The food is pretty good, but the service is mediocre. I stood beside the counter for a good 5 minutes before I saw a staff member.

Love this place. Great Thai food and also amazing Lao food! Very authentic! I love their Lao Chicken Noodle Soup. The noodles are made in house and super fresh! If you love spicy, add some of the hot chili oil! That’ll give you a little kick in your soup. My favorite is the Beef Pad Se Ew! It’s so juicy and saucy. Not dry at all like some other Thai places are. Add some sriracha to it & it makes it perfect! The Thai tea and coffe are amazing! Has a stage and a bar for maybe private parties and reservations!

So, the food here is really good BUT the service is really really slow. Every time we come here to eat, which is rare, it takes forever for the waiter to bring out water, take our order, and bring out the food. Even though the food is really tasty and delicious, slow service is such a turn off. The waiter themselves are really nice but they aren’t as lively when super busy and they are lacking in waiters/chefs. Overall if you’re looking for good Thai food and is willing to wait for it, this place is the place to try. Honestly, I don’t come here unless there’s some kind of event going on. I prefer going to Anothai, another Thai restaurant scattered around Houston which serves delicious Thai food with much faster and friendly service.

The food here is legit Thai food. How would I know? Simple. My family lived in Thailand for four years. The food is great but there are a couple negatives about this place, namely: no soda refills, the service kinda sucks, and the time from order to serve is usually kind of long. These points keep this from being a 5 star rating. Otherwise, the prices and the genuine Thai cuisine are great.

I called in my orders since yesterday since it is a rather large order. Promised time was 12:00 pm. I walked in at 12:03 pm. I told I am here to pick up an order, their staff acknowledged me by saying that they will be with me in a minute. 10 minutes went by and no one attended to me. So I asked one of the guys who works here. He went to check on my order and coming back telling me that they have not yet made my order. This ticks me off. I should have gone to another restaurant. I won’t come back here again.

This place is rough. We walked in on Sunday afternoon and the place looked like a party had just finished. Dish carts were loaded and there were dirty tables waiting to be cleaned. There was no one available to seat us and we didn’t see anyone that worked there. We also smelled the great smells of the active tire shop next door. I can’t imagine what the food would taste like…

Everything we ordered today was soooo yummy! We ordered papaya salad, pad sa ew, beef larb, and we can’t go to a thai restaurant without ordering pad thai. We got the papaya salad and larb extra thai spice. If you can take some heat, that’s the way to order it! Everything was super flavorful, was not disappointed at all. Price is good compared to other thai restaurants we’ve been to. For the 4 dishes we’ve ordered, prices ranged from 6 dollars to 11. Not bad at all. We WILL be returning to try more dishes next time.

The outside from the street doesn’t look like much, but the inside of the place is really nice. The main reason I go here is for the authentic Laos and Thai food. They make dishes here that I cannot find anywhere else-for example«Lop» with beef. The server was friendly and fun to talk to. Sometimes when I am feeling like treating myself to great Asian food I go here. Highly recommended.

At first I was very skeptical about going to the place since is not located at the greatest side of town either. But decided to give it a try since my friend said it was very good and really quiet. Went parked there, noticed a tired shop. And got inside the place and looked really calm, clean and the tables where very organized. A server smiled and asked if it was only me, but I said I would have someone else showing up soon. He said I could seat anywhere I wanted and he was soon to ask if I needed a drink. I ended up choosing the green tea, and got to eat some of their special with fried rice and chicken and it came with a spring eggroll a wonton that had potatoes. And also a small salad. It was very good. And very cheap. Loved everything about it. Our waitress was very nice and would offer refills right away for the drinks . Will be bringing my husband soon.

I would give service 0 star if i could. The lady who took my order was mean. The food was okay. I got the pad thai and the papaya salad. The pad thai was a bit too sweet. The papaya salad was smelled like … dead fish. Seriously, i wouldn’t recommend to try the papaya salad if you cant stand with a strong fish paste. Anyways, the restaurant looked pretty nice and clean.

One of my co-workers suggested we come have some Thai food here, so off we went. Don’t let the area or the strip scare you away. It’s next door to an automotive/tire shop. The inside of the restaurant is clean and there is plenty of tables. We arrived right when they opened and it was just the 4 of us. Their lunch menu has a decent amount of specials to choose from. It came with soup to start, which was really good, I believe it was tom yum broth with some veggies and chicken. My entrée came with an egg roll, cream cheese wonton and side salad and steam rice. I ordered the basil chicken, came with lots of veggies. It was a little to sweet for me because of the sauce and not enough kick to it. I would have preferred it to be a bit spicier. My co-worker ordered one of the curry and she asked them to make it spicy but from what she said it wasn’t really that spicy. The Thai tea looked good, came in a nice size glass. Although I didn’t really care for the lunch dish I ordered today I will return i the future to try out some of their other dishes. We had two male servers, both attentive and our food came out fairly quick.

When the old owner was still there, they use to serve unlimited Thai tea. To bad they don’t have that anymore. Well it’s a very nice open place when you walk in. However, the location is really really bad. We ordered our food and when it finally came out after waiting 35 – 40 mins, it didn’t taste the same as it use to. Also the service was very very bad. They didn’t have plates and utensils out even when the food came out. And they forgot to serve us a dish we ordered. The food isn’t that great and the service was awful. HOWEVER I DOLOVETHEIRFRIEDRICE. It has so much flavor. That’s why I gave it 3 stars. But that’s the only reason.

We ordered vegetable spring rolls, duck green curry, Tom kha, tofu vegetable mixed stir fry and papaya salad… It’s pretty awful. Customer service: 0. Food: 0.5. So you pick your poison. Asked for one vegan dish, came out with chicken. Rice overlooked with water. Lady that served was really ignorant. There were only 4 people in the whole place at 8 in a Saturday. Of course I won’t be back. And wouldn’t recommend either.

Really good thai food. If you are looking for a lot of food for lunch and a great price of 7.00 come here. Staff is really friendly. One of the sisters used to work at ano thai on louetta. I got the cashew chicken and it was excellent! The lunch special comes with white rixe, fried spring roll, hot soup and some sort of crab puff for 7.00 o and I forgot a nice side salad too! Don’t let the outside fool you. This is good stuff #

I’ve never really had Thai food. I have had curry. I never realized I could get good curry at a Thai place. We went for lunch. I had the yellow curry with pork. The curry was awesome. For the lunch special you also get a fried wonton, an egg roll, a small salad, and rice. When we had questions, our server was really good at answering everything. She was also funny. I’m going to start with four stars knowing I’ll be back to try more very soon

Ordered Pad Thai with spring rolls with shrimp and chicken. Pad Thai was mushy with hardly any meat in it. Spring rolls had some soy sauce to dip it in(not peanut sauce) with chopped peanuts floating on top. Rolls were hot, which was a first for me on this… Order took almost 45 minutes to be brought out, and it was not busy during the lunch hour. Seemed a bit unorganized. Would I come here again… probably not. Shame, because there are hardly any pad thai restaurants in the area. :(

I was a little confused at first because I was looking for Thai Xpress. Checking the address after Mapquest directed me a little further than it should have, I found Thai Orchid. When I walked in, I asked someone who came out of the kitchen if this was what used to be Thai Xpress. She replied yes but with new management. A great family business under new leadership. Got to love legacy businesses! I liked the outline of their menu because it showed all of the options for meals and, at the top of the page, showed prices with Tofu, Beef, Chicken, etc. They gave me a lot of food for the price. I got a soup, small salad im a jello cup, a spring roll, a wonton with some potato-ish substance inside, Tofu on mixed vegetables and broccoli, and white rice. It was a delicious meal! My waitress was nice although stoic. My plate came out pretty quickly — about 5 mins. I recommend this place to anyone in the area! Thanks for the suggestion, Unilocal! I only give them four stars because I didn’t get the feel I get at five star restaurants I rate. Prettt good stuff though!
