There’s always a coupon in the Mint magazine for BOGO. Their food is always served fresh and fast and the sandwiches are always overloaded and delicious! We never pass up dessert, they have amazing cookies and incredible Italian lemon cake! Anything I’ve ever tried has been delicious!

What a nice surprise to happen upon this prize. Great food, I had the German Sausage platter. The German potato salad was outstanding. We chose to bring some baked goods home and are not disappointed.

I always enjoy the Athena’s Gift with a dessert of Shakti vegan cheezcake. Athena’s Gift is a vegan sausage made from nuts on a pressed flax seed bread with spring mix, tomatos, cashew cheez and the best part… olive salad! Erin was out waitress and she was great. She offered options for my husband to get him more vegetables for the same price and explained the dishes thoroughly.

Another booster meeting, another restaurant… This was my first time at ESC and I was pretty excited because I heard fairly good things about it. Heck, I’m always excited to try new restaurants. First off, parking sucks even on a Monday. I ended up parking across the street and walking over, trying to dodge cars on San Marco Ave. Inside, the place was very home-y. Tons of baskets lining the windows and items from all over Europe filled the space. You’re treated to the entire dessert case when you walk in and boy did they all look good. I knew that I was going to get something before I left. Our meeting was off to the far left in the private section. Nice and quiet, so everyone could be heard. I checked out the menu beforehand and as much as I wanted to try the Warmed Brie appetizer I didn’t get it. I decided on getting the French Connection Pita instead that had brie in it. It also has a double order of ham, lettuce, tomato and onions with mayonnaise and apple chutney on the side. Now that I’m looking at the menu again, I didn’t get apple chutney. I got ketchup instead. Sad panda. The sandwich itself was just ok. The melted brie didn’t taste like melted brie but more like melted spreadable brie-flavored cheddar cheese. Double sad panda because I love real brie. The pita was overstuffed so it fell apart after 3 bites. The chips were just ok too. For dessert I decided to try one of their Shakti desserts. Those are vegan, organic, gluten-free, low glycemic and made from cashew cheese. I’ve had cashew cheese before and it was pretty good. I got their Orange Creamsicle«Cheesecake» and couldn’t wait to try it when I got home. Well… while the dessert itself was what I expected it to be, I detected no «orange» or «creamsicle» taste to it. Triple sad panda. I believe the group will come back here and when they do, I may be on the fence about joining them.

Quirky with old store charm– Little candies and a plethora of beers for purchase. Happy hours with 2:1 local beers on tap. Lots of vegan friendly options as well. I ordered Athenas Gift which was a raw GF vegan sandwich which was really yummy. I topped it off with the spicy mustard blend they offer up. Next time I’ll be sure to try the vegan cheesecakes displayed in the front– they look divine! Oh, and service was also excellent!

Very pleased with the amazing happy hour specials! And loved 2 for 1 draught beers. The best part about that deal is that they have some great CRAFT beer on tap. A semi-rare find in the Jax area. We gathered some stools at the bar. Friendly staff and casual atmosphere. The restaurant reminds me of a streetcar diner, though as you walk in the doors, you’re greeted by a large case of sweets. It’s an eclectic place for sure. We didn’t eat any food so I can’t speak at all to their menu.

I don’t know what it is about this place. But every time I leave I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, the club Royale is the absolute best! Side order of kibbee or a bread bowl of beer cheese soup is the way to go. They also have great sliders if you want to sample all your favorites! European street is definitely one of Jax’s best kept secrets! The next time diners drives and dives are in town guy needs to stop here! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Meh. The food was okay. Nothing to really boast about. I thought it was all just average. The prices were fair. I was very surprised that the chips weren’t home made, the sauerkraut was far too sour to enjoy. The selection of mustards was a nice touch; I was pleasantly surprised by the spicy one. Service was unremarkable; which isn’t necessarily a terrible thing. I had come with hopes of a nice German lunch. It just fell short; either that or my past experiences have set the bar too high. Either way I don’t think I will be trying this one again. Danke schön, what a shame.

This was my third visit to the European Street Café. I didn’t like it. The beer cheese soup everyone liked? Not for me. The Huge hot dog? Not for me. The flavors were boring, the bread was stale. But I couldn’t help but notice that everyone around me was very happy with their food. Guess its just me. The happy hour brewskis was a great deal. And my server was fantastic.

Everything was ok. There’s nothing special about the café. The food wasn’t bad, but I didn’t love it either. I felt like it cheapened the experience with them selling candies and chocolates that are sold in supermarkets all over the United States. There’s really nothing special about Lindt chocolate when it lines the walls of every Walmart. One thing I did really like and will definitely come back for are the macaroons.

Always a good place for a semi-fast lunch. I usually get the same thing; a tuna on warm croissant with potato salad instead of chips. My hubby is a big fan of their beer cheese soup with pretzel stick. 1 sandwich is usually enough for our 2 kids to split. Their clubs are pretty big and a good deal for the price. The service could use some improvement. Most of the servers are decent but some just need to be retrained. Especially when it gets busy, that’s when the service is the worst. One time we sat for at least 10 – 15 mins before being acknowledged and had to go find a server to get menus. If they are short staffed then they should hire more servers. They have a yummy selection of deserts, some of which are organic and vegan. Parking is pretty scarce when it’s busy as well. But not a whole they can do about that considering the location.

Not a big Fan, But I always have the Suasages, pretty hard to mess that up, they Do not have Mashed Potatoes and being from ZINZINNATI, OHIO.(German Ref) I Love them with my Sour Kraut. Wife gets some Spicey Turkey sandwich. So Not bad but not a go to for me. If you like beer and wine or just a social spot check it out.

The sandwiches are always solidly good. I never am blown away by the fare but it has never let me down either. Maybe the reason for that is because I go during happy hour and get the tall.(BOGO). I believe they call that eating under the influence. S’okay, my family enjoys it, especially the princess Anna. I do like the champagne cheese spread with the pretzel. Nothing to call home about but I wouldn’t shun it either.

I had lunch there. I believe I had the beer soup, which in my opinion was very cheesy… I also had the turkey croissant sandwich, which was very good. I think this place is great for happy hour. The collection of beer there was awesome. Unfortunately, I did not have time that day. Now, the best part was their dessert. I had the chocolate cake, which was heavenly, but very expensive. I would have given it 5 stars, but they are very expensive.

Being a person who doesn’t eat meat I love deli style eateries(with loads of vegetarian friendly options.) European Street has an extensive menu of salads, sandwiches, pastries, wraps, wines, and more and all at an affordable price. I have been to this and several other locations and the consistency of the food is impressive. My sister and I both love the spinach dip. I also love this tuna pita they serve which has chick peas and lots of herbs in it. My last visit I saw a sign about happy hour wine, I’ll definitely be back to check that out. I’d recommend this place for both a quick lunch or a casual dinner.

European Street Café is a wonderful venue for a relaxed sandwich lunch. The hummus and tabbouleh pita is moist and savory. I recommend the beer cheese soup to the brave souls out there! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait here but the food is well worth it. It’s a casual venue so don’t expect a fancy table dinner… With that said, it’s always good. Their extensive list of imported beer doesn’t hurt.

Since being on a raw vegan diet, I was surprised to see this place and to have the food that taste good… I really enjoyed everything that I tasted to include the raw strawberry cheesecake. The server was very nice and took the time to answer all of my questions without rushing me. The only thing bad is the parking, good luck.

Ahh, sandwich and beer heaven! I have been to 2 different European Street locations during my trips to Jacksonville and I found them both to be quite enjoyable. The menu is diverse offering traditional deli sandwiches, salads, soups, and German fare(bratwurst and such). The beer menu is extensive and they are very fairly priced. The atmosphere in European Street is as if you just stepped into old Germany and the servers are really nice and attentive. I really like the food and beer and would definitely be a regular if I lived in the Jacksonville area! Give it a try!

Neat find. Not being from Jacksonville we had no idea that this was a ‘restaurant’ row area. We decided to dine here due to previous Unilocal reviews. The locale is nice. The ambiance is nice. The service was nice but overwhelmed due to the number of patrons. The food was 3.5 to 4 stars. I got the classic Ruben and was surprised when it came out to find the bread not toasted or grilled. Served on un-toasted rye bread made it a little soggy to eat. I spoke with the server and he said the kitchen does it on request. Wish I would have know ahead of time. Oh well. But all in all we really did like this place. Worthy of a nice lunch out 4 star rating.

Oh European Street. A Jacksonville icon, and always solid and consistent food. I really haven’t had a sandwich I didn’t like… the Reuben’s, veggie Reuben and croissants are great! The chicken salad is a bit bland, and they could cut up their salads a bit better, but all in all pretty good. The food probably won’t knock your socks off(maybe the beer cheese soup) but always seems to find a way to hit the spot. The beer selection is what moves me though. :) When I moved from Southside, I really wanted to be within walking distance of E-Street. And glad to say that I made that happen. Really enjoy that you can buy a nice imported 6-pack if you haven’t drank enough during your meal.
