So… I don’t want to bash this restaurant. But I’ve got to be honest. The words that best describes Landry’s. Slow Service Bad Attitude Sticky Chairs and Tables Very Dirty & Worn/Torn Chairs & Carpet Let’s talk about the food… It Took forever. We were starving by the time the food came out we were ready to dig in. It looked so good. But looks can be deceiving. Even though there were maybe only 7 tables occupied in the Entire restaurant. At our table there was my mother and father n law, my husband myself our 15yr old daughter and 17yr old son(at the time) we all ordered seafood and we all didn’t finish our food. The shrimp had this smell like it was bleached to mask smell.(I know that smell all to well back in my hometown there was a restaurant busted for doing the same thing.) I politely asked the waitress to please ask the chef why the shrimp tasted funny and had that smell. She copped an attitude and got the manager who was pretty defensive had the nerve to stick his hand in my daughters plate and taste her shrimp! WYF are you serious dude. No One took food home except for our son. It was all left on the table. in almost the position we received it in. Our son kept saying he didn’t want to waist $ but I ended up throwing it away 2wks later it sat in the fridge lol. And we absolutely didn’t pay for this meal. We had to go eat at another restaurant after leaving here. The drinks It took forever with the drinks and when they finally came we had to send them back because they were dirty, greasy film floating on top of soda and tea… ugh Would we go back to Landry’s HECKNO!!! Would we recommend Landry’s HECKNO!!!

Nice atmosphere and affordable seafood and fish selection. Too bad presentation was sub par and the quality of my shrimp was inconsistent. However, it’s reliable enough when you a hankering to grub on something from under the sea.

One of the worst dining experience ever. 1. Slow service — from drinks to soup to salad to entrée 2. Waited forever for the entrée to arrive, only to find it being cold in the middle 3. Sent it back, expecting the kitchen to make a new fresh dish. But when the dish came back it’s the same dish I had, except obviously was reheated and they were nice enough to somewhat reconstruct it 4. While the manager and waitress was being very apologetic, we were charged the full amount(didn’t even comp our sodas). So yes we paid $ 75 for party of 2 with long wait and cold food. 5. Not to state the obvious, but would never go back to this landrys

The service was excellent, but the food quality has slipped a bit. The gumbo was too thin and too heavy on the filé powder. Blackened catfish was VERY salty. Red snapper was good, but the accompanying rice was inedible, as it was cooked in crab boil seasoning and what tasted like old shrimp broth. Yuk!

Absolutely loved the entire experience. Wonderful service, exceptional bar that made hard-to-do drink orders and terrific food. We started with the lobster bisque which was the best we’ve had since living in New England. Don’t miss that!!! Also had Seafood Trash which could be a meal in itself. Both entrees were on the level of fine dining. I had the Shrimp Fresco which was like stuffed shrimp on steroids. Couldn’t have been better and they allowed me to change out the side dish for something I preferred. Deserts were also great as was the chocolate martini to end the experience. Our server, Nadim, was very good, but did not hover. He was always nearby and had interesting things to discuss about the menu and food in general. The overall atmosphere was generally quiet and enjoyable. Not church quiet, but you could hold a conversation easily. Do not pass up this lovely place disguised as a road side restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

I sat at the bar with 3 other people in our party. One ordered a peach Bellini which here evidently is a split of champagne and a shot of peach schnapps… incredibly bad. We then asked for 2 dozen oysters, which, while out of season are available all over Houston. On the bill we found the oysters are $ 19.00 a dozen. This is outrageous, especially since we were charged for 4 half dozens which are more costly, even though they were served 12 at a time. I suppose we shouldn’t have eaten off 4 separate plates Management simply shrugged and said it is what it is. I have been going there for years and it has been steadily deteriorating to the point this is definitely my last trip to this particular Landry’s ever again.

They are nice if you know what to order. I like the fish they cook in lemon butter sauce — Tilapia specially. I have not tried everything here, but I like restaurants that have more spread of Grilled and seared items than fried ones. I did take their membership — bought it for 25 $, immediately got 25 $ off on next dining and my birthday was next month so another 25 $. Happy to be in profit :) Kudos to the staff too at this location — they are very nice. Katy overall seems to have nice staffs in their restaurants.

The bartender Gabi was sweet and personable but stretched a little thin. Good communication through the staff as the servers and managers helped her a great deal and service appeared to be executed quickly and efficiently. Food left something to be desired for the price but to be fair my boyfriend and I got broiled/grilled entrees and all the positive reviews I’ve seen have been for deep fried dishes. Fried calamari was overly battered but not chewy(yay). Marinara was bland but the aioli was flavorful. Blackened tilapia was good. Fish tasted fresh. Broiled seafood platter was good up until the stuffed crab(all stuffing no crab). We didn’t order any cocktails but there are a lot of unusual options. Happy hour is 8 hours a day every day for appetizers, beer, wine, and a few select drinks.
