Zeppy has a decent Sicilian slice. But I think I am biased because anything tastes good after running around on the beach and u r hungry

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The cashier was so rude when I showed her the Unilocal check in coupon. The pizza itself tasted like cardboard with cheese on it. You could of had dominos pizza for same price or better tasting. Avoid!!!

Pros: –Open late –Decent Pizza –Tapatio available Cons: –Mean lady(got snappy when I used my Unilocal check in for free soda) –The pizza is already made and sitting out, not fresh when you walk in or heated up –Choice of cheese and pepperoni that is out and if you want other toppings she would give it to you on the side. or offer to microwave it with it on top. –slices are very small squares. Overall, there isn’t many places open late night so If you are really craving pizza at 1am come here.

Doesn’t compare to most pizza joints, and I’m having a difficult time describing Zeppy’s. If you like NY or Chicago pizza, or for that sake anything except microwaveable pizza, then you won’t like Zeppy’s. It’s overly doughy(I love deep dish pizza), but this is beyond that. Chicago style deep dish is at least layered with toppings but Zeppy’s is just pure dough. Maybe they stock all the extra bread from Passover or just have too much time on their hands and let the dough rise extra high. I don’t know, but it’s pretty messed up. Overall Zeppy’s is great drunk food, all the sacrificial bread soaks up the alcohol making the next morning… kind of better. If you’re going sober, I promise it’s going to taste like microwaveable pizza.

(Kind of a random picture to use as the Zeppy’s default, isn’t it?) Ahhh, Zeppy’s Pizzeria is very much a taste of home for me. Where else can I proudly hold my head up high knowing that I completed their one-man, one-pan Zeppy’s Pizza Challenge during my years as a fatass high school student? And believe me, this was no small feat — five founds of pizza, extra thick crust, and I made the mistake of constantly drinking water throughout the challenge. ahhh, nostalgia. It took me four hours, a great deal of time/effort, and… admittedly, a equally large amount of time spent near the bathroom. The pizza here walks the fine line between cheesey and saucey; both are provided in ample proportions, and toppings are plentiful and varied. I’m pretty textbook when it comes to my pizza tastes, and Zeppy’s does both pepperoni and Hawaiian pizza well(my personal favorites). As others have said, Zeppy’s can be a bit expensive in comparison to other pizzas, but its pricing is based largely on location/convenience. A square-shaped slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza should set you back about $ 3.50, but the pizza crust is thick and relatively filling overall. The staff members at Zeppy’s are extremely friendly, laidback, and just plain cool. The high schooler who served my friend and I earlier this week was spot-on in his recommendations to us, and even offered to share some fries from the bar/restaurant next door — as always, these little touches always go a long way! In short, Zeppy’s is pretty solid for those of you just craving some pizza on the beach. For those of you feeling extra hungry/daring/intoxicated, go ahead and give their famed challenge a shot. I’ll be rooting for ya.
