I have lived here for 10 years and have eaten at Cari’s about 10 times. The food is always great and I am picky. The major problem and reason I don’t go there more often is that the service has always been lacking, too many people, food cold, waitress forgot to place our order and left us there for over an hour without checking with us as it was packed. We finally got our order placed but only because I complained about everyone who came after us was almost done eating. The owner cooked our meal himself and did not charge us, it was good, but I can’t get over being completely ignored and left to sit without being asked if we were OK or not. I also like to eat in a quieter setting.

Checked this place out on a whim. Sure glad we did! Don’t let the outside fool you, looks tiny and like it’s always crowded. We decided to check it out anyway. They say is right away, EVERYONE. Was super friendly and food was very very very good!!! We will definitely be back.

What a great place. Service was excellent, breakfast was also excellent. The pumpkin pancakes are special. All around a place to support and enjoy. Also gives selections like egg beaters and even asked how I liked my bacon done.

Food: I ordered a meat lovers omelette. It was okay, I could have made a better one at home. It was sloppily folded and more like an egg pancake than an omelette. Sweet tea wasn’t sweet :(the pancakes were really great– I wish they were bigger. Next time I’ll just get the pancakes. Service: we were seated immediately which was surprising because the parking lot was full. They were eager to sit us, three different people were finding us a table. I thought this was nice until I realized it’s because their main goal is to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Our server was not personable at all. It was all a very quick transaction. I wish the waiter had talked to us, asked us how our day was, something. Overall, decent food and decent price. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.

Husband loved the pumpkin pancakes. I had a omelet with holidase sauce which was delecious. The kids had silver dollar pancakes and eggs. My sister had pecan Carmel french toast that was delecious! Service was good and our coffee staid full.

The food is pretty good. I had the migas which I like. Our waitress was not real good. She didn’t check on us much and when she did, she forgot to bring what we asked for. I had to ask another waitress to bring coffee.

A friendly and welcoming staff is just the first of many happy surprises at Cari’s. On weekends the staff wears t-shirts promoting animal rescue and supporting the local no kill shelter. The owner is a devoted animal lover and the staff clearly shares that devotion. On to the food: Pancakes, delicious. Biscuits and gravy, delicious. Veggie omelet, delicious. Prices: So reasonable. Breakfast for 4, all in with tax and tip, still only a very modest $ 32. The place was packed, absolutely packed, but we were seated without a wait because there is ample seating there, including a lovely outdoor patio. We were visitors to Granbury, TX but if we lived here, I can see making a regular habit of Cari’s.

We visited Cari’s for breakfast because we had read the reviews on Unilocal. It was everything they said and more. My husband and I had omelettes and they were delicious. The pumpkin pancakes are to die for. Prices are reasonable and the service was outstanding!

This is my first review and I MUST say that Cari’s Restaurants hospitality forced me to write this review. the food was awesome! I had a breakfast burrito, decent portion size. it was simple and yet it tasted too good. also had veggie omelet and pan cakes. loved it! The staff here is very friendly and everyone including the owner kept asking us how are we doing n if we liked the food. On our way out literally every staff members came n wished us a wonderful day ahead! It’s definitely 5 star!

Breakfast is cheap, fed a family of 6 for less than Denny’s; service was a little slow for the size of the crowd(maybe 20 locals). We went at 10am on a Tuesday so we didn’t have to fight the weekend, tourist crowd. If your passing through and want a good local joint, this is it.

Came here yesterday for the first time. Usually on the weekend, the lines are so long we don’t want to wait. Now we know why. Great service, and all our food was very good. The cinnamon rolls are awe inspriring! The only part I wasn’t as thrilled with was the pork chop that came with my husband’s eggs. Great flavor, but a tad over cooked and slightly dry. He didn’t seem bothered though. We will definitely come back. It is hard to find Eggs Benedict anymore, and these were quite tasty.

From the moment we walked through the door we were given a friendly greeting and though it was very busy we were seated promptly. Everything was very clean and the service was amazing. We never wanted for anything. The sweet cream pancakes are delicious. My eggs were cooked perfectly on my eggs Benedict, which seems to be hard to find these days! The kids menu offers great little meals with silver dollar pancakes, perfect for my daughters. Not only are the food and service great, but the prices are very good too! Overall it’s a great restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Amazing breakfast and exceptional service. The person greeting guests when they walked in the door was so kind and really wanted to make sure everyone stayed and waited for a table. It was packed and I would imagine it is typically busier than when we were there but well worth it! The pancakes and cinnamon rolls were the best! The rest of the food was above average, nothing fantastic, however as a whole I highly recommend Cari’s. Great for families! You cannot beat the price on the kid’s menu. Great service! We will most definitely go back.

We went here for breakfast a few days ago as we were passing through Granbury. With six of us we tried a little of everything. I personally had the short stack of buttermilk pancakes, they were super fluffy but to me totally passed as a pre-packaged pancake mix, but I could be completely wrong. The other members of my party ordered from banana nut pancakes to the fruit topped waffles which by the way were absolutely NOT Belgian like described on the menu. Service was friendly but there was a super impolite lady that went to every table in the diner and kept asking if anyone wanted to split a cinna-bun. Overall I do not think we will be visiting again… :( (please note that this review is purely my personal opinion of the food, service, and atmosphere at this restaurant«Cari’s»)

Yummy! We came here for a late breakfast(our breakfasts are always late really) and were seated right away. It kind of reminded me of going back to the 1970’s/80’s when we walked in… but I mean that in a good way. It was simple and outdated, yes, however it was warm, inviting, smelled delicious and reminded me of being a little kid again(hence the decades I mentioned) Kind of like a place my grandparents would take me to for breakfast and get their cup of black coffee. Hubby had the Eggs Benedict, he didn’t say much about it, but his plate was clean fast so I assume he liked it. My son had a kids breakfast(was only about $ 4) and it included scrambled eggs, hash browns, 5 mini pancakes and bacon. steal! Naturally we sampled his and we loved the pancakes! I had the turkey club with French fries and was full! The club sandwich was tasty, but nothing special about the fries; they were good. Overall, we weren’t blown away by the food, but when you’re hungry and want an after hours breakfast this place works! I will say that the service was great though. Our waitress was on top of everything and very personable. So when my husband wants eggs & bacon but wakes up too late for the places we prefer we’ll come here for sure.

Don’t walk — run to Caris– be prepared to wait — but know its worth it. I also like they are a great Christian run business — it shows in everything they do. Clearly The LORD is blessing them. Added new pics– tried the pumpkin pancakes and cinnamon roll! They are out of this world.
