I didn’t realize that this sushi counter was an independent vendor in Zion until I read Rodney S’s review.
Zion’s one of our stops when we’re in the neighborhood.
Great store and I love their produce section!
I’m not a fan of sushi rolls, but am hooked on sashimi salads.
Whenever I’m at a Korean market with a deli section, I always pick up one of these salads.
There’s four different places where I’ve bought these and out of the four, Badang’s my second favorite.
If you’re not familiar with sashimi salad, it’s a bed of crispy greens with a top layer of sliced veggies (perhaps cucumbers, daikon, picklings, sometimes apples, etc.). Every place has their own spin on the toppings. If I find one with those bright orange fish eggs (tobiko, masago or roe) my heart sings! In the middle will be an assortment of sashimi cubes. The dressing is a spicy sweet Korean chili mix.
Badang’s version makes me happy!
The three times I’ve had their sashimi salad, there were slight variations. That’s a good thing for me. Salads have to be interesting or else I get bored and don’t want to eat the whole thing.
The sashimi portion was pretty good. I’ve had skimpy servings elsewhere.
The size can easily be split into two servings. To be shared or for two meals.
Good stuff, I tell ya!

Located in one of my favorite supermarkets, Zion Market, Badang offers fresh & inexpensive (but not low quality) sushi made daily. We’re talking California rolls/​$ 2.99. How cool is that? Other options include–
spicy tuna rolls
rainbow rolls
baked lobster rolls
salmon sashimi
tuna sashimi
mackerel sashimi
halibut sashimi
sashimi salad etc.
Everytime I hit up the sample ladies throughout Zion Market and lay my eyes at the prepared sushi at Badang, I always salivate at the fishy delights beckoning me to put them in my mouth. That’s what she said! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
For the true foodies, there are live geoduck, halibut & I think abalone. I’m eagerly anticipating snacking on these bad boys soon.
