If you like wings and Game Day Chicken Wings isn’t open or the average fair at The Peanut isn’t enough to satisfy the need for crunchy, crispy, and delicious wings then Wings Café has your back. The many different dry rubs and wet sauces make the wings delectable for any variety of tastes. The number of sauces are fewer then a Buffalo Wild Wings, but quality is better, the wings are larger, and the food is served fresher. The staff is friendly and accommodating when ordering odd combinations of wings. Dining-in isn’t advisable, the seating is just black padded chairs, a couple of small TVs for watching a game, but otherwise bland. If you are eating out to watch a sports game, go somewhere else. Wings Café is better oriented towards delivery/carry-out. For a Sunday game day at the house, the food is prepared quickly and is normally packaged cleanly. Invite your friends, place the order, pick it up, and buy a few six packs to start out the afternoon. The pricing of the wings are relatively expensive, not really competitive with BWW or The Peanut. The sides are a negative as most are pretty bland. The sweet tea could be better. Macaroni and Cheese isn’t too different from a Churches Chicken. I’d much prefer Chicken Macaroni & Cheese with their flavorful sides and decent prices. Unilocal tends to over-hype the wings and forget about everything else. Don’t expect much out of the sides, just get the wings from here if possible unless you like the kickin’ corn nuggets. Locale and ambience: 2 Friendliness: 4 Food: 4 Price: 3 Overall: 4

Good wings, prepared well and sauces make every bit of difference. Ordered carry out. Did not get the whole order right, only minor differences. All the wings were right at least.

Hands down the best wing place in Kc. In fact one of the only in the area. Been here three times now. 18 wings and two sides for $ 23. Worth it! Giving it a 5 because theirs nothing to relate to. Wings and sauce selection are the BOMB!

This is my favorite place to eat. Our office is extremely close to the location and we go there all of the time for lunch. The owners are very pleasant and it is nice to see a hard working locally owned business doing so well!

Excellent wings and sides. 4+ wings can be separate flavors… e.g. 12 wings can be split into three flavors. They take care to keep the flavors separate with parchment paper. I had voodoo wet… Very spicy and sweet. And dry SlapYoMama, with little heat but tons of flavor. Fried okra was excellent… The okra tasted fresh and wash not turned to mush.

The best wings and chicken in Kansas City! Great selection of sauces and rubs. Very friendly staff. I usually order the chicken tenders in a spicy buffalo sauce. The chicken is always juicy and flavorful.

Help me. I’m in a chicken wing coma. Without a doubt, these are the best wings in Kansas City. I’m in awe. This was my first visit to Wings Café and I’m very upset at it being my FIRST time. So clearly, I have some catching up to do! I thought I’d start with 24 wings. It seemed like a good number and there was also a special deal including two large sides. That sounded cool and I said I’d have some wings left foot the next day. Um, not so much. Those wings did not stand a chance! The SLAPYOMOMMA wings are even better than advertised. They were so good, I had impure thoughts. The flavor of the breading was amazing! The wings are also incredibly tender and overall just freaking delish! In addition to slapping my momma, I also had the Garlic Ranch, Golden BBQ and Sweet Thai. The wet wings are also phenomenal because you can actually TASTETHEMEAT! I don’t care for wings drowning in sauce. With Wings Café, not only will their seasonings put you over the edge, the meat itself is tender, juicy and succulent. I had the slaw and baked beans for the sides. The slaw was great and the beans were fantastic! Even as good as the wings are, I really wasn’t expecting much with the sides. Clearly, I was wrong. I world guess both sides were made in house because they were done right. So Unilocalers, so reading this and get to Wings Café toot sweet! I would leave mother at home, though.

I’d like to give it 4.5 but unable to do so. Had the hot buffalo wings and the slap yo mama wings. Buffalo were awesome-spicy, slap were good but maybe a bit on salty side. French fries were great with a house seasoning. Order plain chicken tenders which were juicy and tasted great but a little on the stringy side. The young lady at the counter was awesome as well, great service. Definitely a must try!

Easily the best wings in town! They have many options for sauces, both wet and dry flavors. There was lengthy conversation with the cashier regarding the different flavors as I waited to see if they had a shirt available(if you buy a tshirt for $ 12.99, you get 6 wings with it). This appeared to create some confusion as I didn’t get the correct wings. Outside of this, the service was amazing! Extremely friendly, but not in that annoying trying to hard way, very sincere. I tried the firecracker and the durango. My original order was for the firecracker and shanghai bourbon. I did not even know I received the wrong thing until I was eating and one of the employees stopped to check on me. She promptly got me some of the sauce so I could taste the shanghai. All three were amazing! The firecracker has a hint of sweet with mild heat, the durango had a bit more heat but also a sweet hint, the shanghai sauce was sweet without much heat. The wings are meaty which is a plus over most wing places. As I enjoyed the wings I told one of the employees that they need a south KC location. I was pretty happy to learn that they have a location opening in Westport this fall.(They would still be a great addition to Troost as their next location!) Forget all other wing places. This is the best in KC! I can’t wait to try the fish and other wing options!

as much as I tried to eat healthy, I always give myself a cheat day to just maintain my mental health. Upon checking Unilocal,I discovered this pleasant wings joint that, to my delight, is worth multiple visits in the future, indefinitely. My girlfriend and I decided to go with sriracha and chinese bourbon flavors, along with jalepeno poppers and some fried okra, because we need to have a balanced meal ok? Even if it means pursuing it down the path of darkness. The wings were freshly made and fried just the right amount of time. Not only was the exterior crispy, but the meat themselves were juicy, a sure tell sign that wings were done right. The side dishes were also freshly made, as they nearly burned me had I not been very careful about biting into them. Not sure if I am a fan of jalapenos combined with cheese, but I can see some people enjoy the concept. To my utmost surprise, this wings joint is actually very clean! Usually in joints that serve fried menu, the place would usually be filled with smell of grease. However, in this case, it is barely noticeable. Each table also got ample amount of paper towels to ensure that your ravaged hands will return to the light of cleanliness at the end of the day. Not only was the food good, but the service was exceptional as well. The staff was friendly and easily approachable, making my first visit to this place a very comfortable one. A job well-done.

This place is incredible! I installed the Unilocal app and created an account for the sole purpose of reviewing this place. First of all, the service is outstanding. The owner was working there at the time and was excited to hear we were there for our first time. He talked us through the menu and offered some suggestions. We decided on the voodoo, dynamite, slap-yo-mama, and the Buffalo. All of the wings were excellent. Throughout our time there he brought us samples of the Mac N cheese(which was delicious) and the Durango wings. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable and the place was clean. I’ve had a lot of wings and this place had the best wings I’ve ever eaten. I will stop at Wings Café everytime I’m in Kansas City!

This place is off the chain. Like The Peanut but with better sides, prices, and flavors. You must try this place. My new favorite. I will now write a poem about Wings and Mozzarella sticks. Wings and Mozzarella Sticks The Fried combo of the Gods Based Wings Café, take me to heaven.

Wings Café in Gladstone is LEGIT! As good as wangs get imo! The young lady at the counter greeted us with a smile & was very helpful explaining the menu & sauces. They offer lots of wet sauce flavors plus quite a few dry rubbed options. All their wings are lightly breaded, very crispy & good PLAIN. Everything was cooked to order. So the food took a little longer, but came out piping HOT! We ordered the sauce on the side cause my parental units don’t like buffalo wings & are just stubborn(smdh, lol). So we got the dry rubbed, Slap Yo Mama, which were flavorful & had a little kick that did in fact make me want to slap her! Then on the side we got Sweet Thai(garlicky, sweet goodness), Honey Jalapeño(tasted like the best jalapeño jelly) & Shanghai Bourbon(a very unique bourbon sauce). All 3 sauces were excellent and finger lickin, lip smackin good! All are also made in house according to the cook who I think might have been the owner. The cole slaw was very good! The fries & baked beans were decent but nothing special. Can’t wait to go back for more wangs & to try the Mac’n’cheese, sweet tater fries &APPLEDUMPLINGS! Nom nom nom…

My go-to wing location! Their wings are large and there are many sauces to choose from. I’ve tried their Shanghai bourbon, Sweet Thai, Garlic Parmesan, and Firecracker on wings. I didn’t enjoy the Shanghai bourbon too much because it was hoisin based but that’s just a personal preference. I did however love the Firecracker flavor, it was sweet and spicy! I ordered 3 of their chicken tenders and they were large and incredibly juicy on the inside. The cashier lady was friendly and service was quick.

Yum! Call us fatties, we had the Slap Yo Mama, Honey Jalepeno(wet), Garlic Parmesan, Mac & Cheese and Crinkle Cut Waffle Fries. I preferred the dry sauces over the wet for sure. Be sure to get the mac & cheese as a side… smaller portion but it’s worth it. You also get a dry rub seasoning on your fries… highly recommend this option! Not that you need more fattening seasonings but when in Rome… 8 wings + 1 side = $ 9.79 6 wings + 1 side = $ 8.17

I have been cursed!(queue tribal drums) Because I can’t stop thinking about the«Voo-Doo» wings at Wings Café! I headed to Wings Café for lunch and was hoping to get in and out quickly beings I work a few miles away. When I arrived they place was clean and the staff ready to serve me. I scanned the menu(which includes fish and chicken options, as well as dry-rubs and«wet» sauces) and selected 12 wings(6 Voo-Doo and 6 Honey BBQ) with a side of fries. I waited roughly 4 – 8 minutes and my food came out fresh and delicious! The crinkle cut fries were more than likely frozen but they were very good, but the wings are amazing! Large full wings(some drummies) slathered in sauce. The Voo-Doo was a fantastic sauce a little sweet with a lot of heat! The Honey BBQ were a good cool down in between Voo-Doo wings. I was in and out in plenty of time to get back to work. But the rest of the day I was under the spell of those Voo-Doo wings and could not stop thinking about them! I might have to search Unilocal for a witch doctor to be cured or better yet just eat at Wings Café more often!
