Espectacular. Comida deliciosa y trato fantástico. Rissotto de alcachofas muy bueno y pollo con pasta en su punto. Muy recomendable… Su maravilloso postre Gooey Diamon.

We happened upon this gem after a long trip through Utah. The service was exceptional!!! Candi accommodated our ever wish and had the best recommendations showing true passion and expertise. We started w the risotto via a recommendation and then followed with the trout and polenta cakes(they allowed me to add shrimp)… AMAZING!!! Then we finished with the crème brûlée another recommendation. The most enjoyable place we have been in Utah. Abra Kanabra!!!

In today’s society of Unilocal, and urban spoon know-it-all’s, I rarely take the time to review restaurants at the expense of looking like a yuppie amateur, however, the dinner and service I experienced at this establishment cannot go unspoken. I will travel back to this town just to eat here again. I am visiting Utah from my hometown of Olympia, WA for a five day road trip vacation, and ended up in Kanab unplanned. Being that the rocking v was near the hotel, it was an easy choice for dinner, but unknowingly one of the best parts of my vacation. The food was perfect, the décor was beautiful and lively with vibrant colors, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was spectacular. As a business owner myself, it is apparent to me that the owner pours his passion and soul into his business. I left there inspired, full, satisfied and fulfilled. Well done Rocking V, well done.

We were on the way back to Vegas from Antepole Canyon and stopped here for lunch. We ordered the lunch special, Adobe chicken, chicken sandwich and some drinks. The quality of the foods were over expectation. However, they offers two bills with service included and excluded. We asked for the one with service included, it’s 62.84 and the tip is 18% which is a bit higher for café. We paid a 102.84 but the changes given back was 38 but not 40. They said the coins we gave is only 0.84. There is no proof what we paid so we didn’t argue. But we don’t appreciated such kind of things especially to the tourist!

Nothing to complain about. The bread and dipping sauce they brought out was delicious. We finished it pretty quick. And then like magic they brought more out. They asked another time if we’d like more but had to decline if we were saving room for dessert. The tomato soup was delicious i had the enchilada with shrimp. Pricey but tasty. The crème brûlée could have been slightly firmer but i’m not complaining too much. I ate it all and it was yummy.

Came across this place driving through town. Awesome place for dinner with a great menu and service. If you’re ever driving through and find yourself hungry, stop in. The owner attended to us and gave us a tour of his art gallery upstairs and had some recommendations of things to do in the area Julie, our server was excellent. The pork chop was delicious and great desert selection. Highly recommended.

We stopped for lunch at the Rocking V en route to Zion. It was probably the best meal we have had on our entire trip across the Canyonlands. The restaurant has a very quaint ambience with an art gallery in the upper level. We ordered the sandwiches(black bean and hoho chicken) and tomato basil soup — all of which were exceptional. The restaurant manager was very hospitable and gave us great dining recommendations for our stay in Springdale. If you are in Kanab, please stop by this awesome restaurant!

this place was open but the food was underwhelming to say it nice. walnut encrusted chicken dish was ok. the chicken Marsalis was boring at best and scant. my wife had the tofu rice, chic pea dish that was purported to be heavy on the veges that were missing. the effort from the kitchen was obviously to save money and not deliver outstanding cusine. as well, the look of the plate was uninspiring, again little effort. this would be OK except for the price that was on the high side. with a captured audience please make a small effort to even get the pasta right. I assume not home made. avoid this joint unless that is all open, or you are there to drink, and don’t let them put you by the door that slams. sorry, we were really looking forward to a grand meal.

This place is a mix of restaurant and Art gallery. The walls have paintings and photos of local nature scenes. We started our dinner traditionally with soup. My wife had a tomato basil which was creamy and i had a split pea soup that was very dense and a little chunky, both were excellent but i preferred the tomato. For our entrée we got the deep dish enchilada which came with a ton of vegetables and a thick pork chop. The pork chop came with potatoes, it was my favorite item at the place. For dessert we could not make up our minds between the key lime pie and gooye diamond. Although the key lime is apparently award winning we thought the diamond was the best, it’s a fudge like chocolate base with berries in the middle, amazing. Top notch place in the middle of nowhere. I am very glad to have Unilocal in these situations.

My husband and I visited this little spot in Kanab when we wandered off from Zion National Park. I ordered the veggie enchilada. It tasted pretty good and definitely fit the bill for lunch. However, my one problem with it was that it was $ 14 for a relatively small dish. If you want to add meat to it, it’s another $ 4.50. So consider if you wanted a chicken enchilada for lunch, and it was $ 18.50 all by itself, before tax, with no sides. That’s a little bit pricey. I think this was just oversight on the part of the café, because everything else was reasonably priced. My husband got the black bean burger with fries and it was $ 10… perfectly reasonable. He really enjoyed his burger. Our server was great, and the staff was friendly. Not only were we served our meals, but we also got help with finding trails in the area, which was much appreciated. Thank you! :) Overall, if you’re in the area, I would recommend stopping by.

This was a great little stop for us while traveling through Utah. The food was fresh and flavorful. The ribeye steak was very tasty and the portion was very generous. The restaurant was packed, that was the first clue it was good. The service was also on point and attentive. Our server hit all steps of service. The bus staff also did a very good job. I would recommend this restaurant for sure, everything was great. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Awesome all around. Staff, ambiance, FOOD!! Derek was personable and informative server although everyone helps with plates, water etc. Good selection of microbrews. Upstairs art gallery is cool. Thus place is kinda must do if you’re going thru Kanab. To or from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce. We had the Mahi Mahi. And creole salmon. Table on neigh or tables looked so yummy too. Special dessert we had was the pumpkin tart. Go for it.

What a fascinating place! I ate upstairs in the art gallery and actually that’s less cramped than downstairs. I had a desert mojito with agave syrup, fish tacos and some kind of Utah beer. Fellow traveler I think had trout. Owner talks to you — from New York. Good service, they are jammed for dinner but don’t screw up .Food comes out at a reasonable time and is good. If you’re in the area, you want to go here.

Awesome stop for dinner between Zion NP and Grand Canyon in a quaint town. The owner is a character(fun!), staff is good(service was not flawless but they were swamped with large groups and still had a good handle on everything), food is delicious and reasonably priced, parking available, great atmosphere and beautifully decorated. And for me as a bonus plenty of vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options. What can I say more? If I lived here I’d hang out weekly — I wished I lived in this awesome area

The Big Ride 2015 consists of about 8 vacation days on the road via motorcycles. This year, our route from Canon City, Colorado took us to Utah and back burning up just over 1,600 miles in the process. This is our 5th year we three couples have meandered on various journeys to include an excursion to Cancun in 2014. One dilemma we’ve worked out is, «where do we eat tonight»? We draw numbers from 1 – 6, and on that evening, the prescribed number chooses the restaurant without fear if reprisal or reprimand. I was lucky enough to draw #3, which finds us in Kanab. Easy enough to find on the main thoroughfare, the Rocking V Café possesses a quaint setting offering local artists’ creations throughout while customers eagerly await their selections. I had called ahead as a precaution and we were greeted as old friends. Between Jessica and Brandy and others, we were not without full service. Victor, the owner of over 16 years greeted us and oversaw our needs as well. For the food, the appetizers were tasty and plentiful.. We chose two; the Three Cheese and Artichoke Risotto and the Antipasto Rustica. The menu also distinguishes Gluten Free and Vegetarian selections. Our main courses consisted of the Asian Stir Fry, 2 Rangeland Ribeyes(medium well), Thai Curry and the Almond Crusted Chicken Marsala. In other words, a variety. For desert, we shared the Gooey Diamond… Yes, its plenty for 6 after our meal. So here’s the part you need to know. I got bonus points for my selection of restaurants. The service was excellent, the dishes were better than we had hoped. My ribeye was delicious and flavorful. Victor was a gracious host and even invited us back! He also suggested a dusk ride to the ghost town ruins of the TV show Gunsmoke just 9 miles away. A wonderful experience and we hope to stop in again on a future Big Ride. I’m so happy we chose this place to end our night! The owner is a character and a really sweet guy. He spent lots of time interacting with guests, asking where they came from, and ensuring everyone had a great experience. He alone was worth the trip! Fortunately though, the food was also incredible! They have gluten free options, including one massive gluten free beer(which was really good). I got the salad, which was fresh and delicious. I wish I had tried the soup, too, because once it arrived it smell incredible. You could tell everything was made in-house from the quality and taste.

I came here for dinner on a Friday around 9:30PM, and it was still very busy. My friend and I were seated right away. All the servers and employees were friendly and helpful. I can’t pinpoint one employee because all of them helped us with our orders, refilling water, giving us recommendations, and replacing my set of utensils after mine dropped. The two of us shared a mahi mahi plate, which came with tomato basil soup, bread with balsamic sauce, rice, and asparagus. We then ordered the gooey diamond for dessert. I really enjoyed the bread with the sauce! The tomato soup was a bit too tomato-y. The mahi mahi dish was good with a mix of veggies, carbs, and protein. The dessert was enjoyable too, with a mixture of chocolate, fruits, and gooey sauce. I must admit, though, for the amount of food, it was quite expensive. The mahi mahi plate was $ 24 and the gooey diamond was about $ 10. It was very convenient to stop by on the way from Page, AZ to Bryce, UT and is one of the rare places that open til late.

When I first drove into Kanab, I was scared that the small town would force me to dine in below-average establishments. I was preparing myself for the worst, but then I was saved by Unilocal!I saw the reviews for Rocking V Café and knew I needed to drive just a little further down the street for a grand old time! They recommend making reservations here, but if you’re like me and spontaneously found this place a few minutes prior to arriving, the hostess will still try to seat you ASAP. In fact I only had to wait 5 – 10 minutes for our table. The hostess and waitresses were extremely friendly. The restaurant was filled with all tourists – people who were hiking at nearby parks earlier in the day, and this just brought a cozy feel to it, especially with the fireplace lit. I highly recommend the pork chop – it was cooked perfectly with the center still moist. It also came with mashed potatos and asparagus. The enchilada was okay. We added on chicken for additional protein – it was cooked well(not overcooked), but it was lacking in flavor. The soups were very light. The clam chowder had good flavors but I wish it was a bit creamier.

Oh, Rocking V, how you never cease to disappoint. I wish I could give more stars! We ate here two nights in a row. Staying at Flagstone Studios, it was within a convenient walking distance to us. Could resist! First night we had: Asian Stir Fry w/Braised Tofu Southwest Cornmeal Crusted Trout This was hands down the best stir fry I have ever had. I don’t care much for braised tofu in general. I feel like it’s not a great way to prepare it, because you end up with mouthfuls of tofu that don’t taste like much. I would much prefer sauteed or baked tofu that is in smaller pieces. HOWEVER, the veggies and sauces in this dish set it off! Trout was made perfectly — so flaky and flavorful. Well done! Second night we had: Tomato Pesto Couscous Cakes Pasta Bolognese(special) The couscous cakes had more of the texture of felafel, which I didn’t mind. It was actually quite nice. The sauce, again, was amazing. The pasta bolognese you could tell was made with special care. This is such an easy dish to «fake,» but it tasted like it was made with very ripe tomatoes! Pasta was al dente to perfection! Service: I have never had bad service here and this place is always packed to the gills! The servers come by at least 5 – 6 times to check on you and refill drinks. They are super super friendly as well, and you can tell they genuinely love and appreciate the food they are serving. To Victor, the owner: A special thanks to you for personally chasing down the stray dog that was disturbing us during out patio dinner. Your care for your customers’ comfort goes far beyond the normal. I told you I would write you a stellar review, so there you have it!

WOW! So zart! So gut!
