If Purgatory had a hotel, this would be it. Short version: It sucks and it ain’t cheap. One star is for hilarity. The room smelled, the comforters have never been cleaned, the kitchen is untouchably disgusting, the lighting inspires homicidal mania. But best of all: The blaring fire alarm at 8AM that didn’t shut off for at least 20 minutes — may have been longer, but we ran out of there fast. This is for the adventurous traveler looking for that special ‘seedy’ feeling. Anyone who wants to get some rest, let alone enjoy an ‘extended’ stay — for god’s sake, look for another place.

This was down right the worst and nastiest hotel I ever stayed in, in my life! FIRSTOFF I CHECKEDINAROUND230 am. I RANGEDTHEBELLATLEASTTENTIMES. J HADTOCALLTHEHOTELDIRECTLYJUSTTOGET A STAFFMEMBEROUT. ANDWHENSHEFINALLYARRIVEDSHEHADANATTITUDELIKE I WASDISTURBINGHERE. WHEN I MADETHERESERVATIONSONLINE I WASNOTAWARETHATIF I PAYCASHITSANADDITIONAL $ 100DEPOSIT! This should be explain because that cause a huge inconvenience for me. And I wouldn’t have booked in the first place. Back at the hotel, she finally checked us in. We went to the room and it was already occupied by another guest!!! We had to go back downstairs and get another room. The whole hotel stay was very pointless and uncomfortable. Oh and let’s not forget the $ 25 late fee they charged if u check out after 11 am! This place deserves a negative star rating, but because that’s not an option, I’m putting the leased one. I hope this hotel at least gets some pleasant people who actually enjoys their job and apologize for the inconvenience it caused me instead of acting like I was a bother!!!

I had picked this place from a list of business approved hotels for a week long trip in Houston, and I picked it due to the discounted rate our company was offered. However I would not recommend this place at the normal rate. The good: –The best iron I’ve had in a hotel room. Weird, but true. –The location is close to Chinatown and that meant a lot of great food. –The fridge and microwave worked well, and were full sized. –Room was well sized for one person. The bed was very comfortable. –TV worked well enough. I’ve had nicer rooms with worse signal. The bad: –Lots of oddities with my room. Cracks in the grout and even the toilet seat, odd stains on the floor and countertops, etc. –I wasn’t informed on a lot of hotel policies, like the towel return system. –Wi-Fi is free, but basically unusable unless you pay for«premium». –Small shower, prone to leaking all over the bathroom. All in all, it wasn’t a horrible experience, but it wasn’t pleasant. It encouraged me to not stay in my room all day, which was a plus.

STAYAWAYFROMHERE!!! You are better off buying a tent from Walmart and camping out somewhere… The place is hideous. The room right next door to me had a sign saying«Mold Remediation in Progress»! The bed smelled like urine! I pulled the sheet back on my bed to look at the mattress and there was body hair(okay, it was pubs) on the mattress. I was out of there QUICK! The people at the front desk were pretty nice/helpful though and the morning coffee wasn’t so bad.

Moved from out of state and stayed here for a month. Overall, I only had minor complaints. If it hadn’t been for the price(even though this was the best I could find) I would have stayed another month. Would definitely stay here again or recommend. Pros — Area is safer than most — No issues with random people loitering the grounds — Clean room — No issues with noise from other rooms — Nice amenities in room(two computer desks, sink, fridge, 32″ TV, etc…) — Lots of cable TV stations(only premium is Showtime) — Walking distance to Burger King, Jack in the Box and Pollo Bravo — Clerks at desk were prompt and helpful Cons — Weird smell in stairway — Free internet is only approximately 0.7mbps — Washer/Dryer is $ 4 per load — Suppose to have room service once a week and they missed one week — Towels are thin and rough(highly suggest bringing your own) All in all, nothing fancy here. Main requirements I had were cleanliness, safety and cost. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a long vacation or need something temporary for an extended period this will fit the bill.
