I love their Lattes! But, if you order their lattes cold, they’re always not well blended. I’ve had countless lattes and I must say that Kimobean makes some good coffee. I believe the coffee depends on the barista. Some are delicate and must perfect, and some are just like bam what? If you’re not a coffee person Kimobean also sells fruit flavored freezes. Those taste great.

Good coffee is getting scarce in this town. Kimobean comes through. Not only do they serve only 100% Hawaii grown coffee which is totally awesome, but they actually know how to make an espresso and a latte. These are the only two types of coffees that I have, should be pretty simple right?, espresso, espresso with steamed milk with a little foam? It’s not rocket science people, yet having milk properly steamed is becoming a rare art. I have to hand it to Kimobean, over the years they still come through, plus all of their food items are super! They make fresh little waffle things to order! Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Oh, and life, I fully agree about Mondays, I have officially declared it a day off. Tuesday is such a better 1st day of the week. But if you can’t have Mondays off, having Kimobean to start your day off makes Mondays, or Tuesdays, worth getting out of bed for. Thank you Kimobean discovery bay building! You Rock!

Dear Life, its just so cruel of you to make us go through the activity of waking up on Monday. Perhaps if we all got together and made an agreement to not show up to work on Monday we can get back at you and have it cancelled. Until then if we do show up, I think that its only fair that you should reward us with free Kimobean coffee! Better yet I think you should have it delivered to my house along with one of their breakfast sandwiches or pastries. Life… Life…are you even listening to me??? Having a quality potent cup of coffee on a Monday morning is just as important as the alcoholic adult beverage selected for Friday’s Pau Hana. As going into work Monday morning is equivalent to an apocalyptic event, I splurge on my morning java to help me cope. Kimobean is my go to as its close to work and doesn’t provide me with the chaotic morning line experience of a Starbucks. I always order a Kahala. Its like a white chocolate caffeinated liquid of the gods and its sooooooo yummy with a breakfast burrito or sandwich. You’ll easily drop $ 15 to $ 20 just for yourself for breakfast but again, be nice to yourself and reward you for conquering unconsciousness and remaining awake! All coffee here is 100% Hawaiian grown, which could explain the high prices, in addition to having to pay for rent in Waikiki. Parking here if you don’t already live in the area or have a spot from work really bites. There is nothing convenient and you’ll have to propark it in discovery bay which is a rip off expensive joke. To all those students out there, this is a great study zone, although you may end up spending more that you wanted for your caffeine. But hey, that’s what the credit card mom and dad gave you is for! I have to give kudos to all of those baristas that work here and wake up earlier than me to help me jump start my day, and are so incredibly nice while doing it. If I had their jobs I’d be fired within the first five minutes for making customers wait while I make myself coffee first. If you’re in the Waikiki/Ala Moana area, checkout Kimo bean and support local coffee farmers!

By far, my favorite Acai Bowl on the island. There’s something special about this one and I can’t pin point it. First of all, it’s huge, there are strawberries and bananas and granola; oh and honey. Maybe that’s where they get me, with the extra natural sweetness. It really adds to their Acai Bowl and makes it comes together in harmony for my taste buds. The pastry goodies that they have all look so good, the make it hard to choose which one you want for the day. Their muffins are yummy and so is their Chai Latte. The girls here are so sweet!(Dacia included).KiMOBEAN Coffee is perfect for a quick pick-up breakfast or snack for on-the-go.

KiMOBEAN Coffee has gotten better since it opened a few years ago. The service back then was pretty poor and I would often stumble down the street(pre-coffee) to Honolulu Coffee Company to get my Java fix. It must be hard to get friendly and quality staff to work in Waikiki. Anyhoo their menus consists of breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and waffles for those who need a quick bite to eat to go along with their pretty tasty coffee. This is a good spot for breakfast on the run.

Saw the reviews here and thought I’d check it out since I live nearby. Parked after work hoping they would validate. They were out of the Koko mocha that everyone was raving about so I got their vanilla latte(there was a fancy name for it) and it was delicious! Ordered an acai bowl and the bf ordered a turkey pesto sandwich. Wish the Acai was blended instead of the sorbet style because it was a little too frozen initially. I would go back but was taken aback by $ 4 parking for 35 minutes or so. If you’re kamaaina make sure you aren’t driving.

Came here four or five times since I was staying across the street. Nice place. Very friendly staff — must’ve met three of them or so. Good coffee. Reasonable prices, especially considering it’s Hawaii. I’ll be back next time!

If you’re a Hawaii resident & you’ve yet to try Kimobean, you’ve been SLEEPING. Wake up, my friends! You’re in for one of the best crafted cups of coffee you’ll ever have… ever. I love everything I’ve tried so far, but I keep coming back for the glorious Koko Mocha! HYPES: Koko mocha. Koko. Mocha. KOKOMOCHA. It’s so delightful, you’ll be just as hooked as I. They also sell lots of yummy food options from bagels and cookies to waffles and breakfast burritos! Yummmm! Not a coffee drinker? Not a problem! They have yummy smoothies, too! Service is so lovely! They know me by face by now and always, ALWAYS talk story with me & make me feel awesome in the mornings! I just love the staff. So very upbeat, friendly and smily! :) GRIPES: Absolutely none. This spot is perfect!

I stumbled across this coffee shop Thursday and I’ve been obsessed ever since! The shop is right across from my apartment and has great coffee, staff, and of course, wifi– no more long walks to Starbucks! One of the baristas, Dacia, is always here when I stop by and is extremely sweet and friendly. The other ladies I’ve encountered here are also awesome! The coffee with a pump of pumpkin spice is delicious. If you’re in the mood for food, the blueberry muffin or breakfast melt with pesto are great options. The breakfast melt is made in front of you and can be made with wheat bread. Lastly– I love that this place doesn’t have a touristy, loud coffee shop feel. It’s so quiet and I never have trouble finding a seat.

For the entire week during my business trip, I was visiting Kimobean for my morning coffee! I stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village nearby and I was not willing to go for Starbucks at the resort. I wanted real Hawaiian coffee! The Coconut Mocha was so delicious and fresh tasting. I love that bittersweet taste of the coffee. I can just taste paradise! I also enjoyed the Kona and Maui coffee, just plain black! Service was also great! The guy behind the counter was sharing taste notes to help me decide. His recommendations are good! Trust him!
