I went to Blue Fountain for the first time last night with my boyfriend and another couple, we made a reservation an hour and a half prior to arriving which worried some of our group, but luckily we were not disappointed. The food, as well as the drinks were phenomenal! The eggplant rollatini was the best I’ve ever had, by far. After reading the other reviews I was prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time for our food to arrive, but everything was brought to the table pretty quickly. Our server was Kara, I believe, she was very friendly and very attentive. We were all pleased with our overall experience and will definitely be going back, and ordering dessert next time. I highly recommend Blue Fountain.

Restaurant entrees were delicious when I went(over a year ago) and I heard good reviews on their parties/catering. Unfortunately though, the buffet set up for a party I suggested having there wasn’t my favorite. The catering prices are beyond reasonable but you get what you pay for. Family style appetizers were pretty small especially for what Italian families are used to. Otherwise, décor is nice and service is pretty good.

Had Xmas eve dinner with the family at Blue Fountain and was pretty impressed with everything! We reserved the beautiful wine room upstairs and were well taken care of by our server Carmen and her associates! The upstairs wine room is a perfect spot for a work lunch/dinner, party or any type of event for about 20 to 30 people. It is nicely lit and adorned with walls of wine bottles. The food was very good and the service was equally as good! I look forward to my next visit to the Wappingers area and dinner at Blue Fountain!

I went here with my parents who live close by & the food was really good. I had the cavatelli bolognese & the pasta was definitely homemade & done just right. My only real issue was that while the service was good & I enjoyed our waitress, it just took a long time for the food to come out. If it was busier I would understand but it seemed a bit long for the amount of tables. Luckily the food was awesome so nobody went home hangry!

We went here today for our anniversary dinner. It was fantastic! Very pleasant atmosphere, the room is tastefully decorated, simple, but elegant. We had shrimp Gorgonzola appetizer, and it was good, though very small(six shrimps in the sauce). We both had chicken dishes and they were outstanding. Nice size portions too. Service was attentive and timely. We definitely will come back.

Went there for a Repast after a funeral. It was lunch time on a cold weekday and we were in the banquet area. The food was phenomenal and the staff was great. I would definitely recommend the chicken parmigana and penne a la vodka. I heard the shrimp scampi was incredible. I must admit that the Eggplan Rollatini wasn’t great though. I will definitely go again if I can find it as it’s a little out of the way from the Taconic. I live in lower Westchester so the odds of me getting back up there any time soon are slim.

We went there on a Saturday night, and there were 8 of us with 2 kids. When we got there, there was not a lot of people. Then it started to get a little more crowded. My overall complaint was that, the food took FOREVER! There was only one server who took our order, cleared our plates and brought out our orders. There was like a 20 – 30 minutes wait between drinks, appetizer, salad and entrée. To top it off, the food was either bland or mediocre. We were there for a total of 2 ½ hours! stuffed clams– OK, the breadcrumbs were a little too over powering. shrimp gorgonzola– OK, the sauce was good but the shrimp needed more flavoring. calamari– standard, the sauce was very good. It had a kick to it. polenta and mushrooms– This was the best dish of the night. The polenta was seared nicely, crisp on the outside yet moist in the inside. The mushroom sauce was amazing! Very flavorful, yet light. Chicken with mushrooms– terrible. My mother-in-law didn’t finish it. She said it was very bland and it tasted like chicken with heavy cream. She said it’s like they forgot the wine. Steak– My brother in law said it was good. veal parm– decent. I’m not a big fan of veal, and I haven’t had a lot of judge from. spicy shrimp– the sauce was a little watery and pleasantly spicy. The shrimp tasted like it was pre-cooked, then they added it in the sauce and pasta. It tasted a little rubbery and the sauce flavor did not absorb into the shrimp. chicken tenders and fries– my niece and nephew had that. They both only ate like 2 pieces. My niece said it didn’t taste like anything. It also looked really dry. chicken marsala– Lacking flavor, the chicken did not have any taste and the gravy was overwhelmingly creamy. osso buco– My father-in-law loved it. He said it was very tender, flavorful. Overall, we are not coming back. My sister-in-law and parents-in-law had come her on other occasions and they both said the service was too slow. It was not worth the wait for mediocre food.

Haven’t been here in years but glad we came back. The service was great and food pretty good. The deserts were not that great so we passed this time. I also would have liked the butter for the bread to be warm or whipped for easy spreading.

Go here for the seafood fra diavolo. Awesome. My wife and I kept trying to guess if the pasta was homemade, it was that good.

Had dinner there last night with the boyfriend. I made a reservation and requested a nice table(it was his birthday) and they obliged us with a nice window seat. The restaurant is simple in its décor. We enjoyed our meal and staff was nice but not knowledgable about the wines. The food(Veal Parm and pasta/shrimp dish) was tasty but not incredible. We did enjoy the shrimp gorgonzola app. Delicious! This was our first visit.

I had been here once before, 8 years ago. Always meant to go back, but never got around to it till recently, and it was so much better than I remembered. Apps: Shrimp gorgonzola and fried calamari. My wife loved the calamari, and I thought the shrimp were fantastic. The sauce on he shrimp really made it. It was just amazing. i dunked my bread in it. The sauce were better than the shrimp. Meals: chicken fantasia and linguine con vongole bianco(fancy way of saying pasta and clam sauce), but both were stellar. The sauce for the chicken was a nice cream sauce and so tasty. yup, more bread dunking. Beers were nice and cold. Staff very attentive. Place was clean, and the remodel was very well done. The place was warm, not hot, but we hate going to a cold restaurant, so many places in Dutchess don’t raise the heat unless customers are there, and then it takes so long to heat up, but that was not the case here. We finished off the night with tiramisu and cannoli. Fantastic endings to the night. My wife raved about the cannoli. We usually split a desert, but glad we didn’t this time. They gave us a $ 10 coupon that expires at the end of Jan, so its a little incentive to return, but not really needed. I hope this wasn’t a fluke. this could be our new go to spot. All in $ 100 + $ 20 tip. not bad. we left stuffed.

Everything was absolutely delicious! And the service was phenomenal. Very attentive. Everything was great from the appetizer, to the wine, to the entrée, and the delicious dessert. Even the bread was to die for!

I took my wife and son to the Blue Fountain on Tuesday July 26th, 2011 for dinner we arrived there at 7:00PM. After ordering drinks I had notified the waitress that I had a discount coupon-buy one dinner get the second one free for Tuesday only. She indicated that it was valid and we then ordered our dinners. My wife ordered the price fix dinner for 19.95 which included appetizer, salad and main course. I ordered a pasta dish for 14.95(salad included) and my son ordered a seafood dish for 19.95(salad included). My wife and I had two glasses of wine each, my son had water. After completing dinner i asked for the check and gave the waitress my credit card and the coupon. As a matter of fact the waitress reminded me to include the coupon. I expected to have 14.95 deducted from the bill(the lower amount of the dinners). Within one minute the waitress came back and said she was sorry but that the coupon was not valid as my wife had the price fix dinner and that in itself was a special offer and the coupon could not be combined with a special offer. The waitress seemed embarrassed as she told me that she was under the impression that the coupon was valid, however the management would not provide the discount for the coupon. I honestly felt bad for the waitress as she was put in a very difficult position and believe me the 14.95 was not going to break me. My question is how many times has this happened in the Blue Fountain?. Sounds like a bait and switch to me. By the way the food was OK and the waitress was exceptional. I left her a 20% gratuity and tried to speak with the management but they were not interested. We had additional coupons in a book for the Blue Fountain(it was a gift to us) and gave them to the management as we were not interested in going back again and asked them to give the coupon book to someone else. I do not think the management made the proper call by not standing behind their employee. If in fact the price fix was a special offer it was not disclosed anywhere. I guess if my son and I went alone and ordered what we ordered I would have been ahead of the game.
