Best tacos and margaritas I’ve ever had! Great price and the salsa choices are excellent!

With so many good reviews I had hoped this was going to be great experience. Sadly it was way over priced for food that was less than authentic. The enchiladas, had canned sauce… eww The rice was clumpy and very salty with soupy refried beans. The dining room is so crammed and the seats were dirty. *Most Mexican restaurants, offer chips and salsa for free, served at every table, but not at this place. My search continues for the best Mexican food in Jacksonville.

Yummy! Try the burrito with French fries, unusual addition to a burrito but works so well.

Service was great. At 2 minutes I got fresh tortilla chips and salsa. At 5 minutes got my meal. Meal was as good. Reason it is not 5 stars is due to old fries and steak that was used. A little rough. However, the combo of the cheese, guacamole, Pico, marinaded steak was excellent. So full and would definitely be back

Awesome Mexican food, best I’ve had in Florida. Compares to Chicago food. Very friendly staff

I really wanted this place to be good. I have to tell that probably because I already tried excellent Mexican restaurants before, my expectations are higher than usual. The service and prices were ~okay. The food don’t have too much flavor — at least the chicken, I probably can go back to try the pork. The salsa bar is a good idea. Still looking for a good Mexican place, any recommendations?

Great ambiance and food is very delicious. The salsa verde was fresh and light. The taco portions could be a little bit more generous. Overall, it’s a good place!

I have been meaning to write a review on this place for about 2 months and never do. Of course I forgot to take pics again as I’m so hungry I don’t think about it!!! :) To start the place is very clean and friendly. It’s a little different as you go up to the counter to order and then sit down. I’m not a big fan of this but I am getting use to it. A lot of Hispanic customers which in my opinion is a good thing at a Mexican restaurant. Everyone I have been there with loves their rice, it is pretty good! I have tried Fajita’s, a few types of their tacos(house special is my fav.), Enchiladas, and burritos. I would say my favorite is the enchiladas with the tacos being a close second. Always hot and fresh. I have never had a cold meal here. There Tres’ leche cake was amazing but very sweet(as it should be). One of my favorite food aspects of this place is the sauce/condiment bar. I hope they run with this and add to it. But for now it is really good(wish I would’ve taken pics!!). For negatives the only thing I can say is it’s a bit hidden and you have to drive around inside the plaza to get to it and I do like just sitting and ordering better. Ohh… they have beer too! Overall — very solid fresh hot food with a friendly staff and good prices.

This place has changed since the last time I was there. The layout was way better than what they had. The food hasn’t changed though. It is still very good and very authentic. They have all different styles of tacos burritos enchiladas quesadillas with quite a selection of different meats to go on them the place was packed when we got there. Good place for a good authentic Mexican meal. Fast affordable and very very good. BTW I forgot the salsa bar. Ranges from mild to wild. All homemade.

By far the best authentic Mexican in town. There horchata is a must and there carne asada fries are so delicious. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. Taco rancheros are amazing as well(chicken, steak and carnitas) are all great. Eat here once a week sometimes twice after a couple of rounds of disc golf. You can buy a si senior tshirt and get discounts off wearing it. They also have a meal card after you spend $ 100 you get a $ 15 meal comp.

We just moved to the area and we always have a go to place to eat fajitas and this was a home run hit when we sat down to eat. It is different then what we are use to with ordering but I actually like it better. You order when you come in the door and after sitting down the food is hot a ready in five mins or less. They have a salsa bar which you can choose what you like and they offer free chips for dinning in. Great food and friendly service! We have already been twice in two weeks!

Salsa bar– salsa bars has assortments of salsa. It is self serve and delicious. Delicious tacos– They don’t have sour cream, lettuce, or guacamole. It’s just perfectly seasoned meat in flour tortillas. Football game-$ 5.00 pitchers and $ 2.50 during Jags 2015 games. Good place to watch the game.

I’ve been reading about this place in several local magazines and decided to give it a try a few weeks ago. I love Mexican food so I’m not hard to please but my super picky boyfriend was actually impressed which is a miracle! The staff is friendly, and the service is pretty fast. We usually get the asada meal which is big enough to share. The roasted onions are amazing.

I got the pork tips and steak tacos. I really enjoy the pork tips. I’m glad it wasn’t like Taco Bell. I liked the homemade salsa sauce. Their meat were fresh and delicious

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Jacksonville. Si Señor is the closest Mexican food to what I grew up with in San Diego. They have a great selection of meats in a variety of preparations. I personally adore their pastor and carnitas. Both are amazing. I have also had the pollo Asada and carne asada, both I also enjoy. Southern Californian’s will be glad to know they have a version of carne/pollo asada fries!!! It isn’t on the menu so you have to ask. Their tacos are also great but their sopes are homemade and very good!!! I haven’t seen sopes on another menu. Their tortas are also good. The have horchata which I love and always have to get!!! They also make a wonderful assortment of salsa’s which I have grown to love many. They also serve beer and margaritas. They have good drink specials. The service is great. The restaurant has always been very clean and welcoming. I will gladly drive up from Orange Park just for their yummy food!!! Try Si Señor! You will not be disappointed!

I got the burrito with asada combo, and it was delicious! They’re almost on par with California burritos. The burrito was gigantic! I went there at 3pm, and I hadn’t had anything to eat since 9am. That’s why I decided to add the combo with the rice, beans, and a drink. I was full after eating half of the burrito! It’s now 10pm, and my leftover burrito, rice, and beans are still sleeping peacefully in the fridge waiting for me to eat him tomorrow. The only complaint is that the beans gave me some flatulence problems for a few hours, and it was really embarrassing since I was studying at the quiet floor of the library. It was totally worth it though. The owner was super friendly and nice. The décor is nice, and the place is clean. I will definitely be back when I crave for some Mexican food!

I’m so glad I can write this review. It makes me feel just awful every time I give a one star review, and I had to do it twice today. Mind you, out of 105 reviews, I only had 4 one stars, so I don’t do it lightly. But I have nothing by praises, praises, praises to heap on Si Señor!!! When I took my first bite, I felt like saying, «YES! YES! YES! Si Senior!» a la Meg Ryan. At long last, my search for a good Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville FL is over. I was starting to think it was an elusive unicorn fairy tale. I ordered the Chorizo and Al Pastor Mexican taco Plate. I’m used to Mexican tacos being tiny, so I opted for the combo plate which added Rice and Beans, but I couldn’t take a bite of them. I was so full from my plump juicy tacos. But the hubby didn’t mind eating what I left on my plate, which by the way did not have even a SPECK of taco, cuz this girl hoovered that shi… right up! The Chorizo was perfectly spiced and juicy. The Al Pastor had tons of plump, juicy, tender meat. God I’m so happy right now. Just remembering how I felt two weeks ago when I ate here is filling my heart with joy. Anyhow, *shakes head of fantasy fog, cleans up drool* we ordered the guacamole to share and it was perfect and plentiful. A lot for the price. I am happy, happy HAPPY!!!

I had seen some good reviews for this place and wanted to check it out… Me, hubby and Mark headed over there for lunch. It’s in a strip mall close to UNF… You order at counter then they bring the food to you. They were very busy for lunch, almost every table full. We ordered two different types of tacos and the steak. I like they offer different styles of tacos to suit your taste. Me and Mark shared like good Unilocalers and each tried one taco, one ground beef, one pork… They were good, not blown away great, but good tacos. Hubby got the steak and it looked and tasted good. They have a salsa bar you can get all the salsa you want. Maybe my expectations were up too high but this was pretty standard Mexican food.
