Papa John’s Pizza

Noooooo! They forgot the garlic sauce in my pizza! That’s the reason I order papa John’s…

I called and asked for delivery to my address. The guy said «Okay, yeah we can do that, I’ll have my manager override it.» So I ask for a special from the website (couldn’t order online because delivery needed an override). The guy tells me that it’s online carry-​out only. So I ask for the manager (who had approved said override for delivery) who proceeds to tell me I can get what I want for TWICE THE PRICE as delivery, or he would give it to me for just ONE DOLLAR less if I came to pick it up. I just hung up. POOR excuse for customer service. Poor. He told me he couldn’t send someone out to delivery my «carry-​out» order either because the «website is completely separate from the store», as if some special magnetic force would have stopped the delivery driver from putting my pizzas in his hands and getting in his car and bringing them to me. Oh, also, I always tip well! F**K YOU PAPA JOHNS!

And needless to say absolutely avoid this place during lunch hour!

Placed an order online and never received it. The driver couldn’t find my address and when I call him he’s telling me he’s lost and he’s going back to the store. I have had food delivered to my address 100 000 times and it was the first time something like that happened. I call the store, the guy who claims to be the owner hangs up on me!

Ordered on-​line which said 30 – 40 min delivery. 1:45 mins later I called to check on my order and the female who answered the phone was very rude! Unacceptable. There are plenty of pizza places downtown to order from, this is no longer a choice for me! Oh and when the pizza did arrive, it was cold… go figure!

Food is just like any other Papa John’s, so this review is for the service. The service was no bueno.
I placed an online order before they opened, because I needed pizzas delivered on a lunch break for a meeting at work. I have some pretty negative feelings about the online ordering system (no confirmation email, took awhile to be sent to the store, but since it’s not about this store specifically I’ll keep my peace.
Since I hadn’t received a confirmation email by the time the store opened, I called them to see if they had received it. The girl who answered the phone (Jasmine I think?) said «Well we’re not open yet. You have to call back when we open.» It must have been 9:59:59 and she told me to call back… So that put me off big time. I asked them to include napkins and plates, and I was assured «We do that with all our orders now».
I asked them to call me when my online order came through, and when I hadn’t heard from them by 10:45, I figured I wasn’t getting my pizza delivered. However, Jasmina called me back at 10 til and told me «Sorry I didn’t call, but the pizza is on it’s way.» Pizza was delivered 15 minutes late, which wouldn’t be a big deal if it was a home delivery, but it was for a lunch that started right at 11. Plus, no napkins or plates.
All in all, service was pretty poor.

When my family is in town and they want pizza, they want Papa Johns. Anyone that reads my reviews know that I love pizza any way you slice it. I have had problems with this location in the past, but the last three orders have been great. I wrote a pretty bad review that never made it to Unilocal.The district manager called me and gave me a free pie for my experience. I had a late /​cold pizza to make a long story short. Your delivery time may vary. The quality is pretty consistent with every Papa Johns I have had.
