This was my first time here; my sweet friend took me for an early birthday treat. The pros of this place is definitely the location, service and décor. Unfortunately, the con is the cupcakes. The red velvet one I tried was so dry and thick, very unpleasant and not worth the calories. My friend had the strawberry one and loved the icing, but the cupcake itself was like eating a sweet brick. No moisture in there at a all. It’s a shame because this place is super cute. I’m willing to give it another try, perhaps in the morning when everything should be fresh(We had this around 1pm). There are way too many better dessert places in Avondale so they should step up their quality to compete. Overall nice experience, just wish those cupcakes were soft and moist!

They made my mom’s cake for her surprise 60th birthday party and EVERYONE was asking me where it was from because it was«the best cake» they’ve ever had! It was definitely delicious and looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I will definitely use them again for events in the future!

I was excited to try this place when my friend told me they had good grilled cheeses. Honestly was disappointed. The sandwich was so thin and could have used more stuff… I’m still hungry. The tomato bisque was luke warm and just okay. For 8 dollars I would expect much more. It also took a while to come out. I can’t speak to the sweets. I will not be back for lunch.

New owners Liz and Scott are great. I recommend the cupcakes and the mini-cheesecakes. Also my wife tells me the coffee is very good.

I have had a cupcake here. Also, I have had their carrot cake at Monroe’s BBQ. Both are perfectly fine but not memorable, in my opinion. I think this bakery is good but not outstanding(as an example, the frostings have a good flavor even though they are not as sinfully rich and creamy as I prefer). Let me put it this way: I will try something else from here if it is convenient, but I will not go out of my way to do so.

Decent customer service, but the cupcakes I heard so much about stale and dry! A cupcake dry… still baffled.

I will NEVER go there again. I was relieved to read 2 post here that lead me to believe I’m not alone in my feelings about this place. First off, the staff, very rude. I hope the owners please read this as the young girls are nothing but«mean girls». I walked in and was surprised to see the place different. One girl, whispers loudly, «weird» I guess i was taking too long to look around. She said it loudly and me working retail for years was completely grossed out by her behavior. To the owners: your staff needs to be trained on how to interact with customers. I have also heard from friends that these girls are rude. Second, I bought a chocolate cream cupcake-and this is the 2nd time this has happened… it’s dry. I know you guys are selling old product and it’s totally disgusting. 3.25 per cupcake. I should have taken back and thrown it back. When you have old product-sell it cheaper(and let them know it’s a day old) I have a feeling the cupcake I ate; was 3 days old. it literally crumbled in my hand(dry as heck to the taste) I threw it out. They do put«new» icing on them but it’s old. It also doesn’t taste that good. I have had better cupcakes elsewhere Oh and what’s «weird» is you sale stale old cupcakes(at least the one I bought) and what’s weird is if. I’ll be back. lol

I ordered cupcakes from this place for my birthday and they were a hit with all of my nieces and my nephew. My mother fell in love with the coconut cupcake and my boyfriend and my dad loved the carrot cupcake. My favorite cupcake is the chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting. I crave that flavor so I’ll definitely go for it! The only small complaint I have is the cupcakes weren’t festively decorated for my birthday like I requested. It wasn’t a major disappointment, but something I would’ve definitely appreciated if it was done. Over all great cupcake place; The owner is amazing and the staff is friendly. :-)

I’ve tried 4 of their cupcakes, they were mediocre at best. I wouldn’t turn one down, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. The staff at this place doesn’t help either, I felt very unwelcome when I shopped here. I asked questions about their cakes and received answers in a tone that suggested I was bothering or wasting their time.

Yum! I went here this morning to pick up a few cupcakes for a co-worker’s birthday. I selected 3 different types: 1) chocolate bombe: delicious! chocolate cupcake topped with fudge and then icing 2) strawberries and whip cream: the topping had nice fresh tasting strawberries 3) carrot cake: this one was the overall favorite! the cake was so moist and the texture was perfect. Also, I got a praline just for extra indulgence. This like everything else was right on the money. I will go here again when needing cupcakes!

I bought three ten-inchers from LTEC for my casual wedding on January 15th of this year. They were: Vienna Torte ala Berry Custard: $ 65 Coconut: $ 50 and Chocolate Raspberry: $ 55 First of all, the order for these was put in(relatively) last minute. Although the girls I spoke to on the phone about my order expressed typical teenage apathy, they happily put the owner on the phone. The owner herself, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was totally understanding, thorough, patient, organized, and friendly. Secondly, I have to say that for these prices, I was expecting a lot. I mean, this is a small bakery in Jacksonville, FL. I’ve seen forty-dollar cakes in NYC, but… well, you understand. The stakes were high. These prices were set, by the way, before I had told them about the wedding — for those of you who are thinking they pulled the ol’ wedding-multiples rule. Alright, the final verdict: Vienna Torte ala Berry Custard: This was the Cake Supreme! It was the prettiest, the tastiest, the most popular, and gone the soonest. Loooooooove this cake. Yu-um. The owner recommended it. Very nice, entirely fresh crème, berries, cake, everything. You could taste the love put into this confection. Coconut: Very pleasant, light, appropriately sweet, fresh, and scrumptious. This cake was the second to go. It is not as visually impressive as the Berry Torte, but was nonetheless very tasty. Ah, and my husband would like for me to add that it was not iced, but rather topped with *fresh* whipped cream! Chocolate Raspberry: This cake was quite a change of pace from the other two. Again, not overly sweet, but juuust right. The raspberry filling was the real thing, and this one was in fact iced with chocolate ganache. Now, I’m a serious fan of chocolate, don’t get me wrong, but I saw more than a few guests abandon their slices after a few bites(blasphemy!) because they said it was«too chocolaty». At the end of the party, this was the only one left, and almost a quarter-cake at that. My advice: get this cake if you’ve got some serious chocophiles to entertain. It’s extraordinarily rich. Overall impression: Very, very nice bakery. The reason for the missing star is the price. My socks weren’t literally blown off, and honestly, that was pretty much what I was expecting. On second thought, however, I’m beginning to digest the reality that the price one must pay for genuine American products outside of a megalithic corporation is $ 65 per cake. So…5 stars it is! Yay for cake!

Don’t be a sucker going to awful cupcake places. Go to a real bakery that actually uses butter. Go to Let Them Eat Cake and enjoy. You’re welcome.

Super cute bakery in Shoppes of Avondale. A great cupcake selection as well as other cookies and treats. I had a Red Velvet Cupcake with cream cheese icing. At $ 2.75 it was worth it — the cupcake was HUGE and tasted like a dream. (ps — Don’t consider my review bias since my nick name is Lindsay«Let Me Eat Cake» L. ! :)
