Amigos Taqueria

This place is horrible you have to spend 30 dollars before they deliver. Most places is 15. I just think that’s over the top. For lunch your not gone spend 30 bucks

thought i checked into Amigos Taqueria but i actually didn’t. actually checked into El Amigos up the street (reviewed a few months earlier). Unilocal check-​in didn’t show Amigos Taqueria thou it’s been open a year.
typical mexican menu. basic burrito very reasonable (5). other options market priced. dining in front is for Amigos Taqueria.
dining at side is for Tandoori Paradise, indian Fusion… yep. 2 eateries, one kitchen, staffed by Indians.
Eats; carnitas burritos (5) ordered lengua, was told it was out.
–carnitas average with lots of mushy beans and rice.
–FRESH fried chips!
–salsa bar with lots of options, 3 salsas.

The only reason why this place doesn’t have 5 stars is because it is pretty much an ordinary Mexican restaurant-​very basic and wholesome dishes. This isn’t the type of Mexican restaurant that would compete with other places that want to present unique and mind-​blowing flavors.
Yes, it’s attached to and shared with an Indian restaurant, but it was never a bother. I’ve been here several times now and I’ve had the soft tacos, enchiladas (which I actually really like the red sauce they use) and nachos and they were all very satisfying. I really had no expectations other than I just need a decent lunch. My husband loves their quesadillas, though he did mention it was a bit on the greasy side but still good nonetheless.
The people that work there are very friendly. We’ve come to get to know the guy at the counter and he always greeted us with a smile and even gave us free nachos one time because they took a little longer with our order (however we didn’t think it was long at all).
The prices are decent for the quality. Don’t expect anything really special but expect good food and good service :)

Okay so I walked in and it smelled like Indian food. No big I like Indian food, just not on my Mexican food. This is like going to French restaurant and smelling orange chicken. This was very unappetizing to me. And I was very hungry.
I asked the person at the counter if they serve lengua, and I had a really difficult time figuring out what he was trying to tell me.
The food is cheap and it was made very quickly. The taste was not traditional Mexican, as expected. So if you need cheap fast food. Go here. Otherwise walk down Winton a block and there is a much better Mexican restaurant there.

I’d give the actual burrito a ²⁄₅ but everything else: service, atmosphere, Price and SALSA were 5/​5, A+
I’ll be back again, haha, really though, salsa was great
