First time visit and will not be coming back. Horrible customer service. Our rude waitress would take half of our order cut you off to go answer the phone and later come back to finish taking the order. Food was nothing special. It had no flavor.

I stopped in for lunch and had a great experience! To start off, the wonton soup was definitely tasty and service was pretty fast. I ordered the garlic sauce with shrimp and fried rice lunch special and it was fantastic! Good size portion and everything tasted perfect down to the spring roll. All seemed very fresh as well. They even offer a drink to go. I will definitely be back soon! Great place to go and highly recommended!

Phenomenal Chinese considering the location and what is available– the general tso and Kung pao chicken are flavorful and my wife thoroughly enjoys the combination fried rice. We mostly order for pick up and the staff is always courteous and fast. Have tried most other locations in town… beats the competition by far.

Food is okay not great. It’s quick and cheap. The dining area could stand a bit of a makeover. Looks pretty ratty inside but other than that, it’s okay.

It’s mediocre at best. Their fried rice is nothing to swoon over. It didn’t have flavor, super dry and half uncooked. The only good thing in it was the shrimp, the 3 that they put in there were big!

Chinese food that is typical. In this case I wish I just went to a buffet. The servings were generous don’t get me wrong, but taste didn’t reach my tastebuds or at least wake them up. I wasn’t impressed and if the wonton soup isn’t good it’s a deal breaker. Well if you don’t try it you won’t ever know. I only gave them three because the lady spoke English on the phone which is a plus because it’s easier to communicate the order. Also the delivery was quick. I will say this minimum is $ 15 to deliver. Kind of pricey compared to other places I like much better so I won’t be ordering from here for delivery possibly just the crab ragoons which were tasty. Another note the food was lukewarm upon arrival and i ordered at the time they opened. Oh well.

Hands down the THEBEST Chinese food in Katy! My personal fav is the sesame chicken. It is fantastic! I have never been able to find the same quality of service and taste in food as Green Garden in another Chinese restaurant. And they delivery! Huge bonus. I recommend to everyone! Happy eating! :)

50 minute delivery turned into 90… Food was lukewarm, and there were no condiments, napkins or fortune cookies. Beef in orange beef dish was really bad but the General Tso’s chicken was good. We won’t be repeat customers, sorry.

The food was fabulous. The chicken was very fresh. The crab puffs have lots of stuff in them. Not just cream cheese. The girls love the egg drop soup with extra eggs also. I loved the orange chicken and my husband liked the Generals Tso’s.

I decided to try this place after finding it on urban spoon. There it listed it as a $ restaurant. I ordered lemon chicken dinner & sweet & sour chicken with an order of steamed pork dumplings. $ 30.02…not so cheap after all. Food arrived quickly. Then there was the food… the dumplings & it’s sauce was great! The same can’t be said for the rest. The lemon sauce was watery and bland with hardly a hint of lemon flavor, the fried rice was greasy, I could not eat anymore

Ventured over for lunch one day thinking I could maintain my standard lunchtime savvyness by grabbing a lunch special. Somehow my Mongolian chicken lunch special came to be just under $ 8 with no drink but the lady at the counter was super excited about my order as she professed that the dish was her favorite. I didn’t end up getting the eggroll that was supposed to come with the meal but I have the feeling I wasn’t missing much. Mongolian sauce had a distinctly burnt gravy flavor mixed with… grease… whomp whomp. It also came with a high onion to meat ratio but I scarfed it down as I was starving. Just made a mental note that I didn’t think I’d be returning again for a lunch time struggle meal.

I am officially repulsed!!! It’s our son’s first day of first grade so we ordered his favorite for dinner on the way home from work. Chicken Flat Rice Noodles no veggies(Chow fun) from Green Garden along with a few other various entrees. It’s the same order we’ve placed every week to ten days for the last year and a half. We were repeat customers to say the least. Not anymore. Got home and eagerly opened the bag only to find two orders of chicken fried rice instead of the Chow Fun.. . What? My husband called to let them know of the mistake and ask for the right dish to be delivered. First he was told it would be over an hour for delivery because they were backlogged and we should come back and pick it up… Now it’s rush hour on the first day of school. It will take a half hour to 45 minutes just to get to them and back. That is why we picked it up on the way home from work. When we insisted that it be delivered in a timely fashion or we wanted our money back the lady starts arguing that she repeated the order back. Not only had she repeated it back correctly we order THESAMEFOOD every time. It’s a pretty specific order and they generally know us by our area code. After five more minutes of arguing and her refusal to refund our money she agrees to get the dish here within the hour. Then she drops the bomb… We are to give the two extra chicken fried rice BACKTOTHEDRIVER??? WTF?! Now I have no plans to eat them but really? I have never heard of a restaurant asking for their food back when it was made incorrectly. Let alone after it’s been taken to the person’s house and opened. What on earth are they going to do with it? At the disturbing thought of them delivering it to someone else my appetite for Chinese has disappeared. Also I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to ask for it back. That must be a health violation. Needless to say we won’t be having Chinese for dinner and we’ll never be having Green Garden again. It’s all for the best I suppose as they’ve been getting pretty lazy with their cuts of meat and quality of take out.

Located in a strip center next to Starbucks. Its a small restaurant with about 10 tables. Looks like a family owned restaurant. Lunch menu price range varied from $ 6 – 7.95 and comes with a small cup of soup of your choice between egg drop, wonton, and hot and sour along w egg roll and choice of fried rice or steamed. I tried the orange chicken and came in 5 huge chunks. I like the fact that it wasnt heavily battered like other places and that it contained a good amount of chicken but other than that, its your average chinese food. Service was ok. The lady did seem a bit in a rush since it was lunch hour.

If good Chinese food was Grade A heroine, this place would be a methadone clinic. It kinda satisfies a craving but is nowhere near euphoric. The only reason I come to this place is because it’s close to my work. Lunch special is priced ok and the soups are pretty good though the wonton wrappers are very thick and chewy, borderline gross. I like that they serve free ice tea for lunch, but you have to ask for the free tea. The food tends to be on the salty side and nothing about the place makes we wanna come back, other than it happens to be close to work, it’s fairly cheap and my DNA seems to require me to consume Chinese food every now and then. The staff are usually very nice and I’ve yet to have a bad experience. I’ve had stuff off the regular menu as well and it’s generally better than the lunch menu but hardly anything spectacular or noteworthy. As much as I hate to say it, Panda Express has better flavors. T Jin’s and China Cottage are much better for authentic Chinese.

I can honestly say I won’t return to this restaurant. Small strip center restaurant with a flat screen tv & it was clean. The waitress was friendly even though she went in & out the restaurant constantly with no trip to the sink upon return. I ordered the free tea that accompanies lunch entrees, general tso’s chicken, and hot & sour soup. Let me just say, the general would not be proud. It was soft, sauteed/stir fry tasting and the«spicy» was in the form of jalapeños which was strange. Looked like white meat so that’s a plus but that was negated by the fact that it didn’t taste good. The portion size was adequate but indeed smaller than you’d normally get at chinese flair. The soup was good as well as the fried wontons that accompanied it. Normally after a lackluster meal I’d return and try another dish but while I was waiting for my entrée, one of the cooks came out the kitchen and engaged the ladies in conversation. He was dirty looking, playing with his phone, wiping sweat off his head and later had the nerve to be picking his nose. Talk about gross. I felt bad for the guy who called in a $ 65 order when he went in the kitchen to cook it. He returned to the stove toooooo quick, I don’t think any soap and water was involved. Yuck!
