I’ve seen the other two reviews on here. They’re kind of old, my experience with Gilligan’s was very good. I had great service, the food was awesome. I had an omelette which was awesome. I cannot come up with any type of complaint whatsoever. I strongly recommend breakfast/brunch here.

Gilligan’s on the Lake is a great place to go for breakfast if you don’t mind waiting to have it for lunch. Just cruise on up by car or boat and flag someone down who can begrudgingly get you a cup of coffee that comes complete with all the refills you want as long as you are willing to get up and get it yourself. Enjoy the views of the lake while you wait and wait and wait on your food(90 mins) in my case. The good news is that they don’t wait on the whole order to be ready to serve you. You get to watch some eat their entire meal before being bothered with yours and then vice versa. I think they try really hard to do this right. Too bad effort isn’t all it takes to make me not wish I had gone somewhere, anywhere else in Garland county for breakfast.

2 stars instead of 1 only bc a) the waitress was really sweet & b) the place is just kind of pitiful. Like… 3 legged dog pitiful. Small family owned business that shares a kitchen with the«river boat» operation next door. It could have a nice outdoor seating area where a concrete slab resides. Being an obviously family owned/small business, I at least expected a touch of homemade – or at least an effort to appear so. After a longer than excusable wait… The food was just sooo bad. The crab cakes were from Sysco(the waiter proudly admitted) and the salmon on my husband’s salad was a) overcooked and b) very freezer burnt. The salad dressing was one in a single-serving packet. To be fair, I wouldn’t expect a place open for just breakfast & lunch to have great crabcakes even on a Sunday brunch, but… they just looked so sad. If the majority of your menu is cookie cutter restaurant supply items, there’s no excuse to have some homemade touches, like homemade salad dressing or bread or something.
