We must’ve visited this place once a week this past month alone. Love the fact that they are open till late… and they have expanded! Been coming here for years and cannot believe that I haven’t written a review for our ‘go to’ place for Mexican food. We are never disappointed and we’ve tried several of their menu items. We love their salsa bar, unlimited chips and refillable juices. Their prices have also pretty much stayed the same over the years. We’ll be coming back for sure… maybe sometime this week.

This place is always a favorite. The super nachos with carne asada are BOMB! Would definitely recommend! Ps, I know there is a Los Pericos Grilled… but I don’t recommend it. This place is 10 times better!

I love this place, I truly do. The food looks great and tastes great. There is no other way to say it. Although, service is everything to me. I’ve had the same casher the last two times I’ve been here and both times her face expression and service has been straight disrespectful. The first time, I thought I was just imagining it but by the second time I was sure it wasn’t me. Even my friend that came with me saw the way she treated me. You can look at me and see the happiness pouring out of my soul when I am paying for my food because I work at a food restaurant and I know how sone customers treat cashiers. I don’t know what her issue is but I shouldn’t be hoping to not see this cashier when I come in to pick up my food. The first encounter we had, she dropped the bag into my fingers as she was walking away from me. I said thank you and she just kept walking. The second time was when I came in to pick up my order. I said thank you and smiled and she just scowled at me. She didn’t say anything, just looked at me. I could just drive to the Los Pericos thats in downtown Hayward but this is closer. If this keeps happening, I’ll just take my business elsewhere. Every other cashier had been nice except her. My receipt says Janeth but she could have been signed in as someone else. Again, the review is purely for the young lady that seems to have a customer service issue.

What a surprise this delicious place is. Stopped for lunch because I saw a lot of cars and many Latinos heading in. Really wonderful fresh authentic food. Salsa bar, many juices including horchata which I had. Very efficient service. Mexican tv playing a soccer game adds to the ambiance. I’m hoping that this is a chain! Much better food than Chipotle. Not a fancy place, but modern and clean and light. The most expensive dish is Cameron de Diablo $ 12.99 and you could have a small quesadila for $ 2.35

I came here for dinner after a lazy day with my girl. It was a little busy and loud but no big deal. We ordered the steak fajitas with horchata. When we received our order I noticed how big it was. A big mound of steak and peppers with rice and beans. Everything was delicious and filling. The horchata was also yummy. I’ve noticed that this place has been using better quality ingredients since the first time I’ve been here a couple years ago. Definitely give this place a try if your in the area.

6″ plate the pass off as «super nachos for $ 9 … What a joke. He beef tastes like they took it out the freezer a month ago. Save your money and go else where. Went up to the counter and asked if this was worth nine dollars and the guy said«yeah» … Pshhh

Ordered the Super Taco. It comes with the cheese drowning the rest of the taco. Barely any meat and the meat that was in the taco was full of fat and chewy. They buried the tortillas under a mountain of slopped on sour cream and«quac» Lousy food and too expensive. The small soda cost 2.10! A small? Come on! Not worth it. I rather go back to Jack in the Box and have their tacos!

I’ve been coming here for a while now. The service is typically very quick. The food is always on point. I’ve had the burritos, tacos, tortas, and shrimp so far. Can’t say a single bad thing about them! I highly recommend the Camarones A La Diabla Burrito! The best I’ve ever had, hands down. The sauce was juicy and spicy, and shrimp — plenty. These guys are legit. Excellent Mexican Food. And the waters are fresh: Jamica, Horchata, Melon, etc. I’ll keep coming here as long as I’m in Hayward.

This is the only place(other than Taco Bell b/c lol I love Taco Bell) I’ll order crunchy tacos. This place is always packed with people. Their crunchy tacos are so good. I usually order carne asada here and it’s good as well. What I love about this place is you serve yourself your own chips and salsa. They keep fresh chips at the front of the restaurant that you can grab yourself. They also have a salsa bar with different kinds you can grab as well. Their chips are really good as well and always fresh. The restaurant is really clean as well. They have good service. The one thing though is their prices are pretty expensive. One taco was about $ 4 each. Maybe I’m just used to taco Tuesday or something but I will say it is worth it and the tacos are filling. Overall, great Mexican food! I love their tacos here and it’s the only thing I order here.

The food is good but I do find exception with the chips. They are doughy in consistency & bland. Yikes! They do not compliment the salsa at all. The salsa(more than one) is very good. I accidently warmed up the chips & then they were palatable. The ground beef burrito I had was very fresh(all aspects of it). The tortilla was perfect in texture and taste. If it isn’t fresh, it doesn’t matter if the other ingredients are imo. I will go back and try the other dishes, but I will only buy the salsa. Isn’t that a shame? Salsa is more difficult to blend well imo. The tacos are tasty. The quesadilla was fresh. The staff was polite and quick & I have zero complaints.

We tried out this place a while back and it’s become one of our go-to spots for good Mexican food. First up, their tortilla chips are literally endless and delicious with plenty of crunch and nice flavor. Secondly, their salsas and condiments are great. It’s not the most spicy of salsa, but it gets the job done and sometimes it’s spicier than usual. Third, their menu items are sized well and rarely will it ever leave you feeling like you didn’t eat enough. Their Al Pastor deserves special mention because we’ve tried it at other places and we always find this place’s version much more flavorful. Their drink selection is varied with options for tamarind, horchata, melon, and a sort of grape juice if you’re feeling ethnic(all of them taste pretty darn good). Nothing much to say in terms of service, though. The ladies manning the cashier are always nice and rarely miss an order and you get your food rather quickly. Usually that means the food lacks quality, but it’s not the case here. You get it fast, it’s hot, and it’s freshly made. We’re going to be customers of this place for a long, long time.

I like the San Leandro location(in Pelton Center) and have been going there for years. I was going to give this location a 4 star until I was half way through my regular chicken burrito($ 7.99) and bit into a huge bone. After that I wasn’t interested in finishing the rest. Other than that all was okay with my experience in the restaurant and the burrito tasted good.

I came here because I was craving Mexican food and had time to kill before a study group. I ordered the carne aside tacos. They were the most bland tacos I’ve ever had. I had to smother it with salt and salsa. Common guys, marinate your meat for god sakes! Staff was nice but nothing special.

They asked me to pay 18 $ for 4 steak tacos with cheese and sour cream. After showing my surprise the man working therer said that the owner has to pay 10,000 $ a month for rent. Really? Does that have anything to do with my food? This 10 $ burrito better be amazing. Btw this is my first Unilocal review ever. I don’t want to bash but come on… nearly 20 $ for 4 tacos… that’s a load of s**t

Juicy pastor, chips and large salsa bar, menudo on the weekends, and horchata/Jamaica/tamarind/orange juice? I found my new go to place. I came on a recommendation from my brother and boy am I glad I listened. Food comes out super fast and I haven’t had pastor tacos so juicy in so long(and I’ve had pastor tacos in Mexico City). Service is also very quick so you’ll get your food right away. Love the open salsa bar and drinks. I’m definitely going back for more tacos. You can’t beat juicy meat — ever.

CARNEASADA! This hidden gem is located near Southland Mall. Having trouble finding the place? It is in a little corner near Cold Stone Creamery and Craboholic. My boyfriend and I went here around 8:30 in the evening on a Saturday. It seemed kind of quiet and there weren’t a lot of customers eating inside. He ate here a few weeks before and wanted me to try it because we both love Mexican food. Once you walk in, you wait in line to order from a cashier. You pay and then they give you a number to place on your table. My boyfriend ordered the enchilada plate, which comes with three enchiladas of your choice of meat, pico de gallo, chopped lettuce, guacamole, refried beans, rice, and sour cream. I ordered the carne asada plate, which comes with three large slices of tender beef, pico de gallo, chopped lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, refried beans, rice, and hot tortillas. Both of those items are $ 10.99 plus tax. These items also include unlimited chips and salsa. The restaurant has an awesome salsa bar that has a variety of different types of salsa and condiments to go along with your meal. Once our food arrived, everything looked absolutely delicious. All of the food was very hot and fresh. My boyfriend finished his food, but I had a lot of leftovers. I would definitely come back here when I am in the area and craving Mexican food. You can taste the authenticity.
