Great little place for good food and great service. First time trying this place and as soon as we walked in, you could tell this was the place to go around Southport with the huge crowd that was already there around 10:30 A.M. on a Sunday. I believe I only saw a couple of tables open, only open because people were leaving then. So we get seated, and the hostess is totally accommodating since we have a carseat and helps move the booth for us to fit the carseat in the booth. Showed friendliness and caring right of the bat I understand it was really busy, but it took a little bit to see our waitress for the first time for drinks and ordering. Maybe she was tied up in the kitchen or running around the place to numerous tables. Not a big issue, just a little bit of a wait when they had like 10 waitresses and it’s nota huge place. Regardless, after ordering drinks and our meals, she was frequent with refilling coffee and our food must’ve come out in right around 10 minutes or so, so that was quite a feat considering the crowd. And it wasn’t that quickly-cooked don’t care how it’s cooked crap like most places do when they get a huge crowd at once. Food was great, service about as good as it could be considering all the people. I was satisfied and would come back again for sure.

We were Highly disappointed this morning! Normally we have a delicious dining experience. Today the food was bland… The bacon was chewy not crunchy, the extra crispy hash browns were greasy not crunchy!!! We won’t be back after today!!!

This place never disappoints! I love that it’s family owned and you can always see the family working hard behind the scenes. While I’m a creature of habit(I always get the omelets), my husband has ventured the menu and has gotten other selections like biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fried biscuits, etc… Very, very good! Big portions and a great place to cure a hangover ;)

This little Mom & Pop dinner is a Southside staple! When you’re looking to score some hot Amurican breakfast, this is where you gotta go. We meet some friends here for a Sunday brunch, and had a such a great time chatting over some breakfast favorites. Pros — Fresh food: Greek omelette and mini waffles for me, and a skillet for Rob — Friendly service: Hostess and server were all friendly and homey; like you’re at sometimes house. — Fast service: cusp were always filled and food was fast, fresh and delicious! — More booths than tables. Me likes. — Down home décor: like your grandma’s dining room. Cons — Too far south for me to visit on a regular basis. Sad face. — Unwelcoming exterior: it almost looks like the restaurant went out of business… but it didn’t! Don’t judge a book by its cover. Come hungry and leave happy!

They have another new item on their menu, Greek eggs Benedict. Poached eggs on top of a lamb Patty with fresh spinach and diced tomatoes topped with hollandaise sauce and crumbled feta cheese. This is served with hash browns. WOW.

Awesome place! Thank you Unilocal for the find. I had an omelette with egg whites, feta, pesto, sundried tomatoes and spinach. Others in my party ordered cinnamon French toast and pumpkin French toast. So good. And even though we came on a Saturday morning, the wait seemed short.

Really good omelette with a generous portion of crispy hash browns. Clean, bright and nice. I’d come back.

Good place for an easy breakfast. I got my order to go and was immediately bombarded at the door with the question, «How many in your party?» I was a little taken aback mainly because I had just woken up, but I was directed to their bar/take out section and ordered a Banana Bread French Toast to go. The service was fast and it probably was only a 10 minute wait and the food was delicious, though I didn’t finish it because it was a little too sweet for me. I’m only giving 4 stars because while I was waiting at the bar/take out section a waitress constantly was complaining about one of her co-workers who didn’t refill their milk/sugar containers. I totally understand that grief, but it is probably not best to badmouth coworkers in front of customers.

Good place for a standard breakfast. They have most of anything you might want on their breakfast menu. It’s close by my house, so it’s in a handy and convenient location.

So friendly! I love their wait staff. Plus, you also get to hear folks speak Greek and Spanish! The $ 2 coffee = free refills AND they will give you a 20 oz cup to go if you request it! So that’s worth it alone. The french toast is «meh», to be honest. Not egg-y enough for me and not my preference. The Breakfast Croissant is VERY good and I rec it with the bacon. I believe they said their croissants are homemade. The gyro is quite tasty and I appreciate the extra cup of tzakitki on the side, but the fries with it are not good(very much so freezer to fryer kind of deal). All items are HUGEPORTIONS and I can never eat my entire meal.

We celebrated our family easter breakfast here this morning. We had 58 people– arriving at 1030. Nicki and her staff reserved a good size area for us and had an amazing staff working so hard to get us in and out in a good time frame. The food was great and the staff was better. Thank you so much.

A solid place to visit on the weekends for breakfast. I’ve been here a few times and I always come away satisfied and with a little more money in my pocket than if I had gone someplace more expensive. I’ve been here a few times and have enjoyed their biscuits and gravy along with their omelets. It can get crowded during peak breakfast times which does lead to longer wait times, so plan for a longer stay. If you are in a rush, go someplace else. The service is generally good, but we did have a visit where the waitress seemed to have forgotten about us and getting water refills was difficult. Overall, the service is good.

I was in there on Sunday with six people. I didn’t realize how busy it would be and we almost left to go someplace else but I am so glad that we stayed!!! We were seated in about fifteen minutes. BEWARNED! If you are indecisive(like me) the menu is huge! Take the time to look through it because I was amazed at the wonderful selection. I had the west coast omelette with pancakes. The omelette was absolute perfection. Feta cheese, bacon, tomato, onion, and avocado. How can you go wrong!!? The saltiness of the feta was perfectly balance by the egg and avocado with the tomato and onion adding a wonderful savory end result. The pancakes are Devine. Normally I don’t really care for pancakes but these and the exception. They are light, fluffy, and taste like buttermilk heaven. I will absolutely be going back and I will drag anyone that I can in with me!

Go hungry! Big portions are served here. There was a wait on this Sunday just before noon. The line moved well and we were seated in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the meat lovers skillet with 2 pancakes. My husband had the French toast with sausage patties. The food was delivered in sufficient time. The food presented well & tasted great. I’d go back for the food alone. Our particular server, while friendly enough, wasn’t the swiftest. We were only drinking water and had to wait on refills. Not pleased with that part. She also didn’t come back to ask if our meal was okay which is a standard practice at most places. Maybe it was an off day, maybe it was the volume of people, I don’t know. Again I’d go back just for the food and maybe get lucky enough to have a better server.

We’ve only had breakfast but they always get the food exactly right. We order carry out and they are always very accommodating. Excellent waffles with toppings.

Check the department of health’s review of this place and save yourself from salmonella or some wretched disease. The foods okay but is it really worth it? Yuck I am not taking it down because it’s not false information– just because you fixed a problem doesn’t mean it wasn’t a problem at one time. Gnats, no thank you.

First of all, the food is always prepared well and good sized portions. That is a plus especially when you have teenagers or are super hungry. Secondly, the menu has a wide variety of regular and specialty items and you can get breakfast at any time. Thirdly– its family owned and majority of staff has been with them a while so they are good and also know their regular customers. The negative is that although the business is predictably busy during regular meal times and ESPECIALLY after the churches get out, the mgt team is sometimes unprepared. Instead of hanging around the register — go out and clear a table or walk with the coffee pot or brinng out the plates or talk to your customers. The faster we get taken care of the quicker you turn over your tables!

The cooks at this place are right on point. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries and boy was that wrap yummy. Order also came with a soup I choose the creamy potato which I wouldn’t order again it was under seasoned but overall food quality and taste wAs on point. Service on the other hand was poor. I believe server name was Maggie. She forgot to bring our drinks and was busy talking to her other waitress friends while they were on lunch.

So we drove from Mooresville to try a new place. And now we will be driving here more often. My husband was trying to decide between the breakfast burrito or a skillet. The waitress recommended a special that wasn’t on the menu but that she thought they should be able to do. It was a breakfast quesadilla with chorizo. My husband loved it, and I loved it. As a westerner I have tried and seen such things. But this was the best. Perhaps it’s because I couldn’t taste just the eggs. I am not a fan of eggy tastes.(no omelets, scrambled, etc) However this was cheesy, a tad greasy from the chorizo, and the hash browns sopped up the grease well. Not healthy, but oh so good and unexpected. I had the fresh strawberry crêpe with crème cheese. It was everything I could dream of. Reminds me of one I use to get in Colorado when I was young. Cream cheese was lightly sweetened, and strawberries were nicely thinly sliced. I would get either of our dishes again in a heartbeat. If these two things were so well done, I imagine the basic breakfast stuff is just as reliable. Everyone around seemed like regulars who enjoyed there stuff. I can’t wait to go back. It’s not fancy, in a not so nice looking strip mall lot, but the food made up for all of that.

Pass this place every Sunday on the way to church and this joint is packed kept telling myself I need to stop by and see what this place is all about. Take daughter to the Dentist on Tues no cavities so I ask her what she wants? Pancakes! Why not. She gets the mini pancakes and hashbrowns, I get the eggs over easy on an order of biscuits and gravy(my guilty pleasure). Order is quick, less than 10 minutes, place is clean, coffee cup is always filled. I read on the plate«Honest food at an honest price» I have to agree with that. Solid value. Two thumbs up.
