Restaurant was clean and service was prompt and friendly. Chips and Salsa were good. Enchiladas were okay, nothing special. Not a bad place to dine if you are close by.

My experience at the place wasn’t pleasant first I walked in no one to seat us so I didn’t know if we had to wait or seat ourselves. After standing and looking around for someone to seat us we decided to seat in the bar area. After waiting over 15⁄20 minutes we had ask this waitress if we can be served after seeing her waited on a table in front of us. Once she took our order our food came before the drinks we were almost done with our food before we got our margarita and their watered down no taste so we sent them back. I will not be going back poor service and food.

I will NEVER come back here. I used a groupon for this location($ 12 for $ 20 worth of food) and wanted to try something new. I wish I had never done so. I came on a Monday(5÷2÷16) during lunch or a little bit after. The food was served rather quickly(of course, there were only 3 – 4 other customers there). I loved the hot sauce and chips. My server Ernie did an excellent job of providing the best service. He was very engaged in his job and I loved that. Now they have $ 2 margaritas on Monday. I ordered a strawberry margarita thinking it was $ 2 until I got my bill. It was $ 7 bucks for a bland, iced drink. No alcohol whatsoever. The bartender told me it’s just the plain margarita *rolls eyes*. She did not tell me that when I said I wanted the margarita. You know anytime you have a special like that for a certain day, you should automatically ask the customer is it the $ 2 margarita you wanted?!? That wasn’t good knowledge of the bartender. Never again. I tried the queso with ground beef and I received the beef on the side of my queso. It had grease sitting at the bottom of the cup it was served in. Never again. I ordered the guacamole and it was made in front of you. It was bland as ever! Just seemed like avocado with tomatoes, cilantro, and onions. No flavor whatsoever. I got the beef enchilada plate with refried beans and Mexican rice. It was nothing to talk about. This was my first meal of the day and I was extremely sick afterwards. I did not finish my food, I only sampled my food. I was nauseated for a while when I got home. I wasn’t thinking it was the food so I took home my leftovers home. The next day, I ate some of my guacamole dip and it was downhill from there. That was the last and only thing I ate yesterday. Fever, chills, nauseated, and an extreme headache. I’ve only eaten crackers since then. I’ll NEVEREVER come back to this place ever. My first and last time. The server was my best experience and that’s not good. Note that I don’t get sick easily and I’m not allergic to anything.

Continuing our tour de’ Texas while visiting family down here visiting family, we felt like we would be doing ourselves a disservice by not eating some Mexican Food. Naturally, we went to somewhere close and Betos fit the bill. Conveniently located off the interstate this establishment was warm welcoming and had a very friendly hostess greet us. Our waiter was great and consistently had my much needed diet coke fix constantly met. A continuous amount of chips were constantly on the table ready for our table to devour. I decided to go traditional and get the cheese enchiladas and tamales. While good these weren’t amazing and tasted like something I could get at any old Tex-Mex establishment. That being said, definitely filled me up. I should comment on my mother in laws plate of the chile relleno. This deep fried goodness was extremely tasty and had a phenomenal crunch met with a gooey and meaty inside. While I only had a taste of this, I could see why our waiter recommended this prior to starting the meal. Overall, good service and decent Mexican food. If I lived here I would definitely come back when in need of a quick fix of Mexican food. But as a very infrequent visitor, I’d have to say I’ll check somewhere else out to try to find something with a more«traditional Mexican flavor» in the area.

Came here with my family after a play, due to Texas Roadhouse being extremely packed. Worst idea. For a table of 14 there was only one waitress, we had to ask for the same things over and over in order for her to bring it. The manager just stood there watching as she by herself served our table. My fiancés nachos that he orders were poorly thrown together. Overall a bad experience and wouldn’t return. The hour wait at Texas Roadhouse may have been worth it.

The food is edible, the service SUXS. We got our food on time, NEVER got refills or asked if everything was ok. It was just my husband and I and maybe 4 other customers there. When we were ready to leave we had to go by the kitchen to get someones attention and as we’re walking out guess who’s racing back into the restaurant, yup our waitress. I guess she decided it was more important to go next door than to wait on us… NOTIP.

I’ve been knowing about Beto’s for some years now. I was in the area the and decided to stop by for lunch. Upon entering the restaurant I was immediately greeted by the hostess. I was seated, handed a menu, and then served chips and salsa. The chips were thin, crispy, and warm. The salsa didn’t have much kick to me but I am also the type to reward/punish my mouth/insides with ghost pepper level spiciness. Despite the lack of heat the salsa did have a good flavor to it and I devoured 3 servings. Looking around the restaurant you’ll notice a lot of décor. One thing that caught my eyes was cheerleader megaphones with local high school names on it(including my alma mater: Go Bowie Vols!). I get the impression this restaurant supports the local schools/community. One thing I was impressed by was the owner was making rounds to each of the tables. He was having light conversations, helping serve food, and refilling drinks. He was very personable. I ordered water(boring I know especially considering Mondays they have a Margarita special) and the Tacos al Carbon. This consisted of three flour tacos with juicy tender sirloin steak. The steak was so tender I’m surprised I had to chew it at all. I thought it was going to melt in my mouth! Also the Mexican rice was fluffy and tender. I substituted the charro beans for black beans; they were ok. The food was good and the tacos were stuffed with meat. For the quality and quantity of the food it was worth the price. After my meal I had to go home for a siesta. The great thing about Beto’s is they did a lot of little things right and the finer details is what can make a good experience great like clean menus(you know how many restaurants I visit that has food stuck on the menus). I give Beto’s overall 4.5 out of 5 stars. 4.0 for food. 5 stars for service.

We have been coming to Beto’s for at least 17 years. It is one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate birthdays. They have great servers, food, and owners. The food is always good and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

I thought the food was pretty good. In my opinion the platters were different, in a good way. I never seen some ingredients on certain platters at other restaurants before. I got the shrimp enchiladas. I’m not sure what the actual plate was called but It was tasty. The actual, physical menu I had was dirty. Salsa was spilled over the top part of it. I barely wanted to touch it. Then the waiter seemed like she couldn’t hear me every time we exchanged words. Then she acted like it was a sin for me to order sourcream with my enchiladas because they came with ranchero sauce on it. Lol. I’m looking at her like ‚“ma’am, yes and please just add sour cream, geesshh”. overall she was nice or at least acted like it even though I had to repeat myself a thousand times. Maybe she had a hearing problem, I don’t…

Food was very bland. Had no spice !! Chips were stale Our waitress was horrible. We asked her to recommend something and she said she didn’t eat at that restaurant. The bathrooms were dirty. When we asked the manager about the Unilocal coupon she didn’t know what we were talking about. THe food was really tasteless

While in town I had to stop by one of my favorites. This place will never disappoint you. I have never ordered anything other than the endless enchiladas, and they are always the bomb. I’m a little sad to see that they upped the price to 9.99 as I remember when it was 7.99 but still, it is Incredibly worth it for the amount of food you can get for it. The service is always great, and if you come here often enough like myself, the servers will remember your regular order and they will have your meal out in less than five minutes. This place is great, and if you haven’t given it a chance I would definitely do so! P. S. — If a Beto’s employee is reading this, please bring back the ice cream machine, it made this place even better than it already is.

I revisited Beto’s today and as before the food was great. This time the service was a lot better than before. The server Kiara, did a great job keeping attentive to our table even though our visit was during a rush hour. Our drinks were full during our visit, and our enchilada refills were delivered promptly. Overall, good job Beto’s! Looks like I will be coming back and bringing more friends here.

This was my first time back in several years. We had prompt service and the wait staff was every attentive to our needs. I had the carne guisada and it was really good. The beef was tender and seasoned well. Planning on taking my mom back, she will love it.

This was the first time we’ve eaten at Beto’s and it won’t be the last! We were greeted at the table with a basket of hot crisp chips and incredible salsa. The salsa had just enough«bite» to keep up dipping! I ordered a house frozen margarita and my wife ordered a beer. My margarita was really good. It had a good mix of liquor and margarita mix. We started off our dining experience with a half order of bean and cheese nachos. The plate was massive and looked ore like a full order. The nachos were wonderful Beto’s refried beans had a nice smokey flavor to them and were flavored perfectly. Our server kept coming by our table to ensure all was well with our visit. We even had a visit from the owner. We chatted for a while and he sincerely thanked us for coming in. We were very pleased with the personalized service we were receiving. For our entrée my wife and I decided to split an order of chicken fajitas. After a short wait, our platter of sizzling goodness arrived. The order was perfect. There was enough meat for each of us to have two stuffed chicken fajitas. Accompanying our sizzling platter, we got refried beans, rice, pico, guacamole, sour cream and shredded cheese. YUMMY! The chicken fajita meat has a wonderful smokey flavor to it and was very tender. We will definitely return again real soon especially since we had such a wonderful first time experience.
