Aiken’s Lodge National 9 Inn

messed up my reservation, but Krista the owner, was super friendly and they accomodated me all the way they can. I love how friendly she was and though from the outside the lodge looked old and dingy, the inside was super clean and they have laundry facilities, which is a bonus for me. I would totally recommend this lodge if you intend to visit the Wave or Zion, there are so many things to do within Kanab areas.

Well from the outside, most people might think, old, worn, or some other beware thought. Hmmm… Well the Aiken’s Family Lodge could give lessons in maintenance to many hotel owners. These people run a hotel that has been kept up and maintained so very well. The room was so clean. Yes the TV was small — Who cares — We never even turned it on — The bathroom was so clean — even the tile was perfect. An incredible job. Outside the room is an installed overhang so you can back you car in and unload and be out of the rain! Other Motels could learn from these people. We slept well. The Church across the street played its bells often. I am not bothered — Nothing interrupts my sleep — might be different for others. Anyway for an overnight stay this place was just right for us. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. I have been traveling for over 25 years and have been all over the country. The lady at the front desk is friendly and helpful. I recommend staying here if you are ever in Kanab!

Not a five star hotel but clean, quiet, and very reasonably priced.
No breakfast but fridges in the room and a trip to the local market and we did fine.
Small pool, nothing fancy, but the kids went in after long days volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and were happy as could be.
It’s a little dated but comfortable, clean, and quiet. Felt safe and could relax in rooms.
Laundry facility on site and free, relatively fast, wifi.
For the price, I would definitely choose it again. Not luxurious living but a nice place to stay.

Overall the place was nice and clean. There wasn’t a continental breakfast which was listed as one of the amenities in the AAA book. It was super close to restaurants, gas stations and the Honeys market. Escobar’s Mexican restaurant is a must try!!! It was delicious authentic mexican food. And they give very generous portions. About a quarter mile from the hotel.

For the rate we paid it was perfect! Didn’t have high expectations since its an older building! I ended up being impressed at how clean the room was. Bed was very comfortable with clean linens! Wish I could head back to the area soon. I’d definitely stay there again! Friendly owners and staff.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is perfect if you are doing day trips to the North rim of the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
The motel itself was very clean and functional. We got a two room suite, which was still very reasonably priced. It was spacious. There was a huge window looking out over Kanab and the beautiful red rocks beyond. The beds were comfortable. The owners and front office personnel were very friendly.
It is an older motel. So, even though the paint and carpets were new, there are still some things like bathroom fixtures that are older. We didn’t have a bath tub (which didn’t bother me, but you should know if you like to soak in the tub). The sink was in a separate area from the very small bathroom, which was convenient. There is no in-​room coffee maker. That is a big negative, but not a deal breaker. They did have free coffee in the lobby, but no decaf.
There was a laundry mat in the motel, which I took advantage of. The machines were clean and worked well.
There was also a small but clean pool and hot tub, which we didn’t use.
The free wifi worked very well.
The motel is right downtown within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Overall, it was a very good stay.
We’d go back if we are ever in the area again.

This place works if you just need a clean, safe bed for the night. Quarters were tight and lighting was poor – always an issue with me since my husband goes to sleep much earlier than I do, and I need a place to read. But it was clean, safe, and inexpensive. Staff was adequately friendly. I’d return.

An older refurbished Motel. Property and rooms very clean and bed comfy. Would stay there again. The only upgrade would be in-​room coffee.
