Hampton Inn-North Arlington

This place is on the grand prairie side on hwy 360. Not really anything there except an IHOP in the parking lot where they give you a 20% discount.
My wife called a couple times prior to our stay and got a guy who wasn’t the nicest or most polite. When we got there (stayed 2 nights) the same 2 women were working the desk and we thought they were both great. Personable, accommodating, and willing to make small talk.
Free breakfast from 6 – 10 and that was pretty good! 2 rotating breakfast plates, cereal, bagel, danish, fruits, waffles. Very nice. Rooms were well kept, beds very comfortable. Outsoor pool was fun. We’d stay there again but would need to rent a car as there isn’t much around.

Better than the Hilton down the road for service. Older hotel but need was comfy and price was right

We stayed 2 nights while going to Hurricane Harbor. The hotel was a little hard to get to because it’s not conveniently located to an off ramp. The room was clean and everything seemed to work. The mattress was not the best, but tolerable. The breakfast was good and had a good variety. The located of the IHOP was nice and you get a 20% discount with your room key.

I placed my review in my check-​in basically I’m here on training for two weeks. Since I’m not paying, so I don’t mind the place. It has a gym, pool, next to a Ihop. However the breakfast they have here is good. Lots to choose from. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. I really want to mention specially one nice lady. Constance goes above and beyond. She is a sweetheart & made this stay special

Yes this is an older hotel but they are in the middle of a major renovation and it should bring them up to date. I stay here due to it location and proximity to the airport. Plus the staff here is wonderful. So the furniture is older but I’m more worried is it clean. Yes this place is clean.
I stay at a lot of hotels an I can tell you if it’s dirty or musty I’m not staying there. This one is not.

Not your average Hampton Inn. Older property. Lobby looks ok but when you get in the room you will notice it. Beds are ok. A/​c can be noisy. Bathrooms are small. I will say that it is a clean property and the staff was very friendly and attentive. It’s not a bad place to stay especially if on a budget. I am giving it 2 stars here but it is closer to a 3.

This Hampton is a dump. I’m not staying here again. It is clean, but it’s an older property that hasn’t been updated. The rate is so low that it attracts sketchy all around. On the last morning of our stay, there were cops on our floor plus a bunch of broken glass. Do I even want to know??? Nope.

Cheap and clean. The pipes made horrible sounds when sinks or showers were on. The rooms were tiny. No soundproofing at all.

With regard to the rooms, they are clean and decent; what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. However, the building is on the older side — yet, in satisfactory condition. As for the price, rooms are inexpensive… assuming that 1) they don’t (prematurely) cancel your reservation; and 2) you are able to reserve in advance.
The following is why I rate this Inn with one star:
After shopping around for a low-​priced, yet reputable hotel in the Arlington, TX area, I found the Hampton Inn in Grand Prairie. The cost per night was a fraction of the cost of its competitors. My intention was to sleep in the room for about eight hours — between about 11 PM and 7 AM. Well, things did not go as planned, and I arrived from California at 2 AM.
I checked in. The clerk had told me that my reservation was cancelled. I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep. I had a big day the following morning — and with less than 5 hours of sleep ahead of me, the added stress was a bit frustrating.
«No problem,» the clerk said.
He re-​booked my room. Then he told me my new rate. The new rate was about twice as much than the rate that I had originally reserved for.
I requested that my original rate be reinstated. He said he would get to it…
Then my cell phone breaks. I run to the 24-​hour Wal-​Mart for a cheap replacement until I can get to the Verizon store.
But before that, I needed to make a call to California. No big deal; I use the room’s phone for about three calls (approximately 10 minutes each).
I then drive to Wal-​Mart and get my temporary prepaid phone — as I will need a telephone the following day.
At 4 AM, I go to sleep.
Three hours later, I wake up. Then I realize that there was no receipt beneath the door. Strange; the clerk must have made an error.
I call the operator to get my bill resolved. The female who answers the phone puts me on hold and refers to the manager.
At this time, I am running late. Finally, the female clerk gets me off of hold and lets me know that the manager will look over it.
I take a shower, head to the lobby to checkout and ensure that my bill has been corrected. The kind lady at the front desk informs me that everything has been corrected.
Anyway, I never get a receipt. And about three days later, I gain access to an electronic receipt. I was charged $ 35 in telephone charges for about 30 minutes of telephone calls!
Outrageous! And I’m not frustrated at the telephone charges… they are only catalytic to my discontent toward the fact that my reservation had been automatically cancelled!
