Great find. Very comfortable, clean, and authentic Americana. I recomend a top floor room so that you can take advantage of the front porch.

There is a new name for this roadside motel, it’s now«Canyons Lodge» and has a new owner(see filtered review). I recently spent one night here in room #4. This room is «cozy» sized and space at the foot of the bed is tight, same with the shower. But they manage to fit in a mini-fridge and microwave. Great amenities and service at this price level, clean & comfortable bedding Loved having the bathrobe! The welcome includes an offer of water bottle or wine, a friendly host, and generous supply of in-room coffee. I enjoyed the free breakfast items offered in lobby, boiled eggs, fruit, nice bakery items OJ, coffee, real milk. Wifi in room but it kept dropping off. It’s a little hard to find at the north end of town next to the Victorian Inn. The price for the small rooms is very reasonable.

After an unseasonably cold night of camping at the Grand Canyon, I was headed to Zion NP to camp again, and I was tired and dreading the possibility of another cold and/or sleepless night in a tent. As I was driving through the tiny, dusty, and also stunning town of Kanab, UT, I looked up nearby hotels on Unilocal and called the first one on the list. I couldn’t believe my luck! Canyons Lodge is excellent– the rooms are clean and charming, the owners are incredibly friendly(also, free wine and cheese happy hour!), and the price was unbeatable. The lodge is close to Zion NP(about 30 min drive) and Bryce NP, as well as a bunch of cool local state parks. They also have a few pet-friendly rooms, which was great for me, as I was with my dog. I closed off my stay with a continental breakfast that included very decent coffee(I’m picky about my coffee!)… I’m so glad that I accidentally came across this place! If I ever come back this way again, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

I knew we’d be well taken care of when offered a glass of wine during check-in; after a dusty day at Bryce Canyon it was delightful. The rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean, and smell good. The beds comfy with plenty of pillows and fluffy bedding.

On a recent trip this was my party’s home based for trips to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon, both of which were about 1 – 1.5 hours away. Offering clean, no frills rooms, it was perfect for us to relax and clean up after a long day of hiking. Free wifi was included, as was continental breakfast. Don’t expect anything fancy, mainly pastries, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and coffee, but it’s a good way to start the day. The rooms were clean, my only two complaints are that the bed closest to the window is practically next to the fan/air conditioning unit and the washroom and shower are on the tiny side. On the plus side, the rooms are equipped with refrigerators that allowed us to chill water bottles before our hikes. If you can survive the drive back after hiking back Bryce or Zion, this is a nice quiet place to relax before heading out on the trail again. Pros: Decent price for clean rooms. Continental breakfast, free wifi, quiet location in town. Cons: A bit far for those who don’t want to get an early start on the trail or just want to drag themselves into bed afterwards. Would I stay here again? Yes.

Of all the joints in town, I’d say this one is the best. The rooms are small but decent, décor is nice, and you can walk to anything you need(although the town is small enough that any hotel offers that perk) When I showed up, there was a sign listing rooms at a cheaper price than what I got online, so I asked, «Hey, can I get that rate instead?» «Let me see what room you are in… Yea we can do that.» Coolio. Also, the last morning, I discovered they had a little breakfast thing you could eat, nice bonus. I passed though, because before my big hikes and explorations, I’d found a coffee shop down the street I liked going to, before hitting the road. Had a favorite moment with my gf one night, as we sat on the porch in our chairs and drank wine and ate some crudités. Be warned though, no wine in town! Gotta drive across the border to a liquor store if you want it.

We can’t wait to return to Kanab & we can’t wait to return to Bob’s Inn. The innkeepers are a joy. Two social butterflies from the west coast. They are dog friendly. The rooms are very spacious, clean, come with fridge(which is imperative when on a road trip), are dog friendly(most places in Kanab do), very close to all hiking & Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, rooms don’t smell, and breakfast consist ing of coffee, juice, eggs, and pastries. Best stay on our trip across the country!

Totally decent and clean little motel in Kanab. Nothing fancy or special, but no problems either. It sits just on the north end of town and is probably a little far to be within striking distance of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, or from Zion.
