BEDBUGINFESTED! I would advise against anyone staying at this hotel to know that no matter what Mike Jones the General Manager says as he is a very shady person. I have in my possession plenty of pictures of more than one room that was infested with bed bugs along with several of my friend with over 100 bites that was with me during our visit Aug 20, 2015 to Aug 26th. My friend ended up having to go to the emergency room for treatment and she was promised that the bill would be paid in full now she calls me telling me now the bill has been turned over to collection today Jan 25, 2016. I’m in the process of starting a class action lawsuit against this establishment if it dosent act on its promises. Now Mike will comment below that he had all of our clothes dry cleaned at their expense, moved us to another infested room before finding a room that was semi clean but no bugs in the last room and says he refunded my friend for the stay but that will be an untrue statement as we filed a complaint with Southwest Vacations and they refunded my friend with an apology NOT Clarion Inn as he tells me. The owner has no care as long as she is scamming everyone out of their money to stay in a very unhealthy Hotel. When I wanted to talk to the owner about the issue she wanted nothing to do with me until I mentioned a lawsuit then she was full of all lies. If you encounter the same problem don’t hesitate to call the Marion County Health Dept. They have a special unit that deals with bedbugs their phone # is(317) 221‑2000. A ruined trip back home to visit my family due to this company and we are so far past the point now for any apologies! Also I personally seen and was approached by several prostitutes and their pimps while out smoking in the back lot telling me that they have the rooms if I had the cash and this was reported to the african american night desk person. But this was never brought up by me to Jones or the owner as their employee should have reported it to them. Ohhhh No! This is not this place to spend $ 1to stay. I live locally and went to get information. The person was rude and uneasonable! $ 181 for a room that was out dated plus a poor attitude equals no business. THEHOTELSMELLSLIKEWEED… Just took my family to Hampton down the street.

The hotel is a bit old. Nonetheless, the furnitures and the appliances in the room were OK. Breakfast was regularly fine. The location is convenient. The drawbacks were a slight unpleasant scent in the room, and the noise from the neighboring rooms. I recommend taking a room at the second floor. Got a deal of $ 80 per night for two nights, in this case it was worth the price.

Ok, so this wasn’t the worst hotel I have been to, but I would never go there again. When got to the hotel, waited for 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. We even tried calling from the phone in the lobby but no one answered. When the guy finally showed up, he was dripping with sweat which he kept licking from his upper lip and then our checkin took forever(said he couldn’t find the reservation my roommate had made). His reason for the wait was he was assisting another guest. Then perhaps only one person working at 6 pm on a Saturday night is not enough? The people waiting to checkin behind us were equally as grumpy about the wait and then the time it took. Got to our room and the minute we walked in there was a very strong smell which I would describe as musty. The air didn’t work through the night. They also only put 2 towels in a room which was explained to a member of our group that they don’t have enough for four per room. Problem is when you try to call to get more towels the one person working can never seem to answer and when you go to the front desk to try and get more you either have to hunt someone down who cant help you because they are busy at the moment or sometimes hear things like, «I can’t tell which ones are clean and which ones are dirty so I’ll need to wash them… come back in couple hours.» Which I guess is better than being given a dirty towel… The room also did not feel very clean, despite the GM claiming new carpet and new air conditioner. When my roommate tried to complain about our stay, we were offered a small discount along with a lot of excuses. And no, GM, the smell in the room was NOT from new carpet. Maybe it was gone after we checked out… Had we not had an entire team staying there, we would have found other accommodations. No one from our group was happy, and I would not recommend staying there to anyone.
