This is a clean place to eat at. The staff is friendly and quick to correct a mistake in the order. I have eaten here a few times and it’s a pretty good place to eat at.

I have been going to many JCI in my lifetime and decided to come to this one during work lunch, my goodness this is by far the best one I’ve ever been to! ALL of the employees just made my day with how nice they were. Highly recommend here!

Visited on Wednesday night. Ordered the Juicy Lucy cheeseburger and tater tots. The wait was a little long but that was because it was made to order. I also ordered tea. It was a nice surprise to see several flavored of freshly brewed tea. When I got my cheeseburger, I really enjoyed it. It was worth the little while it took. I do have to say that the manager did communicate about the min it would take for the burger. Burger meat was Nolan Ryan ground beef. It was fresh. Cooked perfectly and very hot and juicy. Will return to try other items. Nice new look to the place by the way.

No forks. Food was decent. Was why we expect nothing extraordinary. Was 30 mins before closing but still had to eat with spoon.

My daughter went to get us dinner tonight of 2 Hot Dogs New York Style and one large coke, and one Philly Cheese Steak Hot Dog at James Coney Island in Copperfield at FM529 and Hwy 6. When she placed her order the people at the drive through over charged her for Chili Cheese Fries that she did not order to beginning with. However, when she got home she realized they did not put in the Philly Cheese Steak and although they charged her for Chili Cheese Fries(she did not order to start with), they too were not in the bag. So, she said no problem Momma I will go back up there and I am sure they will be nice and correct it. So, I politely called them to let them know what happened and that my daughter was on her way back up there. A Manager by the name of Diana Ursin got on the phone and said that she remembered that order and that she was sure that everything was in the bag, and I told her that no it was not we were missing 1 Philly Cheese Steak and that although we never ordered chili cheese fries that they charged us for them anyway and refused to put them in the bag as well. And, that if she could just replace what we paid for, but didn’t get that would be great. Instead this Manger Diana Ursine started yelling at me over the phone and continued to say that she knew everything was there which is wasn’t. She agreed to replace the Philly Cheese Dog and give us the Chili Cheese Fries we paid for, but never received and didn’t want to start with but since we paid for them we should get them. So, for the second time, my daughter goes back up there and this Manager Diana Ursin gives her the Philly Cheese Dog and does not give her the Chili Cheese Fries we paid for after she told me she would give them to her over the phone. Then, my daughter leaves again coming home, and Manager Diana Ursin who must have caller ID calls my house screaming at me about how they get all their orders right. And, went on and on. I told her as soon as my daughter got home, I would be back up there. Now mind you, by this time we have made 3 count them 3 trips to JCI for an over priced Hot Dog. So, I got up there, and the food order is very cold and soggy at this point, and she is still refusing to give me the chili cheese fries she charged me for that I did not want or order to begin with. So, I made her refund my money for the entire meal, and told her I wanted her name and her District Manager’s name. She said his name was Carlos something and could not remember his last name nor could she spell it imagine that. Well apparently the lady can’t get orders right, she can’t count, and now doesn’t know her District Manager’s name. And, she didn’t have a name tag on like everyone else. Does it get any more incompetent than that? And, James Coney Island wonders why they are loosing business. If they keep hiring people like Manager Diana Ursin your whole business will go down hill. Plus she has no business being in Customer Service and calling people at their homes and screaming at them after a call has ended. Lets just hope her District Manager has more sense than she does. I could understand this is it was a younger kid learning the job or something, but this was a 50 year old woman or so. By, at that age you should be trained on customer service and filling orders correctly. And, if an employee makes a mistake own up to it and fix it for Christ sake. This should have been a simple fix.

The service is usually good and food is great. They have great sides. I’m generally not a big fan of hotdogs. So when I’m craving junk/comfort food I order frito pie, their tots with bacon and cheese, chili cheese fries, corn dogs… All that stuff is always good here. The few dogs I have tried have been good as well.

Follow up to review: I took my food back to the Coney Island Sunday and explained to the manager that the food wasn’t good. Not only did she give me a full refund, she remade the order. Delicious chili dogs! Thanks Coney for redeeming yourself. Retrain some of your staff though. They’ve got marvelous potential.

Said they«weren’t doing onion rings today»??? What!!! That’s the main reason I went and didn’t get to have onion rings. The drive-thru menu is unorganized… need to offer more combos only saw two.

It’s a hot dog fast food restaurant, so I had incredibly low hopes. The girl at the counter was patient while I read the entire menu, and my food was pretty good. I did feel like taking a nap afterwards, but what do you expect? I’m not wild about liquid cheese like they put on the french fries. It’s incredibly low quality, so I’m going to pass on it next time. Hint: they have Delaware Punch, but only if you ask! :)

I haven’t been to a James Coney Island since the late 70s until I saw this one. There was no passing it up! Outside was very clean. Ordered«The Houstonian» and boy was I happy with that one. Two chili dogs with fries and a drink for about 7 bucks. Tasted just the same as it did years ago and I’m going back on my way out of town! Definitely recommend. This place created so many memories for me as a child and it still lives up to its name all these years later. Go! Now!

Ok, this is not coney island but will do when you need a hot dog fix. Suggestion– when you put sauerkraut on a bun drain it please so my bread isn’t gushy.

Just had their Frito pie and I was really impressed. It was created perfectly with just the right amount of chili, beans, onions, cheese, and of course Fritos. If you haven’t tried it yet, try it.

The service was terrible one time I went here. The other time it was fine. Must be certain shifts. They all hid in the back trying to pretend we didn’t exist. The food? its good. Kinda pricey for a hotdog in my opinion. I mean, this is rejected meat! Not that hotdogs are bad, its just that they should be cheap.

I will go here for the staff alone. The food is good, read the other reviews for the food. I went in with a friend of mine and the manager knew his name and who he was. The manager introduced himself to me and was genuienly interested in who I was. My friend explained how the manager met him and knew who he was after visiting once or twice. The manager knew half of the other guests in the restraunt. The staff continuously walk around and check on you, aside from ordering at the counter, I was given full service. This place feels like a mom and pop restraunt, the homiest chain I ahve ever been to.

Only reason to stop here is because the kiddos like the .99 dogs on sundays. To me it’s just more processed crap with a high sat fat chili cheese sauce. I guess it’s ok for them to eat this every once and awhile… once a month lol.

Decent food, cheap, but often a little slow on getting orders out. But main problem is that my order is rarely done correctly the first time

This is about as good as «fast food» gets. If you haven’t had a Coney dog, you are SO missing out! I’m not a big fan of hot dogs but this is the ONE! Chili, cheese, lots of onion and OMG it melts in your mouth! They have so many choices in hot dogs – Chicago Style, Texas style, and even a healthy hot dog. The Frito pies are to die for and my kids love their corn dogs. You can choose between fries and tator tots. I go for the tator tots for maximum ketchup usage, LOL! The best part of this chain is that they have staff that comes around to clear your plates and see if you need drink refills. I’ve had this service at every one of their locations. Drop your plate? Spill your drink? Get something on your dog you didn’t realize you needed to tell them to leave off? They have no problem and provide excellent service to make sure you are happy. This is what sets them apart from other«fast food» restaurants and makes me proud that they are in my home town. Oh, I almost forgot. If you like their chili, you can get it in frozen blocks for something like $ 3.50 to take home!

If you’re looking for a Hot Dog in Houston, there is no better place to go for one that is fast and cheap. James Coney Island has perfected the chain all around Houston. This Copperfield location is no exception. If you’re looking for something other than Hot dogs, you can also get a Hamburger or corn dogs but this place place is all about the dog. You also have the option of ordering your dog Texas, New York or Chicago style. I personally prefer an all beef dog Texas style(Chili without the cheese) with a side of tots and the laughable Diet Coke to finish it off. I mean, seriously, who am I kidding — I’m eating a hot dog and tots… The original location is still the best place to go but if you can’t get out that way, you may be able to find one in your area. James Coney Island is a great Houston tradition. Coney Size It for 49 cents. Yum.
