Best Western Plus Katy Inn & Suites

For business purposes I typically stay at this hotel three nights each week. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the owner and staff make exceptional service a priority.
They often offer Wednesday night dinner, they have a huge breakfast spread, and their exercise facility is clean and allows you to work out on site.
They strive to treat their guest like family and offer goodie bags for their rewards members upon check in.

We always have a hard time finding a clean, and friendly hotel. This was not the case here. The room was spacious for my family, staff was extremely nice and the hotel and room was very clean. Comfort is always another one of those interpretive statements, however, the room was very comfortable. Even the lounge chair in the room is where I slept. Due to an unforeseen gestational feast at the extremely delicious Los Cucos that night sent me reeling with indigestion. It was so yummy, and I ate very late. This was a great stay for the price, being close to shopping, eating, and convenience. No indoor pool for the kids and some minor convenience selection preferences are the only detractors from a solid 5 star experience. Of course there is a WalMart just across the road.

We went to Katy for a «family reunion». He had a great time. But of course he would, it is his family… His sister put us up in the room for the night as a birthday gift. The room was very spacious (3^rd floor suite). There is a walmart and a liquor store right across the street for those who need to get a bite and a drink. Our room had a full service kitchen, and a coffee pot, but maintenance needs to get in there. For the price of the room, they can spend time doing the little things like making sure the cupboard doors were not loose and shaky. The bathroom was clean enough, but the carpet needs a shampooing. The wifi is spotty at best, and worked best in the lobby, and even then it was hard to get it to connect.

Nice modern rooms — probably good for the business class traveler (and a far cry from the Best Western motels i grew up seeing on family road trips). Probably could use a few more outlets for the gadget-​charging guest. I had a room that was at the end of the hall on the top floor, and the wi-​fi still held.
Breakfast area is well stocked, and has waffle-​makers (Texas-​shaped waffles of course). When not in use for breakfast, the dining area has a news channel blaring across it, probably to entertain the front desk staff, though it’s a bit too loud.
Business center was adequate for printing — not sure how clean their computers are.
They do have a few meeting rooms, one of which got turned into a church/​worship center on Sunday morning for a local group.
Handy aspects: right next to the interstate without the noise. decent parking. quite a few options for food nearby. and of course, all the shopping you could shake a stick at.

Relatively recently built/​updated hotel. Decent rooms. Hotel staff moderately helpful. Upon settleing into my room I found a half-​eaten tub of ice-​cream in the fridge, soap wrappers in the bathroom, and a long hair hanging off a towel on the rack — told the front desk they may want let housekeeping know to be more detail oriented — the front desk couldn’t have cared less.
