Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza

Simply the best! The service is great and the pizza is delicious. You can either create your own pizza, or choose from one of their specials. All the pizzas are made in front of you and so you can truly personalize your own. There’s a very large variety of toppings and sauces to pick from, and they all seem fresh. In addition to pizza they have some s’more desserts that they put in the oven that get warm and gooey, and 2 types of lemonade (regular and blood orange). Highly recommend this place!

I decided to try out this place after hearing so much about it. I went for the meat lovers pizza which tasted great. Unfortunately, I don’t think the meat is stored properly as today morning it made me hurl. I did not eat much else that day so the only explanation could have been this pizza.
I hope the management increases their standards of storing the meat. Having it out like that increases the chances of bacteria, therefore increases the chances of your customer getting sick!

Awesome pizza. Workers here are super friendly and don’t skimp on the toppings. Love that the vegan cheese here is free now.

I went again to blaze Wednesday night to give the store another chance. When I got there, there was someone there to greet me at the door. The amount of meats was a lot to choose from, which was nice, but the amount of veggies was a bit disappointing. I was rung up by the manager, Brendan, who was really nice and offered to make it up to me for having a bad experience. Overall, I hope to come back in the future because it’s good pizza!

I had a tasty pizza here, but unfortunately it wasn’t the one I ordered because they mixed mine with someone else’s. In the group I was with, about ⁵⁄₆ of us had problems with not getting what we ordered.

Blaze never disappoints. Every visit is the same. Excellent quality, budget friendly prices and friendly staff. It makes for a great meal. Great!

This is an updated review from my previous post. Given that I had terrible service and food my first couple of times there, I was messaged by a manager who offered me free pizza passes to give them another shot. I was incredibly surprised and pleased to see that they care about their customer experiences. With a free pizza incentive, I had to give them another shot. This time I went in on a Wednesday and during lunch time. I was very pleased with both my pizza and the customer service. It definitely makes a difference when you dine in rather than take it home. There was an employee busting tables and making sure everyone was doing ok. I can say now that I would come back IF (and only if) I decide to dine there during the day. Seems like the employees are tired and annoyed by the late night hours, hence my not so great first visits. Thanks, Blaze!

This place is awesome! The pizza is made fresh while you wait with a wide variety of toppings that you choose… all for just $ 8! I had 7 different veggie toppings with a spicy sauce and 2 different cheeses.

MAN I LOVE BLAZEEEEEEEEEEEE. I used to get way too many toppings and you shouldn’t do that cause the crust is really thin so your toppings will just fall off. They have a decent amount of toppings to choose from and it takes around 3 minutes for your pizza to cook. Their blood orange lemonade is bombskies and so are their smores. I love how blaze always does BOGO so my roommate would take like 10 nexons and cut out mulitple coupons so we could just eat pizza for a whole week. HAHAAHAH. But yea it’s definitely better than some of the other pizzas and its not that expensive. I always went here when i went to SB

Not a good place for vegetarians. There are very few veg dishes in the menu. Though veggies and meat are kept separately, the same person serves both meat and veggies without changing the gloves.
The pizza is served too quick. They heat it for 3 – 4 minutes in the oven and when they take it out, the pizza is not well cooked. The cheese is still like a fluid. One of the worst pizaas I’ve had.

I’ve tried it and it’s alright. It’s not not bad it’s a great place to get a quick personalized flat bread pizza. Affordable and their pi-​day is cool; pizzas are the price of pi $ 3.14!
It reminds me of Pieology and Mod Pizza back at home where I am from.

This place pretty good compared to other IV restaurants. You can usually find coupons for BOGO here, which makes it even better. For $ 8, you can feed yourself for two meals (half now, half later.)
I usually load up my pizzas with just about every ingredient. This usually results in a soggy pizza, so be warned! The crust is crispy and good, but the middle sometimes has a pool of juice. It’s not their fault, obviously. A lot of vegetables just hold a lot of water which gets released when they’re cooked!
The service is pretty good, some days better than others. I really like how they have the half pizza boxes for your left overs.
There is nothing really amazing about this place. It’s pretty good. Back in LA, there are a lot of pizza places like these (Pieology, PizzaRev, etc). Blaze does offer more ingredients than some of these restaurants, so I’ll give them that.

Place is crazy good. Very addicting best quality of food in isla vista. Fresh quality food is hard to find around IV. This place is a GEM

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. My boyfriend and I both think they should make a location in SLO! It would annihilate the need for any other pizza place in San Luis. $ 8 for a «Build Your Own» Pizza with as many toppings as you’d like is unheard of where I’m from.
It tasted amazing, the employees were super helpful as we were first-​timers, and the prices were unbelievable. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make one in SLO! :)

This place is so damn good! They have a gluten free base so all of my party was happy. It’s fun to see it cooked in front of you and it’s really cheap. The service is great and you always leave here in a good mood. The outside seating is also quite nice. It’s not the most groundbreaking pizza in the world but for what it’s worth, it’s great. It also seems reasonably healthy too, not too greasy.

I agree that the quality of this establishment has declined, both in its food and customer service.
I have eaten at Blaze in IV multiple times and it seems to get worse. Jen N. is spot on in saying the crust is not unlike a tortilla. Also, the toppings are less generous and less generous the longer this place is open. I only had a good experience when it first opened.
The team members provide poor service. I asked one of them recently if he could recommend a particular pizza to me, and he refused to offer one, saying that he doesn’t know what kind of food I like. He could have at least suggested whatever seems popular.
Oftentimes, the team members do not clear the tables regularly, so you may be eating outside at a table with plates and trash from a previous guest.

I’ve had my fair share if Blaze pizza’s in LA, and although it’s not my favorite pizza place, this location doesn’t disappoint. The customer service is great, just like at any other Blaze, and I always enjoy the Build Your Own option. While topping the pizza, employees can seem a bit stingy, but I usually can’t finish more than half a pizza in one sitting anyway, cuz those toppings can build up! Plus they won’t hesitate to add more if you just ask:) The taste is decent, and I love the thin crust, I just wish the spicy marinara sauce was spicier: P Also, I can’t complain about the wait time. S’more pies are pretty great too, make sure they heat them up for you!

I wasn’t expecting this. I had briefly read through reviews, gone on their site and I thought it’d be another «persona neopolitan» (not even worthy of capitalization), but boy was I wrong.
Their customer service was amazing right off the bat. They were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout the ordering process.
I ordered my pizza with the gluten free crust (which they changed their gloves for), classic sauce, vegan cheese, pepperoni, sausage and pineapple.
It was extra for the gluten free crust and vegan cheese but it was certainly worth it. I usually have to take a bullet when I eat pizza because of my allergies to so many things :(but it felt so good waking up to a settled stomach this morning :)
The pizza overall had a good taste to it despite what others might assume based off of how I ordered it. The ingredients came together nicely and the crust was delicious.
Only thing I would suggest is filling up those couple of sauce spots with cheese on the pizza.
My temporary friend (it’s IV) got some regular type of pizza and I had of slice of it, which was really good too.
The toppings for the type of place that it is were really really good. They were all equally as good that I can’t pinpoint to one that I would strongly recommend because you can’t go wrong with any, really.
It was a Friday night but it wasn’t too busy, just steady traffic coming in and out. They have stool seating inside and patio tables outside. Their fountain drinks are the usual + blood orange and regular lemonades which are good enough to get the job done.
I was impressed by this place, it’s a hidden gem that is overlooked because of it being in Isla Vista. The options they offer (gluten-​free, vegan cheese) are above and beyond not only because they’re available, but because they’re super good too!
Just something I’d like to note. don’t come here if you’re expecting gourmet pizza obviously, but for the category that it falls into, it is the best of the best.
I must admit I did read a couple of «ehh» reviews, maybe I just got lucky and had everything go well with the service and quality of food that day, so I will definitely come back to test their consistency. But for now bravo Blaze Pizza, you remain capitalized.

Two Words: Tortilla Crust
Que paso? I used to go here all the time where I was provided with great service and a quality pizza (or two) #bulking #gainz.
This time, I received poor customer service and a mediocre pizza. Designing my own pizza seemed like a drag. The pizza artist was skimpy on toppings and the vegetables looked withered.
My pizza dough was very thin, like a tortilla. If I wanted a tortilla pizza, I would have made one myself (I have a great recipe) The ingredients were neither fresh nor flavorful.
Darn. I knew I should have gone to Freebirds…
I will probably wait a couple of months before going here, again.

Build-​Your-​Own-​Pizzas!
The Subway of Pizzas, but unlike Subway, when you ask for more, they are more than happy to give you extra. I stuffed my pizza like no other. There’s really no other way to do it.
So you go in, and you can choose from different pizzas or you can create your own. (Why would you not just create your own??) All the pizzas are the same price. Then you go and choose all the toppings you want (meat, veggies, cheese, sauce, etc.)
Then when you’re done, they throw it in the pizza oven and cook that baby away.
When it’s all done, don’t forget to ask for arugula on top. It gives it that much more flavor (and it’s veggies!).
