I have taken lessons at Dance Shak on and off for a few years. This is one of the best places to go for lessons in the Jax area. The staff is great. Very affordable, great way to learn without breaking the bank. Eddie is great!!!

Go for the FREE group class for beginners on Friday night. Go alone or take a friend. Learn some basic steps, meet some other people that are just learning and stay for the party afterwards. The staff is all super friendly and helpful. Not pushy at all. And you just can’t beat free classes. Once you’ve decided this is for you, you can take classes pay as you go. No commitment unless you want to. Would be a great date night or if you don’t have a partner, no worries… the staff will hook you up so you don’t feel awkward while you’re learning.

Salsa lessons and margaritas make for a great mid-​week date night. So much fun! Start by dropping in on one of the many free lessons they have every month. For thirty minutes you learn the basic and get antiquated with instructors and students. Purchase a cheap membership and be given discounts on course and dance parties throughout the month. No partner required to take a class. Don’t miss out on so much fun, exercise and social dancing with the sweetest instructors around. Plus when you finally take your moves to dance clubs you’ll have other newbies with you.
