I loved it. Great music, great lights for a small EDC club on Wednesdays. That’s only when I go. The drinks are kinda pricy but if you rave like me then it’s worth it.(Recommend pre-game). It’s not ghetto at all. Only thing was, I wish it was bigger. On weekends it gets ghetto, but it is jax. A lot of beautiful women, and a lot of men willing to pay women’s drinks just for the hell of it. Eat sleep rave repeat!

WIDEAWAKEWEDNESDAYS Considering this is the only decent EDM club in Jax it’s not too bad. but it’s not the best. My girlfriend and I just moved here from California, so the Rave/EDM scene over there is way bigger and endless clubs playing/vibing to our kind of music. MUSIC: The music is good. My girlfriend and I danced a lot, but the dance floor gets pretty packed, so we dance on the sides where people sometimes bump in to you while they are walking by. Also, there are some pretty known DJ’s like Bro Safari, Borgore, and Ookay who perform sometimes. Drinks: A little over priced given the small glasses they hand you. Age group: Ranges from 18-mid 20’s with the occassional random 40yr old creeper Also, I had this one a-hole who kept grabbing me uncomfortably a total of three times(while I’m dancing/with my girlfriend!) until I finally shoved him as hard as I could. He then proceeded to look at me like I was the crazy one and saw rage on his face as he was about to throw his drink at me. Luckily, everyone around him was ready to jump his loser a** and finally walked away. The security guard inside the club asked my girlfriend randomly for her ID when we were walking from the bathrooms to the dance floor(she’s 27 and prob one of the oldest in the club), so I think they should worry more about people assaulting others than asking a 27year old for her ID… but you’re always going to have creeps in the clubs. The overall vibe from the crowd was friendly though; we met several new people while partying. just a couple sketchy ones that need to be weeded out. Smoking Section: Very small considering there are a LOT of people hanging out and trying to get their smoke on. Another thing… it gets HOT in there so bring out the bootie shorts! Overall experience is fun; we’ve only been there once, but we are going to return soon. remember the PLUR!

I only go on Wednesdays for WideAwake and it is pretty fun. It’s really nice inside. They have decent to good DJs and the sound system is nice. They have atmosphere lighting, black lights and all that. The bouncers are pretty cool. You will get frisked before you walk in(for drugs or weapons) and it’s normally $ 10 for 18−20y/o and $ 5 for 21+(Unless it’s a special night or a special DJ is playing. As with most clubs girls will get hit on but I haven’t had many problems(not on dance floor). On the dance floor guys ask a lot to dance with girls, if your not into that(like me) bring a friend girl or guy to dance with. The smoke area is somewhat small for the amount of people that go out there, not enough chairs at all in the smoke area. It definitely can be fun when you go in groups or with someone else. This place is for partying and there’s a lot of it.

I had a great time. I haven’t been to a real club spot since I was 27 and living in New York. So now I went here on a Saturday night and it was Free for Ladies. I wasn’t paying so I was there at 10:15. They have a food menu but it looks like it was only for people who had a table or setting space. by 1:30 There was still a empty table by the dj booth. they could have gave it away and I promise you it would have encouraged somebody to buy a bottle or some food. They play some old school beats this night for the 25 and Up… Cause you know that’s how you start going down memory lane. and I was having a ball like I was 23 all over again. We left out at about 1:30 and they were out selling BBQ in the lot. Only in the South baby. I’ll go again next time my friends actually come to town and visit me. lol Fav Drink: Moscato 6.50 Easy good and a lot!

This place is dying down from what I remember. It was really empty on a Friday night. Music was horrible and hard to dance to. Girls were wearing jeans and flats. Guys were wearing shorts on the weekends. Standard definitely has gone lower to try to fill up the place. It was ladies night — got in for free — and free drinks till 12. What they don’t tell you, is that it’s only free on one of the bars. Ended up paying for my drink. :/Me and my crowd decided to not go here again.

Awesome place. Great events. Hosting some of the best parties in Jax. They have the best staff working there who have amazing personalities and are always helpful. Definitely a great place to go out and have an amazing evening, make new friends and dance your ass off!

I went on a Saturday and it was lame. Nobody really dances just standing around on the dance floor and I blame that on the dj bcus in my opinion he played nothing but hip hop and rap songs that you can’t really dance to. Also the club isn’t really diverse in ppl if u get what I mean not that there isn’t anything wrong with that but you stick out like a sore thumb if ur not a Certain type of race. Plus I checked in to use the coupon or whatever and they said I couldn’t use it for that day. I’m not going back.

Don’t go here! Put myself on the guest list. Waited in line for half an hour… Got to the front of the line… the bouncer held us up! So when we got in they told us we had to pay $ 15…Why? Because guest list check in ended at 11pm… What time was it? 11:02(not exaggerating). REALLY??? Where is the customer service? NOTWORTHIT!

I’ve been here too often not to make an update. The first time I partied here might have been an isolated occurrence. Ratchets must have had a convention in Duval that weekend and must have paid some serious money to party. But normally Saturday nights are pretty cool. Expect a line. Take a shot(make sure you have a DD) and you won’t be worried about the wait. Smile a little and start a conversation in line and your first drink might be free. Women are dressed as freshly as their imaginations can allow. It could easily be identified as a fashion show. While men grab a few friends, grab a table and buy up the bar. Love that the dj is always playing new music. You hear a little DC, Chicago, Houston, New York, Cali and I love the island vibe when we dips deeps in the crates and pulls out more then Sean Paul and early 2000’s reggae. Bartenders are always nice. Never had a badly made drink. Not sure I ever make it out early enough to catch any drink specials. VIP gives you a elevated and roped off area to sit and watch the crowd. Also ideal if you want to hookah. Most people are professionals that just want to unwind a little, drink a little, dance a little, and maybe find some good conversation. I know there is security hanging about — but I’ve never been there to see them in use — which is a great thing for me. I always feel I’ll have a safe and fun night. And I do.

Went last night which was a Saturday. Crowd was mostly in their 20s and early thirties black crowd. I loved the music mostly southern hip hop and hip hop. The ladies mostly wore very tight short dresses and dressed very sexy. The men mostly jeans and dress shirt. Everyone was respectful and had a good time. The inside was all white very beautiful and classy. The only thing I didn’t like was that my boyfriend and I were there at 10 :20pm because before 11 pm entrance is free but of course that’s too good to be true they mostly made everyone wait outside for at least 30 to 40 minutes. So don’t count on ever getting in free unless you want to stand outside for no reason.

My girl friend took me here because… I don’t know why, actually. I guess this place would be fun if I were a drug crazed EDM youth. But I am not, so the night consisted of me feeling way out of place as a bunch of youths heckle me for my phone number. This is definitely not where you want to be if you are in your mid to late twenties and older. The crowd was way too young and obnoxious. However, for the teens and early twenties age group, this place seems to be the ish. There was a $ 5 cover, but somehow we didn’t have to pay. The have psychodelic lamps, posters, and goggles to enhance the EDM experience at the club’s entrance. On the upside, there was a food truck outside the club selling gyros.

I have a mixed relationship with PURE. I don’t hate it, but there are other places in town I’d like to try. But in the end, I can’t help but go back there every week or so. It doesn’t help that too many people I know are in LOVE with this place. In some ways, I am too. I like the EDM techno music they play on Wednesdays when it is mostly a younger crowd decked out in EDM gear and gloving and sometimes big name DJ’s come to perform. On Fridays, they play Top40/EDM techno, and the dress code keeps the mixed crowd looking nice and classy. But don’t ask the DJ to play Gangnam Style. He hates that song with a passion! Haha But one of the coolest things that get me coming back here is the crowd. The regulars are really cool people who are just there to have fun and enjoy themselves. The drinks are pretty delicious too. I never cared for cranberry vodka but they make them really tasty here. Oh, and if you smoke, there is a smoking area outside, so the place doesn’t stink up your wardrobe. That’s always a plus for me. Another really cool thing I like about this club is that they get pretty creative with their events, Candyland themed event with ladies dressed in candy inspired clothing, Masquerade Ball in which everyone dons masks, their monthly Climax party which celebrates birthdays(and birthday people get their pics on the flyer), and their One Year Anniversary featured a balloon drop, $ 1000 cash prize, and a lighted dancing robot. What.The.Funk? That night straight up felt like Vegas, with how packed and ridiculously fun it was. Did I mention people on the guestlist got in free and it was unlimited liquid forgetfulness ALLNIGHTLONG for women? Yup. I hardly remember that night. I do remember only spending $ 1 for tipping the bartender. I wanted to give her more later that night but I forgot. Haha. In the past, I was scared as heck to return to this club when it was still called Tera Nova due to some bizarre car accidents, but since they changed the name it seems the curse is gone and I haven’t got into any doofy accidents. Haha. However, I DID lose my keys on the dance floor that One Year Anniversary event due to liquid forgetfulness. Turns out I dropped the camera a few times and luckily a nice girl I didn’t know returned it to my friends.(Thankfully the camera still works!) I must be the only person who still carries a regular digital camera.(Hey, the batteries in my phone die out too quickly!) Haha. With all this forgetfulness, I’m surprised I even remember seeing a flyer I designed up on the screen that night. That was priceless. A friend of mine said he hates this club but I see him here all the time, so he must be in a mixed relationship with Pure, too. Either that, or he’s in denial. Haha. You can’t escape the Pure. Bwahaha.
