Pretty dang good and tasty. I will admit for fast food sushi it’s pretty decent. I have been looking for such a place as sushi is the new thing to eat quite frequently. It’s hip. Anyways if you haven’t been here or inside it’s similar to other places as the food is in a cooler and they add veggies to your V-bowls(vermicelli) or other dishes that need veggies and or broth. You pick what kind of meat and whatever type of combination you like. These are made fresh elsewhere and brought to the store front. They do not make the sushi there. However they get shipments when the store opens and then again at 2pm. So if you are wanting like as close to fresh as possible pick one of those two times. At the end of the day they aren’t that great. All of it is made fresh though, so don’t get discouraged. I was quite surprised when I actually dived into mine at home. You can also choose your rolls by one or two pieces at a time to make your own combo. They are individually wrapped. I like this concept for the sole basis of sushi on the go. If you or I want FRESHEST from the sushi chef sushi, then know you/I should be at a sit down Japanese sushi restaurant. I love sushi and love different combos and having the fix at my fingertips. I do love this idea and finally something for on the go. I highly recommend it if you want something quick and don’t have time to wait at a sit down dine in. Depends on who is working due to past Unilocalers I suppose. One employee knows the stuff and the other one may not. So maybe they should educate all their staff about their product, besides liking what they eat. Knowledge is power in a sushi business for sure. But definitely try this out, since it is new in the Katy area!

We went here and had the vbowl which is a Vietnamese noodle salad. Very light and flavorful. I also liked the meat they used was very lean and yet still very tender. Will be back!

We were looking forward to sushi. However we had to leave empty handed because no employee was able to tell us any ingredients in the food. My son has a severe dairy and nut allergy and sushi is usually a great option for him to eat. The food was packaged with nutritional information so we were very surprised that there was no ingredient list nor did the staff know what was in the food.

Great concept in theory but when the ingredients are not printed on the packaging and no one in the restaurant can tell you the ingredients(um really??) folks with allergies simply can’t dine here.

I have always wanted a healthy drive thru in Katy and now there is one right in front of my neighborhhod at West Memorial. I highly suggest the Summer Rolls w/Strawberry and Mango. The Sweet Chili Sauce is delish! I still want to try the Thai Chicken Curry because I haven’t yet but I have had the Salmon Bento Box and give my two thumbs up and a high five!

My wife and I went to a regular«sit down and order» style sushi restaurant in Cypress that was .ummm…ok but the bill was close to $ 50 including ONE tinsy-winsy bottle of sake. Sakes! I’ve seeeen sushi in HEB and some local Quicky marts but how long has it been there, and do Indian people make sushi or is it outsourced? Sakes! I went to Express Rolls and there is someone standing next to the sushi cooler telling you Exactly when the sushi was made, or more accurately, when«Today» was the sushi made. I like the idea of picking my sushi right out of the cool rather than staring at a menu and trying to figure out what the hell is «Shaggy Dog»? «.that’s crab meat.» chimes in the lady standing next to the cooler. «Ah. Me like crab.» So, two pieces of shaggy dog is $ 2 while it’s $ 8 for six pieces at the sushi restaurant. You do the math. Also, maybe you don’t want that much shaggy dog, hmmm? A little of this and a little of that. Can’t do that at the fancy sushi restaurant. I have GOT to kick this«Burger & Fries for lunch» habit and this place works for me. No, No, don’t send me to some stupid salad place either. Is it me or is anyone else burnt out on roughage for lunch. I end up ordering the big, Big, BIGSALADBOWL!. with gallons of salad dressing.

I was skeptical since it was pre-packaged but was blown away by how it tasted. I walked in and saw that they just got a fresh delivery of prepared boxes and sushi rolls. There were so many to choose from. As I was looking through the options I tried a sample of their spring roll sized sushi with both the peanut butter sauce and the sweet chili sauce. Get the chili sauce if you’re going to get a summer roll box(these are their spring roll sized rolls). It goes perfectly with it. Since it was buy one, get one free(which ends today), I got the raw summer roll box and a smokey sushi box. While I enjoyed them both and the raw summer roll box was plenty enough to fill me up, I loved the smokey sushi box. The salmon and tuna on the sushi tasted great and fresh for something that’s already packaged and the roll included didn’t have an overload of philly cheese on it. The avocado miso soup was creamy and better than miso soups I’ve had at actual dine-in sushi restaurants. Definitely a healthy option for lunch/dinner/whatever compared to the junk food options in the area. The staff inside were great and and friendly.

I expected not to like this place upon walking in. Pre made sushi(I dislike cold sushi rice) in a cooler made by what appeared to be high schoolers. I purchased anyway because I was hungry and didn’t want to have to go somewhere else. I expected HEB quality sushi. I was wrong in my expectations. The fish was fresh and fatty and delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection and didn’t stick together like most grab and go sushi rice does. The wasabi that they serve in packets has a really nice kick to it and mixes well in the soy sauce. They offer regular and low sodium soy sauce. I HIGHLY recommend this place, don’t be a sushi snob like I almost was, and give this place a try… I will definitely go back. The employees were super nice to boot.
