Not sure what all the bad reviews on here are for. My husband and I eat here every week. The food is always consistent, and the fish is always fresh. Is this authentic sushi? No. And if you think that’s what your getting for $ 10 a roll from a strip mall Japanese restaurant, something’s wrong with you. Never had bad service here; Never had a bad meal here. We’ve had just about everything on the menu from the tempura, udon, teriyaki chicken, and of course, lots and lots of sushi. Try the hot night roll, or the HB roll, my two favorites. Oh, and to those complaining that food comes out at different times, uh… yeah. A lot of sushi places do that. By the way, I used to live in Tokyo, so I’ve had the most authentic Japanese food you could get, and I still love this place, and will continue to come here every week.

Mixed feelings about Joy Sushi. The quality of the food is always good and consistent, which is sometimes a rarity among sushi restaurants. However, the other day I called to order my usual Rainbow roll and Philly roll and the price went up a total of $ 9. I asked them why and the response was, «Minimum Way went up.» I understand that prices need to increase to reflect the new wages but it doesn’t justify a $ 3 – 4 increase per roll. Have only had take out here so I cannot comment on the service/staff.

I like the sushi/tempura bento box and the staff is always friendly. My colleagues and I eat here a few times a month and it’s been consistently yummy!

Sushi is «ok». They put very small pieces of fish on their rolls. Not worth the price.

Well I wanted to support my local business owners, but I did not get any service. I walked in there and someone looked at me and went back into the kitchen. So i skimmed the menu and waited and waited and waited… They never came out to take my order, so I left and went to another such place right down the street. If you need time, say HELLO and let me know! You lost a customer!

I wont be visiting JOY Sushi again. The service was not what I look for in a restaurant. We were talked out of two dishes. The portions were blah for the money, with the exception of the cucumber salad, which should be shared between 3 – 4 people. The 3 of us left after spending $ 50.00 for what I would call a microwave dinner plate. My mistake for not sticking with sushi rolls. we tried living out side the box by ordering a couple bento boxes and Cajun tuna. NONONO — Thumbs down!

Not good service, not fresh food. After trying a few times, we will never come back.

WTF??? Anybody who gives this pace more than a single star for food quality clearly doesn’t know what sushi should taste like. This place is HORRIBLE. She talked me out of the Bento fish cutlets because she said it was still frozen. I took her word for it and went with the Albacore … it was microwaved!!! NOJOKE! BEWAREBEWAREBEWAREBEWAREBEWARE

Not impressed, too much mayo, I couldn’t finish since it was way too rich for me. They delivered food at different times. My kids loved the California rolls. The lunch specials seem to be a great value. They offer party platters. I probably will stick with my normal sushi place…

A favorite for hubby and I. They have daily specials(lunch and dinner) and it’s smart to choose one of those. This week I ordered the salmon tempura roll special, includes chicken teriyaki and a full salad. About $ 10!

I go here for the convenience factor not for the food quality or the customer service. I always do take-out and the place is almost always empty when I go in. The cashier/waitress is friendly and does her job pretty decently. The sushi is ok… nothing fantastic but not terrible either. I typically get the California roll & the Japanese burrito. From the way the two rolls are constructed I can tell there’s at least two different chefs in the back… one of the sushi chefs is a bit sloppy & the rolls don’t stay together as well. Like I said before I come here for the convenience, it’s not the food quality that brings me back. If you have a sushi craving, aren’t a sushi snob and are in the shopping center, this place is pretty decent for take out. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here though.

I’ve never paid more than $ 9 for a Philly roll. Theirs was $ 10.95. It tasted decent though. I also ordered a house salad and she brought me out mayonnaise as the dressing… ew. I did not eat that. My least favorite part was that the restaurant smelled like URINE. As a restaurant worker myself I could not understand how a restaurant could smell like this
