Sometimes you can find items worth more than 99 cents in this store, but you pay 99 cents for it! And you cant find the item anywhere in the 99 cent store next door. I guess thats why this 99 cent store has been here for so many years. Its ghetto here… but if it has the items im looking for, i dont see why i should complain :)

This entire area is pretty bad. Really old and run down. The store inside is really messy, old, and dusty, but you can find what you need by looking in the general area. I come here as a second choice if the 99 cent store next door doesn’t have what I’m looking for(because the items here can be more than $ 1 and because they charge 50 cents for credit card purchase under $ 10). I’m really surprised that this store lasted — it’s been around for at least 6 – 7 years. They keep adding more and more items in their store. There’s only 4 main aisles inside, but there’s TONS of items. They used to sell beta fish for $ 1 at one point. They sell things from $ 1 to $ 6: hair clips, sewing kits, sandwich bags, and Halloween decorations. I come here mainly to buy their balloons. Regular solid color ones are ~$ 1.50. The nicer foil ones will cost more. Will keep coming for those balloons if they stick around!

Nice and cheap but it smells like your in Chinatown and the store is messy.

This place isn’t really 99 Cents U Mart — they have stuff that is more than 99 cents(so technically 99+ cents). But I grew up in this store since I am from this hood… and they have some good stuff. They have more Asian stuff than the 99 Cents Only Store because it’s owned by really nice Chinese people. I used to know them well but then I went to college and rarely saw them. The area is kinda ghetto and the parking pavement sucks but there is plenty of parking.

This is the best 99 cent store ever. Way way way better than the 99 Cents Only next door. I’ve been coming here for ages as they have the best selection of anything you need. When you walk in, you’ll see that it’s not a very big store. However, they are plentiful in what they carry and the things they have are of actual quality, not cheap looking like the stuff you get at typical 99 cent stores. Some of the things I like here are the picture frames, fun earrings and hair bands, thank you cards and stationary. They have tons of fun little things that you can pick up and you won’t even get close to breaking the bank here. So affordable!

I like this place better than the chain 99 cents Only store right next door. When they opened that store next door I was really worried that the 99 cent U mart would shut down but it’s been several years and they’re still going strong. Whoohoo! They have better deals and better selection than the big chain next door. Since they are independent, they can buy the small quantities of extra cool leftover items that are definitely worth more than $ 1 vs only buying in large bulk like their competitor. I usually come here to shop first and what I can’t find, I go next door to look.
