Food poisoning alert! I went there yesterday for the first time. We just moved to the area. This looked like a nice restaurant. I ordered a chicken mushroom dish. Forget the name. A couple hours later I started to throw up. Like 30 times. Almost went to the ER. I believe it was the dinner I had at Antonio ’ s because I didn’t eat anything else yesterday except a Mcdonald sandwich 7 or 8 hours ago. Getting better but still suffering from the vomiting

We have been coming to this location since they opened. The food and service is always outstanding — especially Beth! With all the trendy, small plate restaurants opening, it is so nice to go to a restaurant and get outstanding food and service for the money. The scamorza is amazing and I always have leftovers. Easy free parking in the lot next to the restaurant.

Ordered an app and a side salad to go, waited about 10 mins past my order ready time and talked to 5 different people(hostess, food runner, two servers, and bartender). The place was moderately busy so that’s understandable but some communication would have smoothed that out. All in all the food was great.

2.5 stars… mostly because sitting outside is really nice and it’s walking distance from my house. Also they have coupons, nothing says good Italian like coupons. The food is mediocre and with so many good Italian resturants in the area it can’t compete.

Hands down one the best restaurant in the Pointes. Dimly lit and cozy, a nice Place to relax. Great food, good Service, fair prices, never had a bad experience there. My wife is all over the menu and has loved everything every time. I can’t pry myself from the cannelloni, best I’ve ever had, and best bolognese sauce Around. If you’re in the area Grosse Pointe, go here.

We live around the corner and have been here twice. The staff was very nice and made sure everything was good with our meal. The glasses were always refilled promptly. The food was good. My husband enjoyed the seafood dish he ordered. I had fettucini. We liked to sit outside and enjoy some wine. Since we have a little guy we were nervous about bringing him there. It went great and they were welcoming of small children.

I was pretty disappointed in this restaurant, I was served minestrone that was basically watery noodles, the bread was okay, and the Alfredo sauce was mediocre at best, not a lot of flavor or quality happening here, the waitress seemed to be very stressed and worriedly asked me if my food was okay. Being the nice person I am I said yes, but I had to refuse it, the food was terrible.

Maybe if you become a regular(retirement, just back from florida) you can spend enough money here finding the few dishes that might be decent. But as a fairly standard mom and pop italian place it really falls short on alot of dishes. Dont even get me started on the the TERRIBLE pizza. I’ve had better from 7 – 11. The place certainly was intimate and the dining room empty except for the servers sitting at the bar watching tv. The bread cold and our server smelling of smoke we were glad we only wandered in here again because of there 50% of entrée coupon. Honestly I hope something decent moves into this spot instead of the italian dive it is now. Not sure why cooks are allowed to sit in the dining room while customers are eating but looking at the disheaveled staff while trying to eat is well um… uncouth. Only reason I gave it two stars is because the marinara was decent and the pasta ok but the the veal was microwaved to death.

Awesome little spot. The salmon with lemon butter sauce is as good as it gets as are all the dishes we have tried. The price includes a hearty salad and pasta along with the entrée for a very satisfying meal. Definitely a must go to place!

My mom and sister had my baby shower here yesterday. It was perfect. The ambiance, the food, the service– all wonderful. We decorated, but honestly, we didn’t need to! It was so nice and intimate for my 35 person shower. Salad was hearty, and delicious. Pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce, wow!!! We had the chicken piccata, it was so good! All the guests were complimenting and saying how great it was! The servers were on point and everything was served and went perfectly smooth. Thank you for making my baby shower so wonderful! Definitely recommend! Baby

The food, ambiance and staff make this my favorite restaurant in Metro Detroit. It’s somewhat served European style(in courses … Apps, salad, pasta and entrée), and everything — particularly the veal and pasta selections — are the best you’ll get outside of Italy. Also, when they have stuffed artichoke as an appetizer, JUMP on it.

Have continued to become a somewhat regular here and am upping to 5 stars as I have never had bad food or service here. The fried artichoke appetizer is out of this world!

I’m so perplexed with the 4⁄5 star reviews. I’m even confused by the 3. This is not good Italian food. I’m going to say it — i would rather go to Olive Garden than this place. The minestrone was tomato sauce with a few veggies in it, really think sauce and way over salted. We ordered the veal parm and meat ravioli to split. I took two bites of the veal parm and couldn’t eat any more. No taste. I thought it was just mine until i tried the ravioli. Also, no taste. It was not good. I gave the review 2 stars because the service was fantastic. Needless to say, I left hungry(and crabby). I would suggest Villa over this place any day.

I enjoy Antonio’s. My wife and children dine here regularly. The menu offers a broad selection to fit what ever you’re in the mood for. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent. Given that, what’s not to like.

These people Take Care o’ Business like The King, Elvis Presley!!! We recently had our small wedding reception here, and every expectation was exceeded, and in style! Brian began our wonderful experience by being extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating on the phone. He explained about the different options available, all very reasonably priced! His«We’ll take care of everything» demeanor soothed my revved-up bride brain, allowing me to actually enjoy the planning process without worry about reception details. When we stopped by to drop off the cake, we met more of the staff and were again impressed with their genuine, friendly ways. The wonderful Beth was a standout! The romantic, intimate feel of the décor is pleasant too. At first a bit sad that they’d taken down the cool retro fabric wallpaper in the main restaurant space, it didn’t take long for the new décor to charm me with its dark walls and festive accent lights. The skylit banquet room was another delight with its curved, wood-covered high ceiling, chandeliers, and fun green walls! I arrived with my new husband and entourage earlier than expected, and we found everything beautifully set up and waiting for us. After settling in, Beth and her cohort(I’m sorry honey to have forgotten your name-you were great too!) immediately began taking care of us, graciously seeing to our every need all evening. The food was flavorful, generously portioned and quite delicious-I was proud to have my party dine like this instead of being faced with the whole«normally we have good food but for events we pass off church basement dinner fare» thing, which I’ve certainly encountered before. We had arranged for my pal Eastside Elvis to pop in and perform as a surprise for our guests, and Antonio’s helped make this happen as well. I giddily watched my beloved friends and family grinning and raising glasses as Elvis gyrated before their full bellies, his jeweled jumpsuit a-twinklin’. I smiled at Beth, but she didn’t see me as she was busy grabbing dishes and tending to everyone. I’ll always feel very grateful to her, Brian, and everyone at Antonio’s for all they did to make that evening one of the most wonderful, memorable nights of my life.

My wife and I have been here a few times. Both times the food was OK. Not great, but not horrible either. Many of the dishes are very bland. One time I ordered a dish with pancetta in it. Never tasted the pancetta once. What a let down. Why bother adding something as wonderful as pancetta if you can’t taste it? My wife has ordered pasta dishes with chicken or mushrooms. Again bland and just OK. The service is good and appropriately professional for a white table cloth restaurant. They have a nice wine selection and a full bar. I wouldn’t pick this restaurant to go to on my own, but wouldn’t resist going if someone invited me there or was holding a party there.

I love this place. There are lots of places to eat Italian in the Grosse Pointe area but I feel this is the best. The price is not that bad either. I have been here numerous times and the service is always very good.

If it wasn’t for Antonio’s Scamorza –sweet, lucious, oozingly cheesy Scamorza — I would have never rated it over two stars. Scamorza is an appetizer that can only be described as a savory Italian version of French toast. It consists of layers of battered bread surrounding gooey mozzarella cheese and fried till it’s golden and bursting with calorie-laden love. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, they top it all off with a lemon, butter and olive sauce. For. Realz. Every other thing we ate — chicken picatta, ravioli, standard pasta, even the ice cream — was pretty average. Good, but average. Service was slow, but friendly. No special presentation on any of the dishes. Decent wine selection. Exceptional Caprese salad. The only thing that would bring me back is that damn Scamorza… Now please excuse me while I wipe the drool from my keyboard.

I love this place! The dining area is very warm and cozy with fabric covering the walls up to the tall ceiling. The staff is sporting white shirts and ties. Everyone is extremely professional and very attentive. Great Italian food at reasonable prices. My favorite dish is the Bouillabaisse. It is a seafood lovers dream. Mussels, Scrod, and Shrimp in a delicious red broth served over a heaping mound of pasta.(My mouth is watering as I write this). Nice bar filled with local eastsiders and a great selection of liquor, beer, and wine. The bar is my new Friday night hangout! Good times!

We love this place. It’s cozy. It’s in the neighborhood. The food is always good. If you don’t see what you want on the menu(and you’re nice) they’re likely to make it up for you. The caesar salad is among the very best I’ve ever had. Really. And I try a lot of caesar salads. And the martinis are bodacious. Yum.
