Had the Al Pastor tacos and they were pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but a good lunch.

Good food, great value. 3 stars for taste/flavor, but bumped up to 4 stars because ingredients are clearly fresh and high quality, and portions are generous for how inexpensive they are(relative to expensive Hawaii, of course).

So delicious. We had the fresh fish taco platter. Delicious! Even went back for 2nds. Highly recommend. So nice sitting outside right by the water. There are other trucks here too, so you have options.

Waited over 30 minutes after our order was placed for food truck tacos. Tacos are slightly above average, but there’s no excuse for that kind of wait. No updates or apologies during our wait, either.

I wish I had taken a picture to post but before I ate too quick! The fish taco was so fresh and delicious. By far the best I have had. Thank you so much! I will be back.

Awesome ahi fish tacos! The hot sauce is on point if you love spicy like I do. By far the best fish tacos I’ve had in Kauai. The flavor is unique and the tortilla is fresh. It came with bean, rice and a small serving of guacamole. The rice was can use some salt, but not a big deal because the beans were full of flavor. The guacamole was also really delicious but only a small amount. Must try!

Best al pastor tacos in all of Hawaii! I know my tacos and these had the flavor you get from a Backstreet taco truck in TJ. Went twice in one day it was so good.

I consider myself an Al Pastor-aholic and holy cow! This is hands down the best Al Pastor taco I’ve had in the US! This in fact rivals the street vendors of Puerto Vallarta. A must go.

Really enjoyed this food truck while in Kapaa! My boyfriend said this was the best Mexican we had in Kauai. It’s fitting that he is from Puebla and the owners are also from Puebla! I shared the Mahi Mahi taco plate with my friend and I wish I didn’t share so I could have had it all to myself. Love it! Very nice service and nice people. Thank you :)

First of all guys… you cannot come to Kappa in Kauai and not have tacos on the beach! It’s all about the ambiance and feeling you get when you can just pick up your lunch and take a few steps to the ocean. I always look forward to it! I got the fresh ahi tacos today and it was excellent. I had mine cooked medium rare. The meal comes with 2 tacos, beans, rice, and guacamole all for just 11 dollars. Everything was great. However I would just order extra guacamole on the side as I love avocado! The woman who took my order was very friendly. I later learned that the owner buys fish direct from local fishermen. The fish I ate was just caught a few hours ago. It doesn’t get any fresher guys! Enjoy! ^-^

Best Fish Tacos on kauai Fresh local caught fish. Spicy chipotle sauce, fish cooked to your liking, and they recommend medium rare for ahi tacos which is the only way to order. Hefty portions of fresh fish with two corn tortillas which help to hold the delightful bounty. Call ahead, as there is always a line. Picnic tables or quick walk to beach park! Or pick up and go if you are driving through kapaa!

I was waiting for this spot to open before I flew back home and for my surprise it was open a day before take off and I was so IMPRESSED. I went for the«AHI taco» which was the fresh catch of the day. Seriously the best taco spot. My boyfriend ended up getting tacos«al pastor» which were very good and non greasy. This place is a MUST try when visiting Kauai.

Situated right off the beach this gem is a must stop for lunch. Grab the steak tacos. You won’t be disappointed. AHI fish also very good. Walk 300 feet to the ocean and enjoy your meal under the shady tree and enjoy the ocean view for under $ 20!

Best taco truck in Kaua’i! I had their Pastor pork tacos which are fantastic. I think it’s the best Mexican food on the island! Friendly service, but they forgot that I ordered a beverage as well. Very casual, limited outdoor seating or take it with you to the beach and enjoy the waves! If you park across the street facing south, it’s difficult to cross the busy two lane street to the truck. Be careful!

The al pastor tacos here are the most delicious tacos I have ever had in my life. Juicy, tender, AMAZING portions. My husband and I spend a few weeks each year in Kauai and we always stop here for tacos at least twice on our visits but one year it was four times. I have traveled and eaten tacos in many cities in the world, I spent my first 50 years in Los Angeles surrounded by the best Mexican restaurants in the country, and I’m Mexican. EATHERE!

This was my husband’s favourite meal on our two week stay on Kauai. We travelled be whole island and ate a lot of different places(a lot of tacos too). This was our favourite. In fact, he had only taken a bite of his first set of tacos before getting up to order more. I’m never a huge fan of the wild chickens around me while I’m eating, but any food truck on Kauai has this issue. Eat here! You can walk to the beach or enjoy it right there. The owners seemed really awesome and totally laughed when they saw my husband going up for more.

Great food truck for on the way to the beach. It is in a little area with 5 other food trucks(good luck catching that crêpe truck open). So there are a few wooden benches with umbrellas if you decide to stay and eat there. But I would suggest taking it to go and enjoy your tacos on the beach. I had the Al Pastor, which is 2 roasted pork tacos with an avocado sauce and a side of rice and beans. The sauce was delicious!(and I am not a fan of avocados) The meat was seasoned good and cooked just how I like it(but I like my meat well done). My husband had the fish tacos, and at this point in the vacation I think he had just about had enough tacos so he wasn’t too impressed with the place.

Mexican food truck known for its fish tacos. As vegetarians, we had to chose between tostado or taco. We ended up going with tostado and were not disappointed. A layer of pinto beans on top of tostado tortilla lettuce, vegetables, cheese served with guacamole and lime. Great choice for a quick bite or snack

Y’all, I live in Austin, where we have amazing tacos, so I’m always hesitant to venture out for tacos when I’m on vacation. I’m a recent convert to al pastor, thanks to the al pastor burrito at Verde(my favorite restaurant on Kauai!). Given my new found interest in al pastor, and all of the great Unilocal reviews for this truck, I decided to give it a try. Oh man, the al pastor tacos were delicious. The rice was really good and the beans were good. I was impressed! The food was on par with our excellent Austin restaurants. The girl who took my order was very sweet and she brought my food out to me in only a few minutes. I’ll definitely be back! Once again, thanks to Unilocal for helping me find this place!
