Great place for lunch, service is fast and excellent. Just get there by 1130 if you have 4 or more in your group. I have ordered the chicken jerky opps i mean the roasted chicken twice and both times have been disappointed; however my uncultured friends swear by it. The causa rellenas, crispy tacos, and Tacos dorados are a GREAT choice.

If you want light, refreshing, filling, and inexpensive food with nice service you should come here. Service 5⁄5 Waitress was really sweet. Forgot the name but it was a mash potato appetizer 5⁄5 It was really cute and it tasted like a potato chicken salad. It was potatoes on top and bottom and the shredded chicken in the middle. It was different I liked it. Half chicken 4⁄5 The chicken was a bit burnt but other than that it was a nice rotisserie chicken. I guess it didn’t really appeal to me as much because I eat a lot of rotisserie chicken and they’re all tasting similar now. Spicy fries 4⁄5 It was fries with some spicy seasoning on it but the seasoning wasn’t really popping out or anything. Mexican rice 4⁄5 At first I was disappointed when the rice came out because the color was so light I could tell it wouldn’t have been flavorful. But after eating it with the chicken and hot sauce, it was good that it didn’t overpower anything. I still think the rice should have a bit more flavor though. Sweet plantain 5⁄5 It was good Everything filled 2 people up and ended up costing only a bit over $ 20.

Love their chicken! I can eat it everyday! Although, this location’s Mexican rice doesn’t always smell fresh.

The food is great. I always go with the chicken plate with spicey fries and plantains. I will say that if you’re ordering pick up please call 30 minutes prior to your lunch or you’ll find yourself waiting. They have space for maybe a couple groups but if you’re looking to come with a party of more than 4 people then I don’t recommend this place due to the capacity. Aside from that I would tell you to give it a try.

Yumm! I’m hooked on their chicken. It’s so flavorful and moist. Love the plantains and avocado salad too. Perfect spot for lunch… not always quick though.

First visit here and thought it was decent, but nothing remarkable. Servers were friendly, but the wait for the food to arrive was a bit longer than expected. I ordered the Taquitos with chicken(obviously), green tomatillo sauce and shredded Monterrey Jack cheese, french fries, and pinto beans subbed for the avocado salad. The taquitos were crispy rather than soft like I was expecting. For $ 9.99 it was just OK, but if I were to return I’d probably order what my colleague ordered, the half chicken for only $ 5.99 without any sides. It looked very tasty and she confirmed that it was. Perhaps the biggest drawback is the location, nestled between two busy intersections and very limited parking. Not the easiest place to get in and out of.

DELICIOUS! I love coming to Pollo Bravo they never disappoint. This location is closest to my house so it is easier to swing by but it is definitely smaller than the Hillcroft location. I normally order the half chicken with fried green plantains and beans or sometimes the salad. I have tried most of the sides and I also enjoy the fries(just normal crinkle cut french fries with seasoned salt) and the mexican rice. If you have room for an appetizer I definitely recommend the crispy taquitos. They are smothered in green sauce and sour cream but are still piping hot and crispy underneath. The rotisserie chicken is always roasted to perfection and the spicy green sauce on the tables is so delicious and packs a powerful kick. The one and only beef I have with this place is the fact they never have ketchup in bottles. They insist on giving you these tiny packets and you need like 10 of them. Please just invest in a few ketchup bottles I promise it’ll be worth it.

So, good flavors but beef was somewhat over cooked. Needed more rice and it would benefit from real potatoes being cooked with the Saltado instead of adding frozen, deep fried ones. The green aji was spot on. Certainly not Mario’s or Pollo Inca in L.A. but worth the visit. By the Way, their specialty is Pollo a la brasa but they don’t make Saltado de Pollo???

I come here at least once or twice a month for lunch. It is close to my job so this is definitely one of my favorite places to be. Staff are always nice and service is super fast. I always get the ¼ chicken and mix my sides like avocado salad, fried yucca, rice or plantains. Can’t forget about their green spicy sauce. I dip it with the chicken and the fried yucca. DELISH!!! I think there’s was 1 time I came to dinner with the family and they didn’t have any chicken(I found that super odd)

Their specialty is chicken along with sides. The chicken is good but for the ¼ chicken combo for almost $ 10… there are other places such as Dodo’s chicken that offer more. I did enjoy the sweet plaintains. the avocado salad was nothing special… just a salad composed of lettuce and a few small slices of avocado on top and a small drop of a light dressing. It may seem like a place you order at the counter but its an actual sit down, full service restaurant.

THISPLACEWASONCEOURFAVORITELUNCHSPOT It’s really sad how this place started out providing great tasting food with good service and grew to a lesser quality restaurant. My obviously pregnant wife recently visited the Richmond Ave. location with our 2 year old son. My wife was seated and then was asked to move to another table to allow a larger group to have her table. She graciously complied and was moved to another table. Before she could order her food, the waitress asked her to get up and move to another table again once again. Needless to say, my wife got up and went out the door to eat at Chipotle where she said she was treated much better and the food is consistently good. I modified my previous 5 star rating to a 2 star rating because we are disappointed in the wait staff and the food quality that we have received in our past several visits. We were actually embarrassed when we resently treated our family to dinner, who visiting from Peru.

I’ve been to two Pollo Bravos in Houston. The one in Memorial is pretty delicious, so when I saw this one close to work I was definitely ready to spend my money. It’s in a tiny shopping center, and you’d definitely pass it by if you didn’t know what was sitting in there. First things first, what is Peruvian chicken? Honestly, it’s just a chicken that’s been rotisseried with a bunch of delicious seasoning. It’s an easy and cheap way to eat, and you buy it by the quarter, half, or whole. That’s not the thing that gets you coming back though — it’s the green sauce they serve with the chicken. It’s spicy and flavorful and so so good. When ordering your sides, note that the large and small are actually very different. I assumed that the sizes were uniform across all the locations, but this one definitely serves larger portions with the large. Whole plates of rice and green plantains(make sure to say GREEN very specifically, as you’ll likely be served sweet plantains if you don’t repeat GREEN at least twice), giant bowls of pinto beans. You can get half a chicken, with a large rice, beans, and green plantains for under $ 20. Split that between two people(which honestly the large beans is too big), that’s a $ 10 meal.

It’s a chicken joint. They serve very simple meals with very simple ingredients. Went in for lunch with a group of four. Seating was limited. Place is really small. Lunch crowds should leave early or come late. Staff at this location was nice and helpful. Had… Chicken, plantain, yuca root, and beans. Was good. Again, its simple stuff so its exactly what I would expect. If you ever bought rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, that’s exactly what the chicken is like. I probably wouldn’t go back during lunch due to the crowd /small location.

Decided to check out this place today for lunch. I was super skeptical about the menu since it was so tiny, but my date reassured me that if Gordon Ramsay sees a tiny menu, he expects every dish to be delicious. We both ended up getting the ¼ chicken with 2 sides. I got Mex rice and charro beans, while he got Mex rice with spicy fries. Our orders were out fairly fast. The chicken was perfectly cooked, Mexican rice was more like slightly seasoned steamed sticky rice with random vegetables, and the charro beans were DELICIOUS. I could probably go back and just order beans, they were that good. Like someone else mentioned, their green sauce is great! It tastes like spicy macaroni salad pureed, but awesome. Everything came out to about $ 16 for two people, we just left a $ 20. We will probably be back next time were in the area!

If you got dried chicken, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems but Pollo Bravo ain’t one. Had a craving for latin food and after checking out different places, I decided on Pollo Bravo cause it was conveniently located close to work. Obviously had to try the chicken and got the ¼ chicken combo with two sides(avocado salad and pinto beans) for $ 7.99. The meal came out fairly quick; went right in and poked the chicken with my fork separating it from the bones, so moist so moist and the chicken skin was so crispAAy. Asked for the green sauce and that just made it so much better, I have no idea why… crack sauce is what it should be called. The sides were delicious as well, avocado salad had onions, purple cabbage, avocado slices, tomatoes and a citrus-y dressing on it. Pinto beans were sitting in a meat-based broth was was diiiivine, probably my love of mexican food. It was a good portion of food to fill you up but I do agree that I wish it was a tad bit cheaper! I knew I was in for a good meal when I walked in. How? Cause there was a diverse crowd in the restaurant with MOSTly Latino occupants. I’ll let you in on a not-so-asian secret… if I walk into an asian joint and it’s mostly non-asians in there, it’s kind of like a light bulb that going off to get the F out of there, maybe not all places but…80% of the time it works every time. Will be back!

Sorry Pollo Bravo. You’ve been opening so many locations you neglected your food. You are turning into a chain and losing your essence. I got cold food and a horrible rice last time I went there. You used to have the best rice and now I’ts just some messy something. Serving cold food is unacceptable. Small portions still. Your chicken is still good.
