Place is really clean. Atmosphere is great. Barber Jose(the one with the beard) get down with the cuts and takes his time. Has a lot of customers waiting on him and I can see why with his good quality of work that he does. Great places to get a cut I recommend you come and get a cut here.

The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Franky keeps the place looking spotless! Jose is our favorite barber but from the looks of it everyone does a great job. Prices are fair…

I’d bump it up to a 3.5* if I could, but as y’all know, I can’t. Service is fine, old man Ray still cuts hair. He has great stories if you wanna hear them. It’s a bit more expensive than the other local barbers which is why I don’t come here too often. If you’re a Hacienda Heights local, you probably know which other shops I’m talking about.

Let me start off with I moved to Hacienda Heights to 36 years ago & have been coming to Rays for just about the same amount of time. How many businesses can boast that!!! Rays has always done a great job no matter who’s cutting, granted some of the barbers have done better than others but I have never encountered a bad barber here. My son is at that age where he does not want to cut his hair, but when I make him go «every 2 weeks» he wont go anywhere else & only lets 2 of the barbers there cut his hair… if an 11 year boy can tell the difference in a good cut or a bad cut, then my son definetly has figured it out. I would recommend Rays to anybody looking for a quality barber.

These barbers have a passion for barbers. They’re not part time barbers, they do this because they love it and that passion is seen through the quality of their cuts. A great cut, every time. If you want to penny pinch, go somewhere else. BRINGCASH.

Came here with my boyfriend. He just wanted a 2 all around and was looking for a cheap place. We saw this place and saw $ 8 shave so we hopped in. The only person there was an angry looking woman. The moment they finished she asked for $ 12. When my boyfriend said he thought he saw it was $ 8, she yelled at him. WTF?! Never coming back here. In honesty, the haircut was fine but it’s not really a difficult job is it? There’s no fade, there’s no side burns or anything. Hell I could do it myself but it’s messy, which is why we were looking for a cheapo place. Geez, did not need to be yelled at though. Boyfriend was nice enough to give her a tip but yeah, guess who’s never coming back here again? Maybe if he needs a straight razor shave and someone other than super angry woman was there.

Normal barber shop with nothing new or fancy. Depending on who you get, haircut will be decent or it will be the worst ever. The short old lady is good but she is part time and always has a wait no matter when you go. The price is really expensive considering what you get.

I came in and got a skin fade by Keith. He’s a bad ass barber. He took his time and it was never rushed. He knew what his doing and was on the ball on my request. I never had to asked him to fix anything. He’s the only barber for me. I will for sure come back for Keith

Since i was on a time crunch i came here since it was the closest. Bad mistake. i got a zero on the sides and a 4 on top-fade. Ray himself cut my hair and i had to ask him to fix it a few times and then i gave up and went home to fix it myself. i will never come back again. AND it was $ 12!

This barber shop has been at the same location for 50 years and is a landmark in Hacienda Heights. My father starting bringing me there at age 7 after we moved in and I have been a loyal customer for 38 years. Ray is the man! Like the classic neighborhood bartenders, barbers, and shopkeeps of old, he’s the kind of guy who knows your family and your whole life story. He’ll tell you about the days before the 60 fwy and Colima Road. Its not uncommon for Ray to have cut the hair of 3 to 5 generations in a family. Haircuts for kids are still only $ 9 too. Ray sold the ownership of his shop a few years back but still cuts hair there at the same first chair when you walk in. The other barbers who work there are great people but I always wait for Ray; I’ve never had a bad haircut in all the years I’ve been going there. I live in Corona now but I still drive to Hacienda Heights whenever I can, to get haircuts for me and the boys. Cash only though… probably keeps the price down. Cheers Ray! I wish you many more years… –James Novak

Recently came here since the usual place that I go to was not open yet. I had been to Ray’s before and they always did an ok job, but this time I was greeted by a surly woman who did not seem like she knew what she was doing. She asked how I wanted my haircut and I told her, but she wanted more details. I don’t know lady, I am not a barber. I just sit in the chair, you cut my hair, I pay you, and then leave. That’s how it normally works. I have since learned that I should keep my mouth shut. My haircut looked horrible, like when that dog in Capt Caveman takes off his doghouse hat. Worse, I think I looked like a Monchichi, those grotesque animal-whatever-the-hell-they-are-dolls from the 80s. The really unfortunate part was that I am not the looker and I need all the help that I can get. Fortunately, I am already married.
