First time eating here — my husband picked up subs for dinner. The order was correct but food was just ok. The meat tasted like the«cheap quality» meat and the sub roll was plain white and a tad on the stale side. I was disappointed, I expected so much more from a sub place. So far, Jersey Mike’s is the best in town… or Elizabeth’s Pizza has great subs.

This place is great! They have great customer service, great quick service, and the place is always well kept and neat at all times, and believe me, I have come here at all hours of the day. I also enjoy their delivery service, and never had a problem with receiving the wrong order. The food is not the healthiest, sure, but they are willing to accommodate you if you need them to. For instance, you can get your sandwich wrapped in lettuce instead of bread. I am very impressed with the quality of this place and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sandwiches.

I have background in food service, managing a local Togos Sandwiches eatery in Orange County, CA for 6+ years; that being said, i must compliment this location for everything about the food service industry! As soon as I walked in the place was very clean, the music was comfortable and fun, I was greeted by multiple employees. Of course I have to mention the absolute most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen in my life complimented my Starwars Death Star shirt, recommended the #9 sandwich(because I’ve never been to a Jimmy Johns before), and made the best sandwich ever. The quality of the sandwich was on point! Everything tasted super fresh, it filled me up perfectly, I bought an extra cookie so I could talk to the gorgeous woman again. I took some pictures of signs on the walls because they said very good life guidelines. It’s places like this you rarely find nowdays. Where I live, it’s near impossible. The employees really seemed to get along making a fun atmosphere. The atmosphere is what I always look for, and here it is very genuine.

Amazing subs. Fantastic people. Great delivery drivers. We have never been disappointed by this Jimmy Johns. 10⁄10 would recommend. Review strictly exclusive to the dinner shift!

Don’t know what’s happened to this location, but the food is not nearly as good as it was. Nothing tastes fresh, even the bread seems stale. And the amount of filling on the sandwich is less than it was — the Slim(their term) Roast Beef was simply pathetic as to the amount of beef on it, and for $ 5.25, it is certainly no value. Delivery is still fast, but that has little meaning when the food lacks quality, quantity, and value.

It’s not a bad sandwich– pleasantly chewy roll with a decent amount of meat. My only problem is that they use kind of an obscene amount of mayo. They open really late– I visited at 12:30am on a Sunday night after a late flight arrival– which was great.

There is not one single thing I have to complain about in regards to this location. Service is fast and friendly(both in store and delivery). The ingredients are always fresh. The cookies are always good. The chip bags are always popping. There isn’t a thing I would change. I especially like going on Friday nights, as the manager on duty that night bakes the BEST bread! She works Thursday nights too!

Bad food and service. The kids behind the stand were more interested in how loud they could get the music then making food. They charge for everything including a cup for water. I will never go back.

Open until late, and that is a major plus here. Only provolone cheese which is weird and kinda funny. Subs or clubs are only differentiated by whether they hollow out the bread. But The Gargantuan was true to its name. The Lulu club is a favorite of my daughters’ and it looked yum. My cohort’s The Hunter(that’s the name of the sandwich not my friend’s) was roast beef and since they only had provolone you could only swap out avocado for it, which she did. With a college across the road it does pretty good business and for a reason. So maybe it’s not exactly gourmet but it is inexpensive, uses fresh deli, is open late, can you say midnight munchies and is a good bang for your buck.

*sigh* once upon a time I would have rated this place 5 stars… but the more I went to it and the more I learned about it the less I liked it. They are very very fast. And delivery till 3 am doesnt hurt either. However, there are quite a few ‘issues’ I have with JJ. First off, they ‘scoop’ out the bread… I understand that this is in order hold the fillings… but its kinda sad to see them mutilate the inside of the bread before making your sub. Second, they can be really stingy about toppings. My favorite sandwich there came with cheese and mayo. Now they usually charge extra for more cheese, which is the same amount they charge for avocado spread. Everytime I requested to have no mayo or cheese, and have avocado spread they would charge me extra even though i WASNT getting cheese. They should cancel each other out! Only once did they ever nix the extra price and thats only because I made them ask their manager who said that ‘of course it wouldnt be extra because i wasnt getting cheese’… so why did they continue to charge me more every time i went back!!! Third, their staff is hit or miss. The managers all seem friendly enough and competent… but some of the general staff is terrible. Often times I would go in and the 16 year olds(or soemthing) behind the counter would be talking about banging chicks or something equally inappropriate for the workplace. Oh, and a few times Ive seen them make my sandwich without gloves on. Big plus though is that they sell day old bread for 50 cents… GREAT deal for not very stale bread.

Jimmy John’s sandwiches are fast, fresh, and delicious! Most people in my office rave about their white bread subs, but nothing beats their tender, whole grain wheat bread sandwiches. In fact, you can order any white bread sandwich on wheat! Do this, and you’ll be glad you did… and it’ll be healthier for you, too! I’ve had a number of their sandwiches, but my favorite is the #12, or the BEACHCLUB(served on wheat bread, of course). This turkey sandwich features provolone cheese, DELICIOUS avocado spread, sliced cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and mayo! I’m a fan of cucumbers, but I don’t like them on sandwiches. So, I generally have them hold the cucumbers. I also like to add onions and spicy mustard to the sandwich. In my opinion, you can never have too much spicy mustard! There are several locations of Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches in Greensboro – one downtown, one on High Point Road, one on Tate Street near UNCG, and one on Stanley Road out near the Wendover shopping areas. These sub shops keep popping up everywhere, which is a good thing b/c their sandwiches are delicious!
