Everything here is delicious. Ice cream flavored are fairly unique. The chocolate dipped waffle cone and plain waffle cone bowl are pretty tasty. It’s smells delicious if you happen to be in when they are making the waffle cones/bowls. Pastries are delicious, butter crumb cake and the sticky buns. Wanted to try the cinnamon roll. They also had great customer service and all were very friendly.

Solid coffee shop! Actually the best Iced Carmel mocha coffee I’ve ever had! And that’s coming from someone who loves and make it my business to find the best coffee shops whenever I’m traveling. Strong coffee and great sweet but not too sweet flavor. Iced coffees come in medium 16oz at $ 5.60 and large(forgot the oz) sizes only. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Good experience here. We had the chocolate macadamia nut come with a scoop of some banana kind and the other scoop had chocolate brownie and raspberry(I think. .). Was really good though.

If you’re staying in the Rainbow Tower, Lappert’s is a quick walk from your room. We stayed a week and I came here every morning for coffee… Not until the last day did they give me a frequent visitor card. The thought was nice, but a bit late. Obviously I enjoyed the coffee… I did breakdown one morning and get the stickybun. It was worth it. The ice cream was just meh… A bit rich for my taste.

Ice cream here is super sweet and super expensive. $ 21 for 6 scoops. The ice is a bit frosted. The waffle cone and bowl is a bit thin and breaks to easily.

Maybe it’s because it’s the holiday season or because it was busy but the scoop was about ½ the size it normally is. I know it’s busy, but the girl working behind the counter was definitely not happy working. Oh well, took 2 stars off from my initial review.

Located in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it’s situated nicely across from the main lobby. You’ll smell the fresh waffle cones and coffee being made so just follow your nose. Whether you’d like a cold treat such as an ice cream sundae or gelato or a fresh pastry and coffee, they have you covered. Many of their treats have macadamia nuts which I love! Our sundae was made with part macadamia nut ice cream. Absolutely delightful! They are large and easily shared. I also stopped here for coffee. I finally found a place who makes my vanilla latte correctly! Perfect flavor and a little less than Starbucks prices. When on vacation, throw your healthy diet to the side and enjoy Lapperts!

You got to have Hawaiian shop ice cream while you’re vacationing, it’s a bit different from stateside. You get an onslaught of flavors that contain coconut, macadamia and kona coffee. «Lappert’s» to my knowledge is the most popular in the Honolulu-Waikiki area, and it’s found on the perimeter of the Hilton Grand Hotel complex. As far as I know, people like ice cream 365 days of the year around here. So popular, that If you’re gonna spend all that time in line, you oughta pay extra for a crispy made in-house waffle cone and pour the hot fudge on top. #goingfat

**Ice cream in hawaii**!! *WOOTWOOT**!! Auntie Nadine and her adventures again! OMG I was nervous because where do we park when we come here? It’s located at the HILTONHAWAIIANVILLAGE which is a MUSTVISIT if you come here! Saddened that the penguins are gone but they are in better place now. No they did not die, they are just in another place where they are being better taken care of. **Back to the ice cream here. Lappert’s was a place I used to go to eat ice cream when I was a little girl. Where did they go? No idea! But there is a location here and Las Vegas! Their ice cream is rich and creamy and buttery and the sorbets or so yummy! Passion fruit sorbet and mango sorbet! *drools*!! Thanks for reading, UFCing… :) ~*kenzie*!

I am staying at the Hilton so this place was very convenient. Now I went around 10pm and the place closes at 11pm. There are quite a few flavors which were intriguing and the staff is willing to give you samples. HOWEVER, when I was there they kept moving ice cream around and I was getting confused. I finally settled on a pineapple sorbet and something else in a waffle cone. My friend got coconut-pineapple double scoop and a water. Total was $ 17. WTF!!! My pineapple sorbet was all melty so it was basically soup when I walked outside and it leaked all over.

I had high hopes for this ice cream shop since it’s handmade ice cream found only in Hawaii. On their website, they say they’re «ambassadors of the Aloha Spirit.» Unfortunately, I don’t think they lived up to their standards tonight. We visited on a Saturday at 9:00pm. There was no line(avoid Friday nights before and after the fireworks) until the luau at the hotel was over. The first issue I noticed was that the ice cream flavors were nowhere posted on the board. This causes a «traffic jam» in the small space! Ugh. If it’s your first time, you’ll have to take a few minutes to examine the freezer displays to look at the ice cream and read the names of their flavors. So while you’re trying to figure out what you want, a line begins to form. Meanwhile, you’re still unsure so you ask for a few samples. Now there are customers behind you that have already placed their order and now begin to form a line to pay on your right. What a mess! If you attempt to look at the gelato display, you can’t even do that because the people standing in line to pay are now blocking your view AND looking at you because they think you’re cutting in line! The staff behind the counters didn’t even look happy or engaged in an aloha spirit — they’re not even standing in the traffic!!! Most of the ice cream in the containers were a runny mess! How can you serve ice cream like that for a premium price?! The one and only container that looked decent was Chocolate. I didn’t come here for Chocolate, though. I wanted to be adventurous and try something with Macadamia Nut, Coconut, Kona Coffee, or something Hawaiiany. I sampled Caramel Coconut and felt it was way too sweet. But, at this point I felt pressure to decide because of the congested space. So there you have it — Chocolate. In a waffle cone, please. Thank you! I would highly recommend that the flow of operations is rearranged. Move the register to the«Exit» door and souvenir area. This should create more space so customers can freely walk up and down the ice cream and gelato display cases. Post a LARGE display of ice cream flavors on the board or offer a menu that we can hold and read. Train your staff to carry an aloha spirit throughout their shift. I know it can be challenging since they’re dealing with many customers and cultures, but hey, that’s what you’re advertising. Overall, I wasn’t impressed. The ice cream was way too sweet for my taste buds and there really wasn’t anything special to rave about other than being at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. For 3 of us, we paid $ 25(Single in a waffle cone, Double in a waffle cone, and Double in a Macadamia chocolate dipped waffle cone). No military or kamaaina discount. I wouldn’t come back. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to a friend. I’d rather take them to Bubbies across town!

Do yourself a favour and eat here. Like every other day when you’re on vacation. Amazing ice cream flavours to choose from like Lilikoi(passionfruit), mango, macadamian nut, kona coffee, Coconut, caramel cashew, mint and etc and so on. The ice cream had actual whole cashews in it! So good!!! If you’re right by the main area of Waikiki(ex: Hyatt, moana) take the pink line to the Hilton Hawaiian village or whatever trolley! We also got the can’t decide option which gives you five scoops for $ 7.45 or something which makes it perfect for sharing. Did I mention the cones are amazing???

Great pour over Kona coffee and they open 530am! It’s an easy walk from the hotel and they’re cinnamon bun and macadamia short bread cookie are great. There are tables in the back and they do serve ice cream. Come early on Friday nights before the fireworks because once the show is done everyone will come here for ice cream.

It was our first time here ! But not our family’s. They said it’s a must try, so we ended up all going! There were a lot of Hawaiian mixes, that were unfamiliar… So I loved that they gave us as many samples as we wanted! I ended up getting MAUNAKEA’S SECRET. Which is white chocolate ice cream swirled w/raspberry sorbet & loaded with chocolate chips and chocolate brownies. BOMB!!! The line went pretty quick, since there were a lot of workers in the front. I’m giving 4 stars, instead of 5 just because the ice cream melted like it was under direct sunlight, & in 100 degree weather. Some melt, but this was uncontrollable. Overall… Great flavors of ice cream. Must try!

Ice Cream was solid and it was a nice treat on a hot day spent at the resort by the pool. But it is super pricey — they don’t have regular sugar cones(that I know of) so you kind of have to pay extra for a waffle cone. The waffle cone, while good, isn’t my favorite cone or even my cone of choice so it was meh for me. My sister had a mixture of chocolate chips and raspberry(I can’t remember the name) but it was pretty good! The coconut mac nut ice cream was also very good as well. They have coffee, bagels and pastries — so if Starbucks has too long of a line, head on over to Lappert’s for a quick and easy breakfast.

There are three reasons why I love Lapperts. 1) Always open.(5:30am — 11pm) 2) Exceptional ice cream. Doesn’t matter which flavor you get, they’re all yummy! 3) Perfect waffle cones. Can’t decide which flavor to get? No worries! Just get the«Can’t Decide»! :)

Awesome signature ice-creams, coffee from the islands and freshly crafted breakfast items make Lappert’s a delectable mecca at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The moment I saw an advertisement for Lappert’s in Hana Hou! magazine on the flight, I had made up my mind to check this place out. The Kona ice-cream was my favorite. I also loved the Kauai pie chiller. Tutu’s anniversary has a very authentic flavor with the coconut and passion fruit. The coffees are representative of the flavors from the different islands. Ask about the coffee of the day. You can’t go wrong with it! They do specials on Mother’s day, etc. so look out for those too. On a side note, this joint is found only in Hawaii and is not related to Lappert’s ice-cream on the mainland.

AUTHENTIC Hawaiian flavors with LOTSOFVARIETY and GENEROUS sample size!!! Food: Because there were TOOMANY great flavors to pick from, and considering how indecisive we all were, we decided to go with the 5 half scopes in a waffle cup to share between 6 people, which was a good amount after we each chugged down a huge bowl of ramen. We picked: 1) Hana(something) — has dark chocolate with nuts 2) Lychee 3) Kona Coffee 4) Roasted Hazelnut 5) Roasted banana My favorite was hana, because I LOVE dark chocolate with nuts and other assortment of goodies inside of the icecream. The kona coffee had a strong coffee taste and was not as sweet. Lychee had actual chunks of lychee!!! It was also more like a gelato than an ice cream. Service: Everyone who worked there was very nice and gave us HUGE samples. They were very patient with us when we were debating over with flavors to choose from. Price: The total came out to be $ 8.50, so spitting between 6 of us we each paid a little over $ 1. For the service and the quality of ice cream we received, I am VERYHAPPY with this small investment. Setting: It’s located inside of the Hilton mall near the end, so it may be a little hard to find. There are 4 small tables inside of the shop, so you may need to go outside to find seats if you want to sit down. Overall impression: I really liked the Hawaiian-themed flavors and how friendly the staff were. Plus, YOUCANNEVERGOWRONGWITHICECREAM! :)

Lappert’s is in the ideal location. Located in on the grounds of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it’s a hidden gem for a refreshing ice-cream, coffee or tasty treat! My husband and I went here a handful of times during our trip and were not disappointed. Because of the tasty treats inside be prepared for a line around the small shop… especially in the morning, as coffee is item to order, however, the line tends to move fast. The yummy smells of waffle cones and freshly brewed coffee will attract your nose. The ice-cream is always good to order and they have excellent croissants for breakfast. If you’re staying at or near the Hilton I recommend walking over. Perfect after dinner dessert.
