We ordered a fried appitizer, a roll, and teriyaki chicken, it took about 15min for them to get our order, another 30 min to get the roll and fried appetizer, and by the time the teriyaki chicken arrived we had been there for over an hour my fiancé had already finished his dinner. They weren’t busy there were only 3 other patrons in the restaurant who got there after us and all received their food before us. Just bad service, and way overpriced.

Three of us had dinner here on Monday, 16 May 2016. Two of us had combos, and then the third ordered several cut rolls, which were shared by all(and served as the third person’s meal). The the staff was attentive from the moment we entered the restaurant. The food was very good. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. And the hot items in the combos were excellent. Based solely on the food, we would have given Samurai Fish & Grill a four star review. What pushed it to five stars was our server, Esther. She was kind, sweet, attentive, efficient and knowledgeable about all the offerings. A meal is about more than the food. It is about the total experience. Our food was very good, and Esther is an all-star!

Just here a few nights ago and it was just as good as I ever remember!!! We always sit at the sushi bar so we can see everything right in front of us! Best way to do Samurai: order some edamame first, its HUGE and yummy! Then we usually order a roll or two! You can’t go wrong here they have so many options to fit your tastebuds. I do not eat seaweed so I order mine with soy paper which means an extra $ 1 charge… totally worth it! Then from the waitresses we order the sizzling platter! OMG! Its chicken meat white or dark, smothered in teriyaki sauce with cabbage in the bottom and its heaven! It comes with rice and miso soup, so its a little meal on its own! The sushi chefs here are all awesome and will help to customize your roll just the way you want! If you don’t see something you like? As for it! They will make something up for you! I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW but you’re still saying…“Sushi at the Hemet Mall?” YUP! Check it out, its bomb!

Literally the freshest sushi I’ve had in the valley. I know it seems sketchy being in Hemet, and at the mall, but I promise it’s delicious. The employees aren’t sweet and sugary, but it’s just the way they are — same people have been working there for years. They’ll get you your food but they aren’t there to be friends. I do wish they had an all you can eat option and a bigger dining room.

The food quality seems like it’s gone down a bit, but the price is either the same or gone up. My mother in-law who doesn’t eat sushi, ordered the beef teriyaki combo plate and the beef was so grisly & tough, it was difficult to chew, let alone swallow. Not sure what cut of meat they used, but it was horrible. Might just be my last visit, my mallrat days are over.

I have eaten here many times before and the service has never been exceptional, the food has always been good but I prefer Spicy Sushi and Grill’s rolls which is located just up the road, and the service I receive at Spicy Sushi and Grill always keeps me coming back. Tonight, my husband and I decided to give Samurai a shot, and since we both work late we went for a late dinner around 8:30 — 8:40. Online and on the front of the resturant it says the establishment closes at nine pm. Now, this may be a matter of opinion, but in MY opinion it’s bad business to turn away guests before you are closed. When we entered the restursnt and waited to be seated, after a few minutes the hostess carelessly said, «I think we’re closed.» I said, «Online it says you are open until nine.» SHECOMPLETELYIGNOREDME and even when I said l, «Or you can just ignore me?» She still refused to acknowledge me. I’ve worked in customer service for many years, and I have never turned away a guest before actual close, and I don’t really think it’s too much to ask to be treated respectfully, and I might not have minded had she said, «I’m sorry were closed for the night.» It also wouldn’t have been as much of an issue if I couldn’t see multiple people seated and clearly waiting for their food to be made still, and it wasn’t like the place was empty by any means, in fact it was pretty crowded. I will definitely not be returning to this resturant any time soon for the simple reason that when I go to a place of businesses ready to spend a decent amount of money I expect to be treated well and it’s disappointing that because of one careless employee I will not return even when their food is quite good.

This is inside the hemet mall. It gets quite busy for dinners and weekends. Personally, i think this place is a very ‘americanized” sushi restaurant. Most of their orders consist of california rolls and teriyakis and fried tempura rolls and etc. Im more of an avid sushi fan. I like my nigiri, my uni, ikura, salmon skin hand roll, etc. Their sushi is good when compared to other sushi places in the area but its not the best sushi ive had, not even close. Im not sure if their sushi is very fresh, i question it at times, but when i have a sushi craving and i dont feel like going out of town, ill go here.

I’ve been eating here since they opened. It’s pretty good for the price and it cures a sushi craving. It’s not the best… The Bento Box lunch combos are good. The specialty rolls are pretty decent. I’ve tried other sushi places in town and I still think Samurai is best in town.

This place disappoints me every single time I go. Every time I go there I forget and then I start eating and I’m like, oh yeah this food sucks and it’s overpriced I wasn’t supposed to come back here, dang it. The staff is okay and it looks like a decent restaurant but the food is not good, the food is bland and overpriced. Get better sushi anywhere else

Have been coming here regularly since their opening. They are by far the best sushi place in the valley. Cesar and the other Itamae are all great. They care about the quality, display and speed of their work and it shows each time. For fastest service… sit at the sushi bar. Some servers there are better and faster than others, but that is typical for any place. Love the Albacore sushi, Ahi Treasures, Crunch Dragon and Hemet Valley rolls, Albacore & yellow-tale Sashimi… Green muscles are great way to finish off the meal. They have many other dishes for the Non-sushi lovers… Tempura and Katsu dishes are great. Well stocked beer and Saki items also. All in all having Sushi from San Diego to Portland… this place is great!
