One of the best meals we paid for while in Kauai. The black beans were delicious, the papaya was ripe, and the horchata was off the hizzle. My eggs were cooked over medium and to perfection, which is hard to do for me since I don’t really like eggs. The boy had a veggie breakfast burrito that he devoured in a matter of minutes. The girl at the counter was a little slow, but it almost added to the charm of the place. Great success!

We ordered a variety of things, some were ok, some were good, nothing was great. The rice and refried beans were a cut above. Unfortunately the ahi was a waste of meat in the burritio. It was ok in the taco with the papaya salsa though certainly overcooked. The el pastor tacos were the best thing we had, but not amazing. The horchata was delightful.

This place is awesome! They usually have live music and is a fun place that a lot of the locals go to. The clientele seem to be a very cosmopolitan and diverse crowd. I was accompanied to dinner by two handsome guys from Chile and Guatamala. They have seating outdoors. There’s something about eating outside in the warm Hawaiian air that was so amazing. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and a horchata which is a Mexican milky drink with sugar and cinnamon. The food was really good. Prices are pretty reasonable too. The fun thing about being on an island is that you run into the same people over and over again. I saw one of the guys that was at the bonfire we had on the beach the night before.
