I would not give this place more than 2 stars for the following reasons: 1) hard to find parking spot. 2). The foods are not that great. One of our friends called the Wednesday’s special which is steak and It took them 3 times to cook the steak right(medium rare) and it has no flavor whatsoever. We also called burgers and they came out with no lettuce or tomato. For the same price($ 8), you can get a better hamburger at Fuddrucker. 3). The service was terrible. The place was not that crowded but we have to remind the waitress server all times for our foods. We asked for another bucket of beer and the waitress brought it out, slammed it on the table and did not even bother to take the empty bucket away. Will NEVER go back there again!!!

Pros: Great location, decent parking, dog-friendly patio, games, lots of tvs, some good food items. Cons: Horrible service. Our last visit was particularly awful. The patio singer was way too loud for conversation(which I guess is fine if you’re there for the music). The outside area literally smelled like sewage– no idea why. We sat down and ordered a pitcher of beer– nothing complicated: just Coors. We actually ended up leaving after sitting around for 45 minutes. We never saw our waitress again– we didn’t even have a chance to order food. My friend actually went inside to cancel the drinks so we could go leave. Bonus crawfish review: this place has mediocre crawfish. They coat the outside of the crawfish with seasoning. The shells were a bit harder to peel, overcooked. On the plus side, they have mushrooms, which many places don’t do. It’s a decent price with their crawfish/drink special. I’m hoping this place hires better wait-staff, this place has potential to be a good spot to watch sports with the pup.

I was over changed on my bill, my signed bill said $ 19 and they charged me $ 27.06 on my credit card along with 2 other transactions of $ 30+ and $ 40+ that were not authorized. I would never spend my money here again, let alone give them a credit card to hold.

Yesterday, my company hosted a large group happy hour(roughly 50 – 75 people) at Luke’s. I thought the staff was very accommodating, friendly, and they had plenty of reserved space for us to chat and mingle on the patio outside. Like most places in Houston, it gets crowded around Happy Hour, and you should try to carpool because parking is limited. Overall — would recommend this place, especially if the weather is nice outside(if it rains, they had tarps that could be placed down to keep it from ruining your event). The drinks– I wanted a glass of scotch, and one of the waitresses showed me a pretty cool tablet that had a list of their inventory. After I ordered one of the selections she demonstrated on the tablet, she had to come back and tell me, «Actually– we don’t have that!» So while it was a nice idea, I was disappointed and went with something else. Otherwise, they have Dos Equis on draft, so I’m a fan. The food– Our group only ordered off the appetizers(chips and salsa, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, etc.). These appetizers were average quality and quantity, and I probably would not order any of them again. I would have liked to try out their burgers or other entrée items that Unilocalers recommend; perhaps I’ll be back for that!

The food was amazing. The burger is really good. The wings are really good but they are not jumbo by any means. The service was terrible from the waiter. The bar tender noticed how we went for 20 mins with no attention and took our order from the bar. If you sit at the bar then you will be okay. If you sit at a table, just hope the waiter is attentive.

Luke’s definitely a cool and chill spot to watch spots, grab a burger and a beer. I came here once to watch a Texans game and liked how the staff supported them! #gotexans. I had a burger and a cider and they both were pretty good. A good amount of tv’s and sound made my game viewing enjoyable. Great place for sports fan.

I tried out Luke’s for the first time for Geeks Who Drink(trivia) with some coworkers! And it’s a pretty cool/chill bar. Big indoor area, lots of outdoor patio tables. Cheap drinks(including buckets of beer — which is what we got), and food(typical bar food — wings, appetizer plate, that sort of thing — although one of my coworkers got a SALAD). It’s a bit loud for trivia — we had to ask him several times to speak up, but all in all, it was a fun, casual bar for a night out.(Parking isn’t great, but they had a parking attendant there that told me that it was okay to park behind the pawn store next door.)

I’m actually surprised this place has more than a 2 star average, considering the experience we had. 1 star reviews are pretty rare for me, so when I give one, be assured it’s well deserved. We sat at one of the outdoor tables and saw many tables with empty beer bottles /glasses, stay un cleared for hours. Including the one we eventually decided to sit at since all the others were just as bad. No waitress service outside so we went inside to the bar to get drinks. That’s where it got really fun… Asked bartender for 2 pitchers for our group of 6. She asked for id, which fine I understand that(even though we had already ordered 3 pitchers for our group, prior to that). She then asked for id’s for everyone in our group, which seemed odd but whatever. She followed us outside and went around the table looking at id’s. All good there. We follow her back inside and wait at the bar for our pitchers. Guess what? They never came. After waiting for a long time and watching that bartender serve multiple other customers, we flagged down another and asked for pitchers. She started to ask for all the id’s yet again until we finally convinced her we just went through this whole process. Asked to close out the check. Nope never happened. Went back up to close out again and it took 5−10min at least to get their attention(and it wasn’t even busy) Horrible bartenders. Would not recommend ever coming here. also the bathrooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in at least a day. Trash everywhere and toilets looked horrible.

We come here after our games with HSSC and it’s such a relaxing atmosphere on the patio. They have 2-for-1 burger nights on Thursday and the Luke’s Burger is pretty phenomenal. The managers here are really welcoming as well. Overall, very mellow place for a relaxing night of beer and some good food.

My husband and I came here to win rodeo tickets from 100.3 The Bull but didn’t win. However we got free beers but not in a good way! We opened a tab with a bar tender on my card and I order two budlights for us, she asked if we were together on the tab and we said yes. We went back to her several times for more beers, totally 6 b/w us both. He ordered on my tab all those times, from her. When it came time to close out our tab my husband went to close out and I ran to the restroom, I come back and the waitress is yelling and putting her finger in his face telling him«I didn’t open a tab with you, I opened it with him!» Poking me in my chest multiple times! My husband said, first off get your finger out of my face and don’t be poking my husband like that! She stormed off talking trash about us to other staff members and never brought us our ticket! My husband said when I was in the bathroom he asked another waitress at the bar for our tab with the girl we opened with, that girl went to our waitress but came back and said she doesn’t have your ticket and didn’t open with you. My husband said, yes it was her! That’s when I came up and she got in my husbands face. We asked to speak to a manger, he was very cooperative. He looked for our tab but it was not in their system as closed or open. He said, don’t worry about guys, I’ll take care of it and I’m sorry she disrespected you both and put her hands on you. He said, I open you guys come back and visit us again. Most likely we won’t since it’s not our kind of place and didn’t have a welcoming feeling before any of this happened. They had a great happy hour special though, $ 2.50 domestic bottles!

Wednesday — steak night. It was surprisingly tasty. I didn’t expect much from this place. It looks like just another bar, but the steak had great flavor and it came with wedges or a baked potato. I had a taste of both the baked potato and the wedges, and they both went well the the steak. The service was quick, and she even mentioned the drink specials that night without having to ask what they had going on that night.

I had to put in a couple extra hours at the office on a Friday unfortunately so I ended up getting some takeout and bringing it back to work. Luke’s Icehouse is within walking distance so I made my second trip over. I had been to Luke’s one before for drinks with my buddy from Austin and had a good time there. It’s a casual sports bar with a nice patio, reminds me a lot of Little Woodrow’s. They have a decent beer selection and some lookers working behind the bar. Foodwise, I found out they have a pretty awesome deal going on Thursday’s: 2 for 1 burgers. Cheap meal if you have a partner in crime. They also have other drink/food specials going on throughout the week but this one stood out to me. I went with the semi-healthy option of a grilled chicken sandwich with steak fries. The sandwich is served on a sweet bun with swiss cheese with lettuce, tomato, and pickles served on the side. Solid all around. If you’re looking for something else, it’s standard bar fare: burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc.

Fun place, good atmosphere. Geeks Who Drink on Tuesdays is a lot of fun. The quesadilla is amazing but the beer prices could be just a tad lower. One of my favorite week day spots in Houston!

I’ll give this place three stars for now, because I didn’t feel that I’ve experienced everything there is, just yet. The service was great and very timely compared to other places I’ve been to. I went for trivia night which was nice, considering the winners get gift cards and that the questions are pleasantly challenging. The best part about the place was the root beer beer. You heard me right Root Beer flavored beer. If you don’t really drink, this stuff’s for you. Parking was kind of shoddy, because the lot was more full than the bar, but that is normal for places near Washington Ave.

Great place for happy hour! Came on a Tuesday for Trivia night and had a blast — teams of 6, gift cards for the top 3 teams, bonus questions for free beer. They have a cozy patio with corn hole and a larger gated patio area that had corn hole but I know other nights they have dodge ball. Food is pretty good for a bar! Solid chicken sandwich and the salsa is nice and spicy!

Food is okay. Service is extremely slow. We continue to come here since they sponsor our sporting leagues. Our team of 16 — is considering to stop coming here week after week. Management needs to talk to servers to actual round the tables. As of this writing, on this occasion we have been here for 26 minutes with no one here yet and multiple folks have gone inside and been told someone is coming.

You’re better off going to Cedar Creek. Okay, this is all hip and all, they have competitions, trivia, etc, but there are so many things wrong. I wasn’t all that impressed with the beer selection. There were like only two IPA’s. Come on, guys. The same went for food. I wanted the black bean burger to split with my partner in crime. Nope! It’s not even available anymore, and yet it is on the menu! I will give them credit for some solid wings and the steak fries are good(a basket of fries though should come with more). Don’t come here for trivia. There are better spots in Montrose. If you decide to sit outside for trivia, you will not hear nor understand anything being said. It can get a little loud, so playing outside is pointless. Parking? A nightmare. Good luck with that. You can circle the main lot like a vulture, which is limited to 20 – 30 spots. Odds are likely you’re parking in one of the neighborhoods(with the unclear signs about a permit and odd times) or on a side-street by the bar. The myst, ceiling fans, etc, are all cool, especially with outdoor seating. However, you can do better. Will you be angry? No. Disappointed? Yes. That’s because it could have been so much more based on its potential. One visit is enough. Service was friendly but just okay. Again, emphasis on parking: terrible.

I love Luke’s! For an icehouse, they really do have one of the best burgers in Houston! I don’t think many people realize it, or I think they would be talked about more! Other than their burgers, I really enjoy their buffalo tenders. The only thing I really did not care for was their brunch. Will never order brunch from here again. Just stick with their regular menu, and you won’t do wrong! Atmosphere is awesome as well — a nice chill, go with a group, bring your dog, type of atmosphere. Perfect for the Heights!

I could see coming here to watch a game or with a group of friends, but not so much to eat. We came here for lunch and their food was just OK. Service was a little slow. Price was about average for the neighborhood. I was able to bring my dog which is always an extra star in my review. I think they have pedal parties from this location as we witnessed a tour group taking off behind our outdoor seating. Didn’t go inside since I had my dog but there is a wrap around deck. Reminded me of a bar that would be in Galveston. I might go back here for a drink and to watch a Texan’s game.

Went there on a Friday night to watch a Rockets playoff game. It was pretty full, but we were able to get a table. It took about 30 minutes to get a server so we got our first bucket at the bar. Buckets were overpriced(26 bucks for XX). I had the mushroom Swiss burger which was dry, the jalapeño bottle caps it came with were good though. My smokin hit girlfriend had the buffalo chicken strips which were small and dry/burnt. Another friend had the machines which weren’t any better. The place cleared out after the game. I would expect/hope it would be a better experience on a different night, but I pea ably won’t give it another try.

Little pricey. Only good food I have found is the nacho’s. Crawfish is okay during the season. Very nice patio, dog friendly. Good place to watch Kentucky sports but Kentucky fans don’t get any discount which is odd. You’ll find lots of people out for HSSC cornhole & dodgeball league.

I’ve been to Luke’s in both Beaumont and Houston and this company never disappoints. Great sports bar that will instantly bring you back to your college days. They offers specials for participants of Houston Sports and Social Club. My team and I would come here every Thursday after flag football and get the 2 for 1 burgers(so delicious). The service is always friendly and timely, you really can’t go wrong here. Daily specials include: Monday — Monday Blues $ 3 Domestics, $ 5 wells, ½ off nachos Tuesday — Tacos & Geeks $ 2 tacos, $ 3 Mexican beers, $ 4 tequila shots, $ 6 Corona/Dos Equis Rita’s Wednesday — Steak Night $ 12.99 ribeye + $ 2PBR/Lone Star Thursday — 2 for 1 burger night Friday — Happiest Hour $ 1 beer/wells Sunday — Hangover brunch + Crawfish 2 lbs crawfish $ 15(add a pitcher of Miller Lite for $ 19)

On the surface, Luke’s ice house looks like it could be a five star joint. It has it all: plenty of tables inside and outside, two bars, daily specials, cute barmaids, sports on TV, loud music, good food, parking, etc. Everything is good here, except for the service. I don’t ask for much, just for my order to be taken when I’m ready and a newly served drink when my glass runs empty… in a timely manner. Those cute barmaids can be moody and not as attentive as you’d like. This is a good neighborhood spot for lunch and a drink. Absolutely any day is a good day to come imbibe with friends. I like the buffalo chicken sandwich and tenders here. The not-so-hot sauce is still pretty damn hot. The side salad is yummy, but the cheese fries will satisfy that devilish craving. Steak night is worth a try. Service just means very much to me. If it was on point, this place would be more than average.

Super cool place with a great country vibe… but being from Georgia, I can tell you the«country» vibe here is more of a Southeastern country vibe rather than country western(despite their big Texas logo) due to the playing of pop country music as opposed to Texas country/western and no ones walking around in boots or cowboy hats. It’s a sports bar so everyone’s super laid back They also have a dodgeball court which is SUPER cool.

Lukes Ice House is a cool spot. I like the layout of the place with plenty of tables, lots of bar space and TV’s everywhere. There’s even a cool lounge area with sofas. No TV’s over there though. As sports bar go Lukes is a pretty good place to watch the game. The screens are big, everything is in HD, the drinks are cold, and the service was great. The food was just ok. Typical sports bar food where most everything comes out of a bag frozen into the deep fryer. They do get creative with their burgers though and they have specials like steak night on Wednesdays. I’ll definitely be back.
