I got a white 6″ egg sandwich and as the person was making the sandwich I noticed some pink stuff on the egg. I told her there’s pink stuff on the egg. Her response was«its normal». So I sit here wondering to myself: is pink on egg normal?

This is the worst subway I have ever been to. This is my latest experience there. I get the about 230pm. All the food containers are not in the refrigerated stations they are supposed to be in. I don’t know how long they were laying on top of the shelf. When I got to the counter the girl was upset that she had to put the containers in their proper spaces. Wow! I proceed to order a chicken breast sandwich and she gives me as little veggies as humanly possible. When I ask for more she throws me attitude. When I bite into it the chicken is very undercooked and the whole sandwich smelled rotten which was probably due to the fact that the veggies were sitting above the counter when I got there. Even the cheeses and meats were above the counter when I first got in. I threw the sandwich away while she stared me down. The girl is a young Punjabi chick. She should be fired for incompetence. Look at the other reviews for this place. For some reason this subway is buried in Unilocal.When you search you have to go through a couple of pages I to find it. Maybe that’s where it belongs, buried and reborn as something else.

I go to this subway probably once or twice a week since I work right next to it. It’s ok, but the ladies that make it do a poor job. When I say mayo, I don’t mean put a drop of it. When I say put more onions, don’t put a whole pile of it. Seriously, I worked at subway for 2 days and they really do tell you how many tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapeños etc to put, but who cares, are you gonna get fired if you put an extra tomato? & I think it’s like this with every subway, but you gotta stop being greedy with the napkins. When I get a foot long, I at least expect 4 or 5 pieces of napkins, not one or 2. Anyways, besides that, this location is alright.

The Subway clerk would not honor the advertised special: 2 regular Footlong subs for $ 5 after 4PM& all Day Sunday. She said it is only on weekends. I pointed out that this is not what the sign says. She just kept explaining.

This place and the staff is disgusting. I had a bad experience there last year and I stopped going there ever since. That day I went, the lady was taking her time, and didn’t greet me but that didn’t bother me as much as what I’m going to say next. She then started to make my sandwich when the phone rang. She went to talk on the phone which sounded like a personal call; I was super patient UNTIL she came back and continued on my sandwich again with the SAME gloves she was using to talk on the phone. I asked her if she was going to change her gloves cause she had just picked up the phone and she responded«the phone is clean, I assure you.» I couldn’t believe she was serious, that’s beyond gross. I’m never going back there. I hope they close.

major attitude at this subway. you’ll get some attitude at most subways but at least you can see them making your stuff and you can rest assured that no one spat in your food! …maybe they cough into your food when they don’t have customers… i am done with subway unless i am starving and there is no food within a mile or something. also — the cookies are really bad. they’re kind of stale.

Hands down worst subway. It’s understaffed and the ones that are here need training. I don’t mind repeating my order in the beginning Turkey and Swiss, but I repeated everything roughly two to three times AS they were putting it on. It was crazy, the major language barrier was no help. It’s not like I have a hard order. Turkey, Swiss, lettuce, pickles, olives, mustard. Oh and the cookies are hard like dry playdo. Yum.

Dear Subway in Front of Southland Mall, You look like the Subway Franchise did all the building and decorating work for you, and that’s outstanding, BUT why are you guys running this store? Seeing all the bad reviews here(which I agree with) should make you want to improve your customer service, but this seems like it’s not the case. I walked in and wanted to get a nice deal on a Sandwich like I always do at other Subways in Hayward, and I do get it, but it takes forever. You have someone who is untrained and unsupervised tending to my needs. Please hire some decent workers :) She didn’t even ask me if I wanted my Meatball Marinara sandwich toasted, and it was still kind of «just warm» after heating. I think the Health Dpt. should stop on by some time. Well, one of your workers who had experience helped her turn on the oven, or practically RESTART the oven, but he wasn’t wearing a hat and had a name tag with his name written in black Sharpie. After that, I sat down and dug into my food with my mouth… I sat next to the counter. It was dead quiet in there! All I heard was the awkward quietness of the untrained staff member taking sandwich orders. Turn up some music for goodness sakes! Lastly, and most annoyingly, is when the boss stops in and asks each customer after me if they want BACON in their sandwich or even in a SALAD! Talk about pushing the limit… She asks if they want mustard or mayo when the customer is already asking for something else. That’s so annoying. At the end, the normal purchase turned out to be $ 9.50 or so for one guy. Now I seriously can assume that they’re ripping their customers off after experiencing hearing that and seeing other Unilocal members commenting on here about overcharging. PLEASEMAKESOMECHANGESTOYOURBUSINESS, BECAUSEYOUHAVEHAD A VERYBADREPUTATIONINHAYWARDFORYEARSANDARENOTIMPROVING. 2 stars! I don’t want to make you guys seem helpless. There’s my two cents. –Ozzie

Horrible customer service. They make a mistake and treat you like it’s your fault. Have visited this store only a couple of times, but each time I’m overcharged. Never going back again… especially when there are much better franchises in the neighborhood.

Ok, last time I posted my review was on 08/12/2012. Gave a decent review but as of today I will not go back. Ordered a cold cut combo, wife ordered a turkey. For some reason they gave my wife an extra topping, a black bug the size of a quarter. I had the same experience at the subway across from chabot. I might have to go togos from now on.

Only reason this place gets one star is because it’s mandatory. Had the worst food experience today of my life at this Subway. I ordered a turkey sandwich, drove to my granny’s house, unwrapped my sandwich and as I’m taking a bite what do I see? A huge black BUG on my sandwich the size of a quarter!!! I will never ever go back there again! I called the restaurant to let them know and I was offered another sandwich… um HELLNO!!!

I dropped in for lunch with my cousin around 2:30 P.M. so they were not busy. I ordered a hot Pastrami Melt. My sandwich maker was puzzled. He had to look at the poster that was hanging above his head to make something that resembled that sandwich. Unapologetic he hands me this concoction that was NOT exactly the description of the Hot Pastrami Melt. Then he proceeds to make a tuna sandwich for my cousin who was also confused by the result. We were starving and in a hurry so rather than complain and let him make a new one(God knows how that would that would have turned out) we ate it. Two other ladies working behind the counter. This is the oddest, and worst Subway restaurant experience I have had.

Will never come back to this place, doesn’t mean you close to all the business you can be rude and think your the only subway around. told this lady to put extra olive and onion, and guess what she didn’t so i ask again and her response was I already did then i politely said can you please put more extra of what I’ve requested she said it’s a lot. then i said well lady if it was a lot i wouldn’t ask you again right? i said i will pay extra for that F!@# silly onion and olives… This place is worst customer service and she was yelling at the other worker there to put name and time. there is another subway near Chabot College. definitely just go there next time…

The slowest service EVER. It took 10 minutes to make my sandwich. And this would be the first time I’ve ever been told I can get six pickle slices and six pieces of olives only per foot long. RIDICULOUS! If you ask me, the subway inside the food court in southland is faster AND cheaper!

This place deserves zero stars. Awful service, very rude employees, and disgusting food. I’ve never had an enjoyable experience here and I don’t know why I’ve gone there multiple times; guess I don’t learn. The soda machines never work, ATM is often broke, and the food always tastes a little off. Do not eat here!

The only reason this place is getting one star, is because I have to put in a rating. The supervisor, shes an older lady, completely is rude and unprofessional. Hella rude when it came to being picky with my ingredients. I got to agree with everyone else, WORSTSERVICEEVER!!!

Worst service ever. They ran out of soup at noon and said they didnt have anymore or wasnt going to make more. Since it was lunch time I would assume you would be more fast since you have the lunch rush and everyone wants a foot long since its cheap. However the people that run this one sucks. We ask for a piece of bread to go with soup if they had it and they said we couldnt have a piece of bread even if we wanted to pay for it. She kept stating we need to put veggies in it if we wanted a piece of bread… so you cant make me a veggie delight PLAIN?!?

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Everytime I go in there, either the ATM is down, the soda machine is broken, there out of this or that, something or another isn’t ready to serve yet, blah blah blah. Just walk inside the mall, there’s a Subway downstairs.
