Country Inn and Suites

The one star is only for the kind lady that’s in charge of the breakfast. She was really nice and the food is great. But we didn’t like their service. The hotel staff doesn’t even say hi or even smile at you. They’re like ghost employees in there. Unlike other hotels we’ve stayed at where everybody is friendly. Also, my husband left his college book in the room. It costs $ 200 so we called the hotel and asked if they could look for it as we were planning to make arrangements with them on how to retrieve it. The staff said she would call back about it and we never got a call from them. Even at least to say they never found it so we know what to do next. Very rude! All it would have taken is for them to go inside the room and look in the drawer where he knew he left it at. Instead they didn’t even bother to call back. We’ll never stay there again. He goes there for business meetings twice a year and we planned on overlooking the stench in the carpet or the unfriendly staff but because of how rude they are we won’t be coming back. And will warn other office employees not to use their hotel.

Two words: Bed Bugs. Management refunded us with no hassle and moved us to another room… nice enough… but no money can make up for the anxiety it caused us. Our trip was ruined because we spent more time trying to make sure we didn’t bring home bed bugs rather than having fun. Do not stay here if you value your skin & sanity.

My daughter and I stayed here in the way back from state games of America. The hotel was nice enough but my daughter who is 11 left her wallet in the room. We realized it as soon as we left on August 2 and called. The said they had it and would mail it to us if we would pay for it. We have the credit card and calmed my daughter down. We called every week for the next month asking where it was and leaving messages that did not get returned. We finally talked to the manager Jason who said they lost my phone number and address but he would overnight it. We got it today with every dollar gone.
They kept it over a month and then stole or before stole the money.
Who knows because if they couldn’t keep my name and number which I used to book the hotel who knows where they left my daughters wallet.
It’s a shame people can be that discourteous to others.

We used an internet-​only deal to book a room here and the price was fair.
The staff was very friendly & helpful.
The breakfast was nice and considering the size of the hotel… the breakfast was definitely better than expected.
The décor of the hotel is pretty dated and should be updated. The coffee maker and shower curtain in our room were dirty (they had been cleaned but were stained/​permanently discolored) and that’s pretty nasty.
I would stay here again if I could book the internet special again… but otherwise I wouldn’t. It’s close to a LOT of things in this specific area and while the shuttle does only run until 8pm the guys who drive the shuttle offer a paid service to drive you places after 8pm.
I liked that it’s close to the Cricket Amphitheater. All in all, not bad.

By far the best hotel experience my boyfriend and I have had in Kansas City. The hotel staff was very warm and welcoming and super easy to strike up a conversation with. Our hotel room not only looked extremely clean but it also smelled like it was thoroughly taken care of. To top it all off the breakfast was way better than most of the 5 star hotels we’ve stayed at and there was so much to choose from. We have already decided that this is the hotel of choice for all of our Kansas City getaways!

We stayed here because it’s close to the casino and was the only hotel in the area that advertised having a casino shuttle. Beware, shuttle stops service at 8pm even in Saturday night. Plus, the casino has its on shuttle that runs to all area hotels until 1am. Check in was easy and pleasant enough. Walking to our room it smelled like B.O. in the hall, which we later figured out was curry… The entire hallway smelled that way. Our room did not smell, and was clean. High ceilings made the room feel larger, décor was cheap hotel décor. Checkout time is noon, so when housekeeping proceeded to vacuum the hallway at 8am Sunday morning I was surprised. The walls are thin and I heard the lady next door coughing all night long. Breakfast was decent. As I already said, room was clean, but there’s room for improvement. Knowing the casino has its own shuttle, we’ll probably stay somewhere else next time.

Needed somewhere close to the Casino to stay for NYE, even though we don’t live far didn’t want to risk drinking and driving. The website here said they had a shuttle which because of new management they do not anymore… which was told to me over the phone when I called to make the reservation. The casino had a shuttle to and from the surrounding hotels.
Let’s start there, the guy who answered the phone that night was awesome! Told me everything about the place about the shuttle to and from the casino for that evening and the rooms and amenities on the property.
Once we arrived we were greeted promptly, the hotel looked very nice and clean, the pool and hot tub area looked good as well but we didn’t get to use it, maybe next time.
Our room was spacious and clean, had a fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable an it also had a pull out bed in the living room area.
The staff here though were awesome. from the moment the reservations were made all the way out the door. I was greeted promptly, asked how everything was through out the stay (even though we stayed for a night) Breakfast was good and check out times are later than most. Will definitely recommend this place. I may even stay again if I just want to get out of the house.

My grandmother stayed here while visiting us during our wedding celebration. When I went to see her she never had a complaint about the place. She loved the staff and the breakfast that was provided. This place was very clean, and even the bathrooms for the public were very clean. I would have to say every person I talked to while I was with my grandmother was very friendly. Plus they have great rates, even during the holidays.
