No refills for gold members!!! They sell at a walk up window but drive later and when they say no refill that is guaranteed with a purchase for the lowest level so go to mall store for results.

Starbucks… Yes! Starbucks Drive-Thru…Yes Yes Yes!!! One thing about Hawaii is we don’t have enough Starbucks drive thrus. The only one I know of in town is at Kahala Mall, and that’s not even town town… ugh! Ever since having my son, and being allowed to have coffee again, I picked up my addiction right where I left off. I know there are Starbucks haters and I could save a ton of money if I didn’t frequently visit this establishment, I love the convenience. Plus, I do not have the time or patience or desire to wash dishes to make myself a mocha at home. I don’t live near Kahala but when I head this way I enjoy going through the drive-they to avoid taking my son out of his car seat. The line does move slow sometimes but that is the price you pay for staying in your car. Tall Skinny mocha please

Walked to the«Walk up» window and was completely ignored by the three workers in there of the mid morning shift. Waited for 5 minutes before I disappointingly left. One of them even made eye contact with me. Terrible service.

I was so excited when I found out that there was going to be a drive-thru Starbucks in Kahala. I mean, how convenient is that? The quality of their drinks are good. Their customer service is also good, just like any other Starbucks. So why am I giving four stars? Well… They run out of things on their menu quite often. Just a minor issue and usually does not bother me at all but because it happened quite frequently, I thought I should mention it. Besides that though, they’re really great! I’m very happy they opened and will definitely be coming back.

This is a must before going to work or I know I’m going to have a long day! The staff here is super friendly. It’s so convenient in the morning that I don’t have to stand in a line to get my daily fix. Still haven’t tried to use the mobile app to preorder my drink and snack yet. They are fast with getting my order correct even at 5 am in the morning!!!

So, I *just* found out that this drive thru Starbucks exists. I made sure to stop by there after work today because it it very close to where I live. Major score! I got in line and ordered as I would at any drive thru. The line moved very quickly and the service was, overall, «okay.» I also noticed that it closes at 12am, much later than the non-drive-thru location in Kapahulu that I frequent, which is the closest Sbucks to my house. Woo-hoo! Also, the service was friendly. Whoever took my order, thank you! You’re awesome! You were very nice. I had asked you for separate transactions after I ordered, and I felt really bad about that. You said it was okay and to remind you about that when I got up to the payment window. HOWEVER, when I pulled up to the window to pick up and pay for my orders, it was a different girl giving me my orders and accepting my payments. She sternly and quite rudely told me to make sure I ask for separate transactions before I order. I *apologized* and said okay. I got my orders and drove away. See anything wrong with this picture? I would have given you guys 5 stars because the service was fast and it’s a great location. That last person I interacted with left a pretty bad first impression. I was hoping this would be my «new» go-to place for Starbucks coffee, but I think that’s no longer the case. I’ll pay good money for convenience, quality, and good/great customer service. 2 stars off for rude service and treatment. Not coming here EVER again.

My BF and I come here nearly every single night. The night crew already knows us! Lol! My BF will go out of his way and make the drive from Kalihi valley just to get me coffee from THIS Starbucks! Lol customer service is always on-point. The drink is always correct AND They RINSE their blenders !!! Since finding out about them having a drive-thru location in town, I had become a loyal customer at this location. Before discovering this Starbucks, I’d always go to the keeaumoku one and they know me there as well. Hahahaha. The Kahala Mall Starbucks location is my favorite though.

Updated review+++ this Starbucks is getting popular. Not only do they have a drive thru but they also have a window where customers can walk up and place orders. Here’s the bad part. I don’t think the owners realized just how busy this new pop up would be. From the customers point of view, there seems to be a lot of employees working at this small box but the consistency and speed of service is lacking. I frequent this location but rarely use the drive thru. I normally always park and order from the walk up window. Never fails that I wait 5 + minutes for my iced coffee. Once I walk up to the window I make eye contact with all the workers inside yet they still take their time to open the window and take my order. It’s as if they focus only on the drive thru. Please fix this Starbucks. Please add workers to focus on drive thru orders and add more workers to focus on walk up orders. There’s no point in having both if you’re only gonna prioritize one side(the drive thru)

Almost always a long line but overall Great service! Funny thing is that I don’t even drink coffee, I keep coming for their shaken black tea.

For the days where I’m freezing, in need of a warm drink and too lazy to get my butt out of my car and in line, I’ll drag my sister along with me to the Starbucks Drive-Thru. I am still waiting for the day where a drive thru will be added in town but until that day comes, the closest drive thru is at Kahala mall. They are located in the parking area just outside of Macys and the workers there are just great! I usually get the urge for something warm to drink late at night and thank goodness they are open till midnight. I’ve never been to the drive thru during the day so I can’t say how fast or slow it is during peak hours. Want to go late at night? No problem. The longest line I’ve been in so far was three cars in front of me and even then it was in and out within several minutes. Service is always great! I figure that most people are in bed by ten at night during the week and being that they are open until midnight every day… I have to give credit to the workers who still manage to be up and perky for those last few hours until they can go home. Maybe they’re good and pretending to be perky or just naturally are. Who cares?!! I’ve never had a rude or bored server yet so keep doing what you’re doing guys ^__^ Drinks are always made to perfection and I have to say, the Starbucks in the mall could learn a few tips. Such as not spilling chocolate all over my cup because you’re too busy talking to your co-worker and giggling like a chick.

Once again, as I have with other drive-thru establishments, I must give 5 stars to this Starbucks because of those infamous 2 words: DRIVE-THRU. People, it’s all about convenience. The convenience that you don’t have to get out of your car because of your kids in the back, because you are tired, because while waiting in line you can put on make-up, because you have a surfboard in the back of your truck… whatever it is, a drive thru is just plain convenient. I frequent this location about 2 times a week before work at the wee hours of the morning. I have never experienced a bad time here. The wait times are reasonable for a drive thru. The workers are pleasant. The drinks are good. And once again, its just so convenient. There’s also a little counter where you can order by walking up and placing your order if that floats your boat. There’s usually zero to one or two people in line when I pass by. I will definitely be coming here often because of is closeness to my house and the plain fact that its a drive-thru :)

I love that Kahala now has a drive-through Starbucks. I work in Kapolei and am thoroughly spoiled by the drive through on Kamokila Blvd. With parking as difficult as it is at Kahala Mall(and the inside Starbucks always has long lines), the drive-through is great! Don’t be discouraged if you drive up and see a few cars in the queue. For one, there’s easy parking and a walk-up window on the other side of the drive-through which helps if the wait is too long. However, the drive-through is surprisingly fast. I drove by once and the line was about 8 cars long. By the time I got back about 10 minutes later, there was no wait at all. Those people inside that little building are fast! Starbucks gets –1 star for running out of peppermint over the holidays. You cannot run out of peppermint when one of the best drinks is the Peppermint Mocha Latte! In Kahala’s defense, Kapolei also ran out the week before Kahala did. C’mon main warehouse, figure it out next year!

We need more drive through Starbucks! I’m not an everyday coffee drinker, but when I want something fast is the way to go. For a drink, who wants to park walk in wait in line and wait for your drink? Not I! :)

I’ve reviewed a couple of Starbucks here and there. So you can say I’ve been places. All Starbucks are all the same, right? WRONG! EXCEPTWHENIT’S ANAMAZINGDRIVETHRU! I came here on a Saturday morning where I thought it would take your average amount of time to get a coffee from Starbucks, but during this time there was only another car in front of me. I ordered what I always order during the holiday season(Caramel Brûlée Latte, iced of course). Then waited for a minute for the car in front of me to get his caffeine fix and I roll up to the window, pay, and BAM, there’s my drink nice and cold and all delicious and stuff. To be honest, when they were in the process of building this drive thru, I was a bit irritated with the fact that they used up so much parking spaces for Kahala Mall to make such a thing when they already had a Starbucks in the mall already(much less when it’s the holidays and the place is already packed to begin with). But after this experience I plan on going back, only shame is that I no longer live close by; if I did, I would utilize it a lot more!

Unilocal 365 Challenge 2015 #7/365 It’s about time Honolulu got it’s own Starbucks Drive-Thru! I’m originally from the Big Island, and I remember when the first Starbucks Drive-Thru opened up in Hilo… had to wait almost half an hour in the drive-thru line =/Turned off the car, opened the doors and everything! Luckily, that was many years ago, and my experience at this location was nothing like that! Rachel and I pulled up to the drive-thru for the first time, and the barista taking orders spoke clear, perfect English. I’ve never heard a drive-thru speaker so clear! I was really impressed by that. Rachel ordered a Caramel Brulee Frappuccino, and I ordered a Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino(this was when they still had those holiday drinks obviously). It was pleasantly served quickly! I don’t know if it was just because it was a drive-thru, but it felt like they made those drinks faster than going into a regular Starbucks and ordering at the counter. Baristas were polite, and drinks were on point. Thank God for Starbucks Drive-Thru!

Why they didn’t build this little piece of convenience sooner blows my mind. I know they have one on other parts of the island but we’re talking Kahala — the neighborhood of the hoity-toity and indulgent. All kidding aside, I love that I no longer have to fight for parking on the Whole Foods side of Kahala Mall. This store is on the Kokohead side in the parking lot of the Macy’s/CPK entrance to the mall. The line can get long so make sure you enter from the traffic light area so you can have a straight shot into it. There’s even a walk up window for those of you that think this location might be more convenient when you’re shopping. It’s a spot purely for drinks and they don’t sell other merchandise like they do in their full store. If you need coffee beans or mugs, make sure you go to the one inside the mall. Happy drinking!

Kahala vs. Waipio, it’s on like Donkey Kong! I’m having somewhat of an identity crisis here because both my home town and my new town have my favorite drive thru Starbuckses in the state. Yes, I said ‘Starbuckses’ because how else do you pluralize that word? Starbuckss with an extra ‘s’? I digress. The convenience of a drive thru Starbucks comes from the fact that people drive reasonable sized cars here. The intercom is loud and clear, and there was minimal delay between orders. I got through a 5 – 6 car line in less than one song on my playlist. On the flip side, Waipio Starbucks always has a long line and it takes a while to order even when you’re at the intercom. So long as Kahala can keep this pace, I am confident it will reign supreme as the most convenient Starbucks on island. Remember people, don’t be like that 79-year old lady who burnt her hoo-ha by leaving the drive thru carrying coffee between her legs. Clear your cup holders and put your drink where it belongs and we can continue to have nice things.

This is dangerously easy for me. I will be even broke-r than I already am thanks to this new drive-thru!!! I love the Kahala Starbucks team. The new drive through team here seems to be following suit! Service has been good so far! I arrived at 11:55pm right before closing(I know, I know… Every closer’s worst nightmare)… and they were still nice and graciously made my drink for me, with a smile. The place looks very clean and organized. It is well lit, and so far, the service again has been very good. My drink was made right, which I always appreciate, and it tasted just like it should. It seems like there may be a walk up window on the other side, but I’m not sure sure yet. I was worried that this new drive through would clog up traffic in the parking area, but so far it seems to be managing well. I will definitely be returning here!

Finally! A Starbucks drive thru in Honolulu! When we saw signs announcing that they were building a Starbucks in the Kahala mall parking lot, my friends and I were confused. There is already a really rather large and popular Starbucks in the little mall. Nope, this drive thy location was going to open in addition to the in-mall location. Makes sense; the drive thru location is literally just a window. I’m a little hesitant to LOVE it. It does take away valuable Kahala mall parking, but I do love the convenience and that the service is so friendly. I was also disappointed that they don’t sell Starbucks popcorn here. I’m currently a little addicted, but would have to go inside the mall to get my Starbucks popcorn fix. Obviously I’ll be back, Kahala mall is super convenient for me and I hate dealing with parking in the mall when I just want to go to Starbucks. Hopefully the service remains quick and friendly because I can see this place getting very popular.
