I have lost count on how many times the website advertised a game or console in stock for a certain price, only to drive down there to find that they either didn’t have it or it was more than advertised. I have even called ahead to inquire about a game, I was told they had several in stock and they would hold one for me. When I got there(20 minutes later) they told me they didn’t have any left. I will never go to this location again.

I have definitely had better experiences in other locations. This Gamestop in Issaquah recently made me very frustrated as the customer service was horrible. I entered the store searching for a GameBoy DS, as a birthday gift for my brother who recently had his stolen from him. As I walked into the store I was kindly welcomed by the two young men that were working there. This store has a decent collection of games, though the largest collections were for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. After a few minutes of mindlessly looking through the collections, I proceeded to ask one of the employees about my Gameboy acquisition. I asked the man if they had any Gameboys and If I could see the used ones. Without a response and just a smug look in the face, the man walked into the back room in hopes that I knew why, since I saw some boxes on the Nintendo shelves that advertised their used Gameboys for 49.99. A little more than five minutes later the man returned, empty handed. I then again asked him If I could take a look at the used Gameboys they had in stock. Nonchalantly I got the response«Yea, Sure» and the man then went behind the computer and pulled out three used Gameboys, all priced over $ 80. I was frustrated by the false ad I saw for $ 30 dollars less. I prefer the service as well as the collection in the Bellevue location as the employees in this store were next to unable to help me in any way.

Nice space to stand and check out games. Doesn’t feel too claustrophobic like some other stores. The staff is hit or miss… I’ve been treated well in there by some staff, yet some management is rude and not helpful.

The Bellevue was is better. This store no longer carries PS2 games, and its used game selection is rather pathetic. There’s a girl on staff who does not know what she’s talking about at all. I’ve run into her about six or seven times and I swear she only got hired because of her looks. She doesn’t know squat about video games. She thought Zelda was a Playstation series. She didn’t know Skyrim had a PC version. When I asked for Dead Space, she didn’t know what that was either. As someone who worked at gamestop twice before when I was in school, I feel insulted. I go to this store and I know more about how to run it than its own employees do(with a select few exceptions). I expect the employees to put in the same effort I did when it came to knowing about upcoming games and being able to explain things to the customer. This Gamestop is very nice, very open, and not in a mall. Those are its perks. Otherwise, you’re better off ordering online. I only buy one or two things here a season, and that’s if I have to have it NOW and can’t wait. Parents, I strongly suggest you go to Bellevue instead, where the employees actually seem to know what exactly a video game is.

Great place to buy your video games. They have a massive used games selection and they always have the new releases. You can pre-order just about every big release too. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They give honest opinions about products and brands. You can get great store credit for exchanging your used games or hardware too.

This is a nice, bright, and open GameStop. Probably one of the nicest ones I’ve been in. There is actually room to stand and look at the games without being crammed up next to the shelves with 4 stinky gamers breathing all over you. It’s easy to get to and the parking situation is pretty good too. All in all a good GameStop.

The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. I came to gamestop to trade in my xbox for an xbox 360. The staff member was very helpful and helped me in every possible way to make as much money back as I could on everything I traded in. He convinced me to get a gameinformer magazine subscription which would include a Gamestop edgecard and coupon, the coupon would give me a bonus 30% on trade-in and he stacked the edge card 10% bonus on top of it. Then, because gamestop was doing a deal where we can get $ 80 back for the xbox console, I made even more money than I would on ebay or a basic trade-in. What was originally only $ 50 worth of trade in turned into over $ 130 easily. Gamestop was also doing a special where if you buy two used games you get one free. The edge card I had also gives 10% off used games, so we stacked that coupon too. I ended up walking out the store paying $ 431 for the xbox 360 pro console, 3 used games, and an extra wireless controller. Awesome deal! I later went back that night to trade back one of the games because my brother didn’t like it, smooth and easy transaction. The nice thing about the used games there is that you can bring back the game if you don’t like in exchange for a different one within 7 days. I will be doing all my reselling and used game purchases from gamestop from now on! Like the staff member kept telling me «we love ripping off our store!»
