Beautiful spot. We were seated at a table very close to the beach and besides having a delicious meal, were able to watch the whales jumping for a full 30 minutes. Great date spot!

Came here for dinner with my family. We got calamari as a starter to share and it was probably the best calamari we’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. For the entrée my parents both got the seared catch(tuna) cooked medium rare as per chef’s choice and both were amazed that it was so good. They couldn’t stop talking about it. I got the burger and it was also probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The flavor was so amazing and different from any other burger I’ve ever had, but different in the best way possible. I’ll probably want it again before this vacation is over. The fries that come with it were fantastic; nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s clear they care a lot about keeping all their food local and it shows in the taste. Delicious! Tip: keep in mind that the half sizes are definitely not fillers. If you’re hungry you’re going to want the full size.

This place would’ve gotten 5 stars if the service had been better. We had reservations, and when we arrived we were taken to a table for 6(we had 4). We asked if we could sit one table away, closer to the ocean, at a 4 top(it was sitting there empty) and we were told no because it’s a different section for the servers. I understand that, but it was only 1 table away! Surely the server could have taken the 4 top until we were done? Beyond that, our server was very nice but a little scattered. We waited a long time for our apps and she seemed confused when our entrees hadn’t been served yet. I had the curry, and it was great! I also really enjoyed the calamari(our friends did not). Our friends got the beets for apps, and they were not impressed with the presentation on the plate nor did they see«5 ways» as stated in the menu. Everyone really liked their main courses. We were too full for dessert! This place has a gorgeous ocean front view and the food is good. They just have a few kinks to work out in terms of service!

Great view, on the ocean. Located in a timeshare place right across Safeway in Kapaa. The pork wonton apps were AMAZING. We also got the«beets five ways» salad which was a little weird, but good. Drinks were wonderful. Service was fantastic, and ambiance was relaxed and fun. We came here for happy hour and apps. A little towards the fine dining, and less towards family/casual dining. Price point for a meal is $ 25-$ 40 per person.

Just went to the oasis bar for happy hour and to try the Mai Tai. My bad for not asking what was covered during happy hour. That being said, the drink was the worst that I have had, regardless of the $ 12 price tag. Great view, so so server. Will not return!

This is the only touristy restaurant I went to on Kauai and I’m so glad I didn’t go to more of them. I had a table overlooking the ocean, but all of the food was so awful. I don’t exactly remembered what I ordered, but I remembered it being overpriced and I being underwhelmed.

What makes Oasis different from many restaurants is their commitment to using Locsl Kauai ingredients. Their signature drinks have long been favorites. Their Mai Tai is among my top two favorites on the island. Their food is portioned on the smaller side, which is fine because it means I get to sample more dishes. I like the vibrant flavors and the creative use of local produce. On one Wednesday afternoon, at the local Kapaa farmers market, I saw some guys from the kitchen staff, hand selecting produce from various stands. So when you sit down to enjoy local fare, you’ll know that the attention given your meal started before it was cooked. It started when the chef sourced the produce and built the menu around it. THATS why Oasis earned a 5 star review from me.

Pro tip: if you come here but aren’t staying at the hotel, you can book any spa service to get complimentary access to their great pool. I had a manhattan with mango which was a nice twist and the fish tacos were solid. Friendly staff, nice ocean view and breeze.

This place was annoying. only worth it if you are staying at the resort. otherwise steer clear. We went in and they asked if we had reservations. We said no and they could only offer bar seating even though the seating was only 30% full. like awkwardly empty. We sat at the bar and ordered beers, a cocktail, and some crudo. the drinks were decent, but the raw seafood came out on a warm plate which is a pretty bad sign. After that we waited longer than i can remember to attempt to order more food, where we saw our order for food and drinks slowly pass our order from one one to another to a third and eventually what felt like an hour later we cancelled our order. they proceeded to give us the drink we ordered for free, in a plastic cup so we could leave without being empty handed, which is the only reason they get 2stars instead of 1.

We had a party of 5. Three of us ordered the«fresh catch»(supposedly ahi) seared/very rare. It was tough as could be, and white on the inside. We told the server it seemed to be frozen or not ahi. They took it off the bill, but the manager came by and insisted it was not frozen. Well, I’m not an expert but I have had a lot of ahi, and I’ve never had fresh ahi that is cold, tough and white on the inside. Regardless, the drinks were good, the server was pleasant and prompt. We had all teased my daughter for ordering a cheese quesadilla in Hawaii in the first place, but her meal ended up being the best of all. Although right below our condo, we didn’t return. The Bull Shed next door was a much better dining experience.

I think people would think twice about eating here if they saw what goes on in the kitchen. We were on the third floor so we had the perfect view of the kitchen(which is a separate little shack apart from the restaurant itself). My family had a blast watching what was going on from afar. .Guy grabbing the food was helping himself to some fries off the plate he was about to serve to some unsuspecting tourists(he did this numerous times) .food sat out awhile before being served so a lot of plates were being returned probably because everything was ice cold(at least the worker got some piping hot fries though), some Caucasian lady whom we assumed was the manager kept going back and forth yelling at the cook and the fry thief. …food on plates were just thrown into the dirty cart to be served and covered with dirty covers that were not clean and just reused(yes we could see the scum from atop. lol) . after licking his fingers he touched the clean plates… Believe me, it was quite the entertainment and passed the time as we were waiting to go to the airport. Did we order food from there? Yes, twice! Before we knew about this mess. Food took along time, it was cold and now that I think about it some fries were missing! Funny thing is you could see the big Green PASS sign from the board of health stuck to their dirty windows.

After having difficulty deciding which restaurant to choose for a friend’s bday dinner, we are so incredibly glad we chose Oasis on the Beach. We even came last minute w/no reservations and they seated us quickly. Considering that portions are a little larger on this island, we shared three plates among three ppl: the calamari, grass fed beef burger, and the grilled catch. They. Were. So. Freakin. Delicious! I kid you not. Our server Henry was knowledgeable and presented the food in a delectable, mouthwatering manner. Man that guy has flavor. He could have said some BS but whatever he said, he got my head to nod… like vigorously. Yes, I was that guy. Actually, WE were THAT group. I’d talk extensively about each of the plates we ordered but that would put the other plates down. Seriously. You can’t go wrong. Everything was so good, we came back the next day to order our own grass fed beef burger. Although it is by far the best burger I’ve had, having morsels of it from shared plate tastes much better. Small bites are just more satiating. We came a second night to watch an up-and-coming artist. His last name is Nakamura who is an apprentice of Jake Shimabukuro. Wow, Nakamura sure knows how to jam. It was the perfect atmosphere to listen to him play major hits on the ukelele. The wind, the ocean, the uke, great food and service. Thank you for such a memorable experience Oasis.

We went to this place because of the great reviews. Well he had a great disappointment on the fix dinner they had for thanksgiving. It fell like we were eating left overs from the day before. At $ 75/person we were expecting a much better meal. We live in expensive San Francisco and we can eat much better for less. I wish I could rewind and never have gone there. The service was rushed and not good at all either. After tip and all we throw away $ 200+ in a mediocre dinner. Thanks for such horrible experience. One time and never again.

This was one of my favorite dinners while my husband and I honeymooned in Kauai. We had the best seat in the house! Such a beautiful ocean view. Their service is excellent(we arrived 20 min early and they sat us right away). Food is wonderful. Hubby had the Rib eye with spinach and mash= no complaints I had the Soy braised boneless short rib and fried rice(full service)= no complaints Dessert: Dark chocolate, Kauai coffee and Kahlua terrine with almond biscuit= delicious(Hubby thought it was a bit rich, but he is not much of a chocolate person) Thank you for a great dinner! Hope to be back soon!

This place was really good all around; great food, great atmosphere, and great service. When my wife and I travel to more tropic location we tend to eat mostly seafood. As far as the main entrée’s go there were only two seafood options. So that being said we decided to treat this more like tapas since they offer half portions. Starters Sweet potato chips witch poblano cheese sauce. These really good, pretty straight forward, any fried potato with cheesy pepper sauce you can’t go wrong. Fresh catch bruschetta– this was also very good, light delicate fresh fish on a crustini with a citrus sauce. Entrée We ordered both the seared fresh catch and the grilled fresh catch. One had a sweet potato purée and the other a pumpkin purée. Both were very good, you can’t go wrong. We also ordered the bacon truffled fried rice which was excellent. Dessert Cookies and crème gelato– excellent Kalua terrine with almond absinthe biscotti– terrine was rich and creamy and served with a little whip crème to cut the richness. Then the almond and mint biscotti complimented the rich chocolate.

You can’t beat the outdoor setting of this restaurant! Ocean break is literally a stone throw away. The food is fresh and comes with a great presentation. The place is good for all sort of occasions, from romantic diner to a family gathering after a long day on the beach. Keep an eye on their happy hour, it’s short but sweet:). I liked their catch of the day. A half of the portion with an appetizer makes it a perfect combo. Overall it’s a great place to have a brunch or diner with your loved one or/and friends and family.

My expectations with oasis were far exceeded! We were enticed by happy hour and decided to dine here as well. Everything we ordered was top notch!!! I am a big fan of the restaurant which uses atleast 90% of their product raised or grown on Kauai land and sustainable. Our server Alicia was superb and very knowledgeable and timely with our orders. A perfect example of how a server should be! :) The food was amazing. Half portions are good if you are not that hungry and sharing with others, if you are hungry definitely get the full order as you may be disappointed with the amount you get in a ½. Nonetheless you are paying for quality sustainable food raised off this beautiful land. Great happy hour great service, a view you can’t beat with affordable prices, well worth it !

My husband I were desperate for an air conditioned restaurant after sightseeing. This place didn’t have ac but it’s a great spot! In fact I don’t think any restaurants in Kauai have ac. It’s a small place on the beach with a great view and an ocean breeze. It was also a great spot to take our kids. They had clean functional highchairs and an excellent kids menu. I had a pastrami sandwich with kimchi that was great! My husband had ahi fish tacos. They were on the dry side. My kids had the steak and mashed potatoes. We had the bikini blonde beer on tap which was very refreshing. Entire staff was friendly. Jenny was our server. She was attentive and pleasant. Our food came out super quick which is always a miracle it seems when dining with kids. The music was pleasant and not too loud.

We came here for the first time yesterday for their happy hour which is 4−6pm. The place was empty and the manager/male host seated us inside, when there were 5 open tables on the patio. When we asked to be moved outside he said they were completely booked with reservations that night. We stayed and had several cocktails over 1.5−2 hours and the tables never filled up! I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for awhile and when you don’t have a reservation for a few hours, it’s common sense that you give the customer what they want then provide fast, efficient service to flip the table in time for your guests. The service was OK, and the happy hour cocktail specials was 50% off with no appetizer specials. We came back later in the evening because the other restaurants we wanted to go to were full. The same manager/male host was at the front and asked us again if we had reservations(the restaurant still wasn’t full). Every couple/family that walked through the door was asked if they had a reservation because«they were a full house.» We didn’t see the restaurant at full capacity the entire 4 hours we were there. They would make a lot more money if they weren’t sticklers on reservations. Plenty of people wanted to dine here out on the ocean patio but were denied because of reservations from people who never showed up. The food was good, not great. They have a $ 7 side of bacon fried rice which was ½ cup portion which is OUTRAGEOUS. There’s plenty of other amazing, local dining options in the area that I’ll be sticking to, but the view here is certainly fantastic.

At their price point the food should have tasted better. The service and ambiance was great but the chef seems to be more focused on presentation instead of flavor. Below is the breakdown: Grilled kale, whipped brie, brioche croûton, pickled shallots, roasted shallot vinaigrette– the lowest point of the night– was not good at all(over seasoned) and didn’t make sense, it looked pretty but wasn’t cohesive Quinoa with sprouts, farmer’s market vegetables– super salty, this would have tasted better if the prep had less salt Seared catch, Okinawa sweet potato purée, bok choi, truffle vinaigrette– it was a uku fish and it tasted fine but again the overall dish wasn’t cohesive. The problem was that the sides didn’t change regardless of the fish which was an issue in and of itself– the purée was too sweet and the overall dish didn’t make sense together. The Mai Tai was ok. I wouldn’t come back again and wouldn’t recommend this place
