The French toast is the best I’ve ever had. It’s very very sweet though, so be prepared. The coffee is perfect. The bacon, uncured and hard to chew, was less than desirable. Overall the place is a nice stop for brunch and I will return to try their other menu options soon(they only have a brunch menu on Sunday’s).

One of the best eggs benedict I have had! Substituted ham for the salmon. So much flavor!!! I would recommend it!

Sitting on a bench table inside Knead listening to Bizarre Love Triangle by NO(my fave) playing over their sound system. The lunch crowd is streaming in little by little… And I had only one purpose to be there: The Southern Butter Pecan Cookie-buttery, chewy, nutty, crispy, sweet, savory, delectable, perfectly baked & balanced($ 1.55 ea.) biscuit of joy This cookie is a masterpiece. Have it with coffee, tea, any type of milk or on its own. I swear I lay in bed at times and just crave this particular cookie from Knead. Worth every penny. Worth each calorie. Worth getting out of bed today.

One of the best breakfast/brunch spots in town. Love this place! The Pretzel Bagel is complete awesomeness and the Ham, Thyme & Gruyère Croissant is a great quick bite on your way to work. But where they really shine is their Saturday & Sunday brunch! I had the Eggs Benedict and was blown away. One of the best Benedict’s I’ve had. All of the peeps working here are awesome too. The servers are always friendly. Definitely check this place out if you are into delicious breakfast/brunch joints.(The lunch here is off the frikin’ chain too!)

Perfect little bake shop with a nice variety of items. I got a box of assorted goodies to go to take to a meeting, everyone loved everything. If there could be one thing different I would like to have been able to grab lunch sandwiches to go asthey only have breakfast ones available until 11 a.m. which didn’t work for the way my day was setup. I am looking forward to the next time I need to be in that area and will definitely offer to bring breakfast treats again.

Knead Bakeshop, how I adore thee. As a first time diner, I landed on the Italian Sandwich with kettle chips. The meats and cheese were salty and full of hearty flavor. The bread was delicious — the perfect texture for cold cuts. But the kicker(s) was the combination of the pickled red onions and the pepper jelly. Spicy, tangy and added a punch to this five star sandwich. The service from the ladies behind the counter couldn’t have been better. Smiles all around as they made recommendations. The food was brought out ten minutes after ordering. There are two tables outside and picnic tables and scattered seating inside. Connected is Bold Bean(which I’ll be reviewing next). The décor fits their concept. The down-to-Earth bake shop even serves drinks out of mason jars. I wouldn’t be surprised if Knead was a local favorite for the Murray Hill community. But the fierce combination of Knead and Bold Bean together, now there’s my goes my weekend! Now only if I lived two and a half hours East… Knead, you’ll see my face again. Your product is just too good.

Um one word, Yum. Ok I have to say a little bit more than that. Cute bake shop in Jacksonville. The inside is clean, and well decorated. Only girls and gay men into designing will care about that. Don’t be deterred by the scary back parking lot where There might be a limb or two in the dumpster. It’s really a charming place to eat. Ordered the Ham and Brie on a croissant, it is normally served on a brioche roll but I am difficult. My side kick ordered the chicken salad which had bacon, avocado and jam on a brioche roll. Both were delicious, fresh ingredients on home made bread, it was heaven. Service was quick and friendly they did not get annoyed when I changed my bread. We ordered to go as time was short. But next time we will sit and enjoy our food instead of shoving it in our faces in the truck.

Though I don’t always have it(shame on me), breakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day! Knead Bakeshop, which is perfect for breakfast, is located in Murray Hill. It’s in between two other amazing local spots, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Bold Bean Coffee and it definitely fits right in! There are several things I love about Knead. The location is intimate with a very welcoming ambiance. They have adorable white picnic tables that are used for community dining. Their menu is pretty limited… but I love that they offer pastries, breakfast, and lunch all of which are baked in house! I saw some of my favorite pastries like monkey bread, chocolate croissants, muffins, and quiche! I was pretty excited! The order numbers are fabulous! They feature iconic music artists with Prince being the best one, of course! As for what I ordered, anyone who know me well, knows that I love bread! So croissants and biscuits are an absolute must for me! The almond croissant was amazing! It paired perfectly with my coffee. It may be a good thing that they don’t open until 7am because I am already at work. If they opened any earlier, making a stop there every morning before work for an almond croissant and coffee could get my waistline in some trouble! Their Bacon Cheddar Biscuit was recommended to me and I understand why! The biscuit is made with… you guessed it, bacon and cheddar and the sausage on the biscuit was so savory. The only thing you have to make sure to do is ask for your egg over hard if you’re not into runny eggs like me. I didn’t and my sandwich was full of runny egg yolk. It was still delish though! On my most recent trip, I got the loaded croissant which came with a chewy croissant stuffed with sausage, egg, and cheese! So good! It sure beats the heck out of those chain restaurant breakfast sandwiches who we will NOT speak of here! This sandwich was so good I had to show you two shots of it! I definitely love Knead Bakeshop and need to make a trip back to try some of their lunch sandwiches like the Jamon Serrano and Ham and Brie. They also offer weekend brunch specials which I hear now includes mimosas! I am always down for that!

As much as I hate getting up early on a Sunday when I have nothing to get up for, a friend had asked a group of us if we wanted to meet here for breakfast. He comes here just about every Sunday. What is the draw here? I had to investigate. First off, follow the signs to Edgewood Ave if you’re coming from I-10 West. My GPS said«take a slight right turn on Roosevelt» which could easily be mistaken for the bend at Roosevelt and McDuff. Since I knew it was off Edgewood I didn’t miss my turn like my other friends did. What a quaint little shop! I love it. A couple of tables with chairs on one side and several picnic tables pushed together on the other side. Communal eating I guess is what you’d call it. Ordering is in the back at a counter with a bunch of baked goods on display and chalkboard menus. I wasn’t in the mood for a breakfast sandwich that morning but still needed to wake up and eat something, so I ordered an Iced Coffee, a Chocolate Orange scone, and a Lemon Poppy seed scone. Mind you, I had help eating these. The chocolate orange scone was fantastic. Tasted like semisweet chocolate chunks and there was just a hint of orange that was not overpowered. The lemon poppy seed scone was glazed so I was taken aback when it felt kinda hard. But once I bit into it, omg, the center was soft and flavorlicious. I was definitely awake by now. Was it worth it? You bet. Now I must come back for lunch :)

Wandered into Knead after discovering a certain biscuit place was closed on Sundays. At the end of my visit, I was so happy that the place I was initially planning on eating at was closed because KNEAD is wonderful! The staff is pleasant and personable, the chicken salad sandwich and coffee I ordered was beyond delicious, and the brownie and southern pecan cookies I took to-go were rich and too good to share with anyone. I’m already planning a trip back and I can’t wait to try some of their other sandwiches and goodies. If you like a cute and quiet no frills place for good strong coffee and delectable eats, you will love KNEAD! Also, extra thumbs up for creating a friendly and accepting eatery for all!

I’ve wanted to go to Knead for the longest time. After a 12 mile bike ride I was in the area and so stoked that it was open. The croissants! Definitely the best I’ve ever had. I had a the almost loaded croissant and I was so impressed. I also had a lemon poppyseed scone *inset emoji with the heart eyes here. Super friendly staff and adorable vibe. I’ll go back a million times.

I had this place bookmarked because my lovely Unilocal family were saying great things about it and they were correct. I stopped by for a order to go, a treat since bread and I are no friends, but sometimes I do crave a good sandwich and when I do I look for the best! I ordered the chicken salad and it came on a large ciabatta with avocado and lemon jelly. The bread was so fresh which was so different because most sandwich breads are a few days old, it was delicious! It came with a salad side which had a wonderful dressing also. They have several items that I have put on my bellybucket list to try in my next visits. It’s not a fancy place but has its own personality!

Walking to lunch with my head down, thinking of one of my work cases I almost ran into a sandwich board for Knead. Heck, it seemed like divine inspiration to me, so I opened the door… …and entered another world. Wooden picnic tables on the right, wooden tables with high back chairs on the left, all of which evoke a Mayberry RFD feel. Sandwiches and yummy bread are the rule here and they do it very well. Options include croissants, biscuits, and various sizes of freshly cooked bread. I oped for the ham and Brie and it was delightful. A close second was the Jamon Serrano, mostly because you don’t see Spanish ham served a lot of places. But I will have to leave that for another trip. Really worth a visit, open from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday thru Sunday.

Stopped in for lunch with a small group while in town — all around very impressed. My chicken salad sandwich was delicious(they had run out of their pear spread so lemon jelly was subbed in, which showed some creativity in the kitchen), and came with plentiful salt and pepper chips on the side. The iced coffee was good too, a little on the weak side but tasty. Everyone else liked their sandwiches too — the bread here seems especially good. The service was friendly and pretty quick: order at the counter, then head for a communal table and your food gets brought to you. My one gripe would be that they charge an extra couple dollars to swap in a side salad for the chips on the side, which one of our party opted for. Judging by the size of the salad… it’s unclear to me why they wouldn’t be charging more for the chips instead. Pretty paltry — at the very least, it should be a free alternative.

Murray Hill is a little off the beaten path for this beach babe, but when we had the opportunity to make it over a couple ditches to that side of town, I knew I would have no problem convincing the husband to ride along. Such a clean, bright space. Definitely feels like the cousin of the Bold Bean family. Similar feel, but unique in it’s own way. I went for the Bagel & Lox with a cup of coffee. I’ve fallen in love with this breakfast item and have taken to trying it almost anywhere I go. Knead’s took it up a notch with some arugula. I didn’t think anything of it when I saw it mentioned in the description, but the peppery green definitely came to play. It added a nice kick to the bite finish that I wasn’t expecting. We passed on sweet treats during this visit, but if we ever find ourself in the neighborhood again, we’ll definitely stop in. Just glad we can indulge at the Jax Beach Bold Bean on Adam’s amazing creations.

When I first saw pictures of Knead I thought it was too cool not to visit. Between the décor and pastries this was a must visit spot. The restaurant ambience and décor is extremely charming and clean. White subway tiled backsplash, modern pendant lights with Edison bulbs, exposed beam ceiling and cute picnic style tables make Knead one of the most inviting little spots you can find in Jacksonville. Now on to the food: I ordered a chicken salad sandwich which was pretty good– fresh vegetables and tasty chicken make for a light brunch item. I also had a cranberry muffin which was delicious and only lasted 5 seconds on my plate. I don’t really like chicken salad sandwiches but there were not too many options for me. Another negative was that most of the desserts were gone so I really didn’t get to quell my insatiable appetite for pastry. I guess I have to arrive very early to get a better selection. Service was good as well. Our orders took longer than usual because of technical difficulties so the server brought a free lemon poppy seed pastry and cookie and apologized. In conclusion I like knead but I felt like I didn’t get the full experience due to the time I arrived. I will go back again close to opening and hopefully I’ll be able to add a star.

I’ve visited this little spot on multiple occasions and there are several very wonderful and several not-so-wonderful things about Knead. Let’s start with the décor-it is absolutely adorable. The options to sit at a family-style picnic table or alone/with your party at a single table provide great seating options for guests. The menu is clear and concise, the establishment is clean and it is a welcome sight to see a cozy spot in the Murray hill area. The food is simple and delicious. It really is. I have tried several items from the breakfast and the lunch menu as well as their fresh-squeezed lemonade and their flavoured teas. I highly recommend the vegan bahn mi sandwich-even if you aren’t vegan! It is amazing. The chips that accompany the sandwiches are extremely crunchy-and quite salty. You will definitely need something to wash them down. The croissants are delicious and the lemon poppyseed scone is out of this world. The salmon bagel was offered last weekend for breakfast and it was also a winner in my book. That being said, there are a few issues I’ve run into while visiting. They typically run out of many of their breakfast items on the weekend and they already have a small menu. That in itself is frustrating. The second problem I have is that they charge for refills. When I am paying almost three dollars for a drink and I am dining in, I expect that some sort of refill be offered, «hand squeezed» or not. The lemonade is good-but already overpriced, so the refill charge is over the top for me. The first time I visited, I paid full price for a refill. The second time it was dollar or so. I don’t know which is the regular policy. They do not have sugar free sodas(which, okay, I get, since they’re all hipster and everything), but the drink menu is quite limited. I mean, everything is limited, so that’s to be expected, but a sugar free soda option would be nice. The pastries also disappear unless you are willing to rise at the crack of dawn for first choice. And I get it, this is the style of the business, but it’s frustrating to pop in at 9 and be told that most of the things on the five-item menu are sold out and so are the pastries. I think they should reconsider and reevaluate how many items they need to adequately serve their guests. If you run out of a certain item every weekend, it’s a good bet you should stock up on that the next time. I will continue to visit Knead, because I can literally walk to it from my house and because I’m rather addicted to their bahn mi sandwich-a rare thing for a girl who doesn’t fancy sandwiches all that much. Maybe one day I will make it in before 7:30am and have the opportunity to order a breakfast item without being told, «Sorry, we’re out.» I really want to give this place five stars, and I do like it. However, consistently being told that menu items are unavailable and the refill charges has to be considered, and my rating reflects that. I do think Knead has a lot of potential, and despite these issues it’s worth a visit.

I recently returned last week because the chicken salad sandwich here is so delicious. I called in an order for pick up and was greeted at the counter by a warm, friendly, and courteous women. I was in uniform and she let me know that the restaurant offers a discount to military members which is very generous of them. I would love for them to offer a brunch menu over the weekend or even just have the availability to get breakfast after 11am.

Toasted Croissants. I know this is pure heaven for me. I love everything toasted and now I have found a place that does. I have been in here several times now and have enjoyed some of their tasty morsels. On this trip I got the sausage egg and cheese(or Loaded on the menu) on a toasted croissant. It was fabulous with a perfecting fried egg with a gooey yolk that just spilled all over my sandwich. I love a gooey egg on a sandwich. The sausage tasted good with a fair amount of seasonings. On other visits I have par took in some of their sweeter delights. The monkey bread is growing into one of my favorites. Good travel food meaning you can sit it next to you and pick at it. I have also had the cinnamon rolls and some of their cookies. I did notice today that they have really expanded their sandwich menu. Now I will be back and maybe even during a lunch break.
