There was no sign on the place but it said open We walked in and it had nice vaulted ceilings and the doors and windows open The BF had an aloha burger that he said was great I had the panco crusted beer battered fish. It was great. Light breaking with a crisp to it. Fries were ok Service was fast and friendly.

Brought the family for Mother’s Day Brunch. I remember how it used to look back in the day. Pleasantly surprised that it’s been renovated but saddened that the fish pond is not working yet sits at the opening as an eyesore. Small buffet and they need to work on positioning of the stations omelet station was between the hot line and the make shift stage. So as people stood in line it crossed and blocked the hot food line. Menu was salads, veggies, fruits, sushi, poke(fresh and frozen fish mixed together), namasu, kim chee, shell on shrimp cocktail(usually shelled), rice, bacon & cheese potatoes, pancakes, bacon, roast duck, char siu, fish and an assortment of desserts. Food on the whole was good. Our server on the other hand… he looked tired, kept grabbing plates before we were ready for them, it was hard getting water let alone a soda or champagne. It just seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Coming from the food service industry, I realize that sometimes your station might be huge, you didn’t get enough rest. but you should at least be pleasant. Wished we sat in the next station, that server was GREAT!

I was so afraid to eat here. The décor is a throwback to the 70s … and the servers were barely awake. But the chef! Holy cow, the attention to detail they put into EVERY side dish and main course was impressive. Fish and chips comes with sweet potato fries and were the best I’ve ever had. The crab stuffed ahi, crazy! Even the steamed veggies were steamed to perfection, not too soggy nor too raw. Oh yeah, even the taro bread was warmed for us! Somebody forgot to tell the guys in the kitchen that they’re working in a run down joint with overly tired waiters for servers. Skip dessert, that’s just not their thing.

Pleasant place for a breakfast. Sleeping Giant omelette was very tasty. Sat at the bar and our server/bartender was very nice. Would go back.

Good for breakfast. One waitress for whole restaurant. Have to slow down to Kauai time. Relax.

Excellent! We weren’t expecting much because most of the places we ate were pretty terrible, but this was absolutely heaven!

I’m surprised this restaurant does not have a review! I had breakfast with my parents a few days ago for a day trip to the Garden Isle. My mom was awesome enough to look up probable restaurants via tourist pamphlets at airport baggage claim. I believe that the restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, but they were listed as having a wonderful breakfast. In addition, it’s along the beach? What more to choose? So here’s my take-aways: — We went in on a Saturday morning, around 7:30am. It was fairly empty, with one or two groups having breakfast — nice and quiet! — There are tables inside and outside of the restaurant. Even so, the restaurant is decorated with a lot of greenery — definitely a tropical setting! — Our waiter was amazingly nice and checked up on us every once in awhile, filling up our water and coffee. — Their breakfast specials are very omelette — heavy! If you’re not feeling eggs, there are also the standard breakfast items(pancakes, waffles, etc.) — I ended up ordering their specialty — Mild Kim Chee omelette with whole wheat toast. I LOVEDIT. I’m not a big fan of Kim Chee, but I really did want to see what the hype was about. I’m glad I ordered! It’s a shame that I didn’t finish — big portion meal! :) — Prices are fairly decent. It’s a touch more than your regular breakfast hot-spots, but it’s worth it! If you’re in the area and would love a great meal in a cozy environment, check it out!
